Yes so true! A healthy body is attractive and I wouldn’t ever want to invalidate someone on wanting to feel attractive either but if we emphasis how a healthy body feels good too and gives us more energy maybe we can shift the focus from trying to be a certain size to trying to reflect a healthy body AND mind without ignoring the body’s clear signs it needs help just because someone else said “you look fine” ya know? Thanks for watching and for understanding and I hope your cousin will thrive and feel amazing!! Sugar is a hard addiction to break :(

Thank you for being so understanding and for commenting that. It’s so true. It’s definitely been one of the hardest parts in my journey. Being misunderstood or judged. But I hope I can hear other people out and let them know they’re not alone. I believe we can both do good for our bodies and like ourselves at the same time no matter what other people think. I loved how I felt in my past and I want to feel that again. And people were mean to me, called me too skinny and need to eat and what not. So I definitely didn’t get any affirmation when I was thin but I loved myself anyway and I lived my best life. I want that again but in an even better way. People always tell me “society says you gotta be skinny” and I’m like “what?? Society told me I needed to eat more food and that I was too skinny so I dunno what you’re talking about” haha. It’s not about looks though for sure. But when we feel good about ourselves on the inside we like what we see on the outside too. And despite being “too skinny” to people when I was younger I loved my life and my friends and my talents and I think that’s the biggest difference for me. I felt good about myself (even if I also had a bad diet back then I didn’t see the effects of it yet besides my acne). Anyway thank you kindly for watching and understanding ❤️❤️❤️

Wanting to be a 2.0 version of myself is finding a new happy place. I’m not trying to be my 20 year old self again because I’m 33 and I had a baby and I want another one and my body does incredible things but if I could gain more muscle and energy I know I could do so much more and be a better mom to my sweet boy who deserves my very best!!🥹

@@central_scrutinizr I’m so glad it could help someone feel less alone. We can all fight for better health and lives together and I think no one should settle for less. My world around me was always about “who cares just eat it don’t worry about your weight” and that had a negative affect because it lead me to all the issues I have today with high blood pressure, migraine, acne well into my adulthood, imbalanced hormones, food addictions, etc. my dentist turned me away from my blood pressure last year and ever since then I knew I had to take this more seriously. It feels like people wanted me to suffer and that it’s normal to be unhealthy. I feel like I have to fight against the odds to change it and it’s tough. But I’m determined to do that and make a difference. We can both like ourselves and be healthy at the same time and I think that’s worth fighting for! Plus I want to have another baby so I’m trying to fix my issues for that too haha.

Thank you for hearing my story and I do hope it helps someone. I’m almost 34 and it took me 7 years of weight gain and staying silent to not be judged my others before I tried to change my diet and now it’s been 13 years total of battling this part of my life, feeling lazy and sluggish off and on and living a sedentary lifestyle ever since I moved to Oregon 7 years ago. I’m determined to change though. I think no one should settle for a less than healthy life. 😓

I hope watching it helped you see it’s my health I’ve been concerned about. My dad died from a poor diet lifestyle and high blood pressure issues (I forgot to mention in my video my high blood pressure and I’m only about to be 34). My dad died at 57 years old and I saw myself in him forming. I didn’t want that to happen to me and leave my son without a Mom later on in life. This is my story of how I need to take my health seriously and how it’s not about what people think of you. My husband finds me beautiful so I don’t worry about that but my bad choices make me feel ugly and I know I gotta change that. :( Thanks for watching if you were able to ❤️

Thank you so much for that. There’s so much to my story I could have talked for hours but either way I just hope it’ll inspire and help others to choose their health above all. I’m almost 34 years old and I don’t want to waste more time feeling like my body won’t do as much as it could. My dad died in his 50s leaving my 22 year old self without a father. My whole life he had an addiction to soda and food and all I can think about is how I see myself in him. He didn’t make it to even your age and it breaks my heart. My biggest “why” is to be a better Mom to my son and take my health more seriously. Unfortunately America’s food sources is filled with a lot of really bad food and so many of us suffer that. But I’m determined to break away from it and see how strong my body can actually get. Also because I want a second baby and so there’s lots of reasons I gotta fix my hormones again. I succeeded in 2020 and got pregnant Jan 2021 because of it and although it threw me off my path for a while now I know I can do it again naturally and have another sweet baby ❤️

@@Stephanie.Harford I was born/grew up in Eugene/Springfield and then moved to the big city (Portland) where I still live. My Dad was from Bakersfield, and my Mom's favorite cousin was in Turlock, and we used to go both places annually. Needless to say California is not somewhere I ever wanted to live based on childhood trips.

I just didn’t have quiet time to make the voice over with my toddler in the other room and I’ve been trying to work on my health to not work at night and get sleep again. @@Ventura0404 totally get what you’re suggesting! There’s a lot of other things I’d probably change too if I self drafted instead of used a premade pattern. I will say I forgot to mention the bust issue I had was from following the pattern instructions instead of listening to my instincts on clipping the seams and smoothing out the curve and instead I just top stitched and it made the seam bulky and so it was all wonky haha. But yeah the waist could probably go higher too. I just tried doing a dress as quick as I can as I adjust to working different hours 😂 Thanks so much for watching. 🥰
