That guy painting and showing you how to paint is a great instructor. You are very lucky to have someone teach you the ins and outs of painting. Good for you!
What an amazing opportunity for you ti have a great person willing to teach you and show what it takes to accomplish a great paint job, and patient at that.enjoy it!!
Wow watching him paint the truck and frame was a great video. Wish I had the money for some of your shirts and a hat but it's not that easy until I get my disability. I've already had 3 strokes and a seizure but I hate not working because I love driving a truck and seeing new states and country's.
Hey Tim, was wondering if you could please do a quick video update of the farm and any progress on the shop? I remember the day that you bought one of those big cranes! I think it was green🤔 and that one day it would be useful for the new shop you would have on your place!
I like them overhead cranes. I work a job at TVA where there was an operator in the overhead crane. The cable was 1”. My friend’s brother was sitting in the trailer we used as tool crib & office. The headache ball fell off the cable, fell through trailer, killing the guy. I think they were at Muscle Shoals, I didn’t work that job. Good job if you could get it. 6-7 weeks 24-7 till job was done. Couple weeks off, then somewhere different. I made $1,000 week clear. If you traveled you got per diem, so much for room & board. Some guys had travel trailers, some stayed in motel.
WOW!!! Weston is going to have a Beautiful Show Truck l just hope that He doesn't go and tear it up and wreck it. You just NEVER know what Weston is going to do when He gets in His crazy head to do.
@@Stephen-carrthere isn’t much left of the original truck from when Weston repaired it. The cab is a different one because it was twisted the frame was bent when it was stretched so it was replaced with the frame tim bought to replace roosters frame. Pretty much the only parts left of the original truck is the engine running gear and the sleeper the rest of it is all stuff that’s been sourced.
Alot of information, like legit, alot of information, this video was awesome, automotive painting is harder than all the other things that come with vehicles, you can tell hes done this for years an hes def the right one for paint westons truck, having an instructor like that is priceless, doesnt getany better than that, thats awesome
That cab needs them air bags under it they do a lot more than you think it keeps the stress down on the cab and sleeper they have a purpose you came this far don’t go to cobbling it together now fix it right he has waited on that truck forever so the small details count on stuff like that
Yea be a good idea to put those cab bags back under when you can. I knew a few guys back in the day that had trouble with that. Mainly the 70” but a good idea with a 63”
Devilbiss bought Binks, great idea, they can steal all the technology and not get sued to it, i run binks trophy guns gravity feed and two quart pot gun, they work good, same needle from 1.0 to 1.8, so if you need to change tips, tip the gun on its back and swap it out, no need to clean typaint out of the gun before you do surgery
Ill be heading over to your booth all the way from down under to shake your hand. I know what it takes to do something like this and the effort required Brilliant. Well done and old mate from FCR- what a legend
Well Tim, you definetly have a great paint instructor there, showing you all the tips and tricks to getting an award winning paint job. Just become a sponge and learn as much as you can from him. He's right, Amron is not the easiest to spray and obtain good results unless you really know what you are doing. Its a good product thats very durable. Love the videos. Thanks for sharing.
Tim truck is looking great, keep up the good work and having a a teacher to learn and show you all this is the best and dont forget to thank your uncle that got you start in the painting world its awesome to see ya'll and fcr working together keep it up
Man this like 4th time this truck been painted in last 5 yrs taking you forever Westinghouse bought a monster truck rebuilt it 8 times already you still trying finish semi 5 yrs later
Tim another awesome video my friend it's so cool to see Brandon teaching you how to paint and to sharpen your painting skills good job Tim damn good job keep up the good work
Also remember where ur fan is on the gun. If u look at the video, u well see urself sometimes spraying in a straight line compared to ur fan running north and south. Ur turning the fan east west and then run the gun east west too. Just beware of the way u point the fan. U did great for a Rookie 😅😅😅😅😅😅 love ya. Lmao 🤣.
Man it would be great if everyone trying to teach somebody how to learn something would teach the way they would like to be taught. I learned that a long time ago and have one of the best crews around at what we do. Hats off for sure. That said, some should people should not even try.
Nice job guys! Hey Tim. Did you see that Sysco transport truck hanging off the Louisville Kentucky bridge over the Ohio river bright yesterday. It was on a lot of utube channels live. They lifted the female driver out of the cab with a ladder truck!
I like paint videos . I painted cars for 10 years for a living and spray with devilbiss pro light and a gti. Great guns. I can see you have some good paintmoves and you will learn to paint guick.

@Gentryandsons Great Job Tim, I know I've been critical of some of your nfly by the seat decisions but it's only been in desire for you to gain a true understanding and respect for the work that goes into the Collision Repair and Painting. You have really shown and gained the respect for the skill and knowledge it takes to crerate an excellent product. You like to loosely use the word Perfect a lot, now learning the correct methods from a seasoned veteran in the industry you have a mush clearer understanding and the depth of time and work involved. Keep up the good work always ask questions if you're not 100% sure about how something works. It's better to ask than to act like you know more than you really do and screw up because that will bring criticism. Also realize that paint is really expensive and performs at a much higher level in those controlled temp environments and will throw you curve balls learning in less equipped shop. Good Luck in your future path to becoming proficient in learning the skill.👏👏👏👏👏👏
