@@casedinlight It actually sounded quite well in the movie - only, it was used in a scene that was quite full of all kind of overlapping sound effects coming from the characters' actions, background ambience noises and such. Reminds me of what happened in the video game Assassins Creed: Liberation regarding another wonderful composition by Winifred Phillips used in a similar fashion and context - a very animated party out on the open, with lots of stuff happening, which kind of got in the way of enjoying the quality of the music itself. By the way, that song's name is "For the safety of Therése", if anyone's curious about it.
i don't know why, every time I hear this, I feel so sad. There must be something in this song I've been trying to find out. I feel like there's so much sadness or loneliness or emptiness in that ship with the band playing, seemingly unaware that their music was a cry of something I have to identify yet. Rock music fan here, and yet I'm crying now as I'm watching again. Beautiful music.
There's definitely something about it. For me, however, it applies to the whole soundtrack. I think the loss of Howard Ashman permeated to my perception of everything he worked in, same as with Michael Kamen and so many other great artists sadly gone during my own lifetime.
How about this song? I think this would be perfect for him! It's an Israeli children's song that is also a common dance song! ruclips.net/video/fJwrm9_XuR4/видео.html
I know this score was originally composed by Alan Menken for the Little Mermaid, but does it sound to anyone like it could have initially been written as an Irish jig before it was used in the movie?
That song plays in the card factory movie 4 where the girls see a birthday party and Lucy says what's the hell is that and Robin said we better look at it that's gonna be good and the girls take a closer look at it and Lucy feels embarrassed and then when the song finished there was a big huge storm
I've never realized how awesome this song is in the movie.
Antonio Carlos Vieira Caetano Júnio
It's definitely enhanced and polished on the soundtrack. It sounds a lot nicer than in the movie.

It was already one of my fav tracks when I watched it as a kid 😊 It has a such a happy yet melancholic sailor tone
Best part is 0:41 to 0:57 that’s my favourite especially the Ariel sees Eric scene it’s beautiful
The amazing soundtrack in this film is one of the main reasons why it doesn't need a remake!

Funny that. I kinda feel the same. But I feel happy at the same time. The little mermaid is the story that has been following my life since ever

...including Jerry Goldsmith. What devastated me real hard was the loss of Michael Kamen.

I feel like crying - and sometimes do - every time I hear the astounding work of art that is the main theme of 'Band of Brothers'.
"I dont know he looks kinda hairy and slobbery to me"
(Laughs) Not that one. The one playing the snarfblatt.
The score for TLM is just beautiful and very thought through.
I'd love this music at my wedding ☺ if I ever get married
He's very handsome isn't he? *dreamy sigh*
xRaineDropsx I feel like the only cartoon Disney prince that was somewhat good looking was the guy on tangled
I know what you mean that bit is one my favourite bits.
@@devynboyle Flynn Rider/Eugene Fitzherbert
I dunno, he looks kinda hairy and slobbery to me
Me when I met my prince, lol.
Tokyo Disney Sea brought me here. They play this tune on the trains there and it has been stuck in my head for months.
beautiful!!! *tears of happiness*
Pinocchio would dance to this music

He definitely would
I remembered hearing this tune a lot while on board the Disney Fantasy while cruising in the Western Caribbean in May 2014.
Max!!!
Just watched this movie with my daughter, and this music has been stuck in my head ever since. Worth listening to on a loop, for sure 👍👍👍
This was playing the day we were going home and we went to Downtown to get some souvineers. I bawled my eyes out.
That one random sountrack that's stuck in your head but you have no idea where it's from or it's title

Oh I'd never thought about that. It does sound like that though, doesn't it.
"White Aladdin" XD (Some may know what I'm talking about, lol)
Daniel Selk
Haha! “The Little Waistline” XD
@@PMB827 Or maybe both Eric and Aladdin have dark hair, but Eric is more Caucasian?
🎵It's so catchy!🎵
@@zeldafan1942 It's a reference to Honest Trailers version of The Little Mermaid. =) You can find it on Honest Trailers RUclips channel.
This was playing in the background at the Captain Jack's Restaurant in Disneyland Paris :)
Beautiful piece!
This is my personal favorite of Menken's instrumental pieces.
literal mood
I'm probably the only one bothered by this but this isn't a jig, this is a hornpipe
Just asked my sister if the wedding party could enter the reception hall to this song. Doesn't look promising.
드디어 찾았다..... ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
One of my favourite films
yes i found it!
Could someone tell me what instrument is playing at the first beginning? It seems like baroque harmonica...
+Nicolas Lethuillier I Think It's An Accordion
it's a synthesizer
Yamaha DX7 used

“One Step Closer” brought me here.
okay ka fairy ko
It’s very daft to put a temporary bus stop for old Clanfield Village Northbound and Southbound near the duck pond
Okay ka fairy ko ending theme❤
My Little Pony Equestria Girls The Little Mermaid and Tarzan
Some parts of the score kind of sound like One Step Closer from the Broadway Musical
what metre is this
It's in common meter. 4/4
Reminds me of the music during the record shop scene in A Clockwork Orange
