I’m excited for Batman and Robin though I am a bit worried for an older Batman and young superman that sounds weird though I’m glad the batfamily will be established really really hoping they don’t forget about Tim. He’s my favorite character of all time. And he’s always forgotten
it’s a shame tim drake is kinda in a weird grey zone nowadays, i feel like he doesn’t have a very clear and solid role in stories anymore almost as if writers don’t know what to do with him atm
@@eden9186 yeah he was such an amazing character even all the robin adaptations like yj and teen titans took inspiration from him even though it was Dick but ever since Damien was created people put him off the side and say he’s the most boring Robin. When in my opinion he’s the best one and the one that made Robin cool
They always forget about Tim. If they ever do adapt him I hope it will be better than Joel Schumacher's Dick Grayson or Birds of Prey: atFAoOHQ (aka Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey if you like titles that aren't overly long) Cassandra Cain.
I’m hyped for woman of tomorrow, I loved the comic because of how it got rid of the bullshit for supergirl and just gave her a story about evil itself

I’m most excited for Brave and the bold and Lanterns. Wish they had chosen Dick or Tim as Robin before Damian but they could do something interesting if they borrow from Morrison’s Batman and Robin run. I also hope with Damian involved, they can do a Super sons movie or show. As for Lanterns, can’t wait to see my boy Hal get some long deserved treatment
If James Gunn dosen't have Batman say "The Hammers of Justice are unisex" then it's a waste.
While I am a fan of the DCEU and will miss the universe, I am willing to be open to what James Gunn is offering us for the future of DC with the new DCU.
James Gunn really pulled the "You're not a virgin, so I don't wanna smash" card on Henry Cavill. I mean, creatively I get it, but damn.

Also I’ve been thinking, if James does pander to the crybabies and keeps Henry right, my idea is how about Henry will be the Superman that’s exactly like the pre-New 52 Superman in the comics (the Lois and Clark comic book series) that survived the universe being rebooted. And they adapt that story! I know the name and basically whole premise too an extent is already been done with the CW Show*
*But I think it’ll be perfect, maybe a show or movie of him having to adapt to the new universe, raising his son, helping other people out with that cool black no cape suit like the comics as he watches over this universe’s Younger Superman and we’ll get little hints, Easter eggs or cameos of him 🤔*

I'm pretty sure that when The Suicide Squad came out, James Gunn said outright that he had way more creative control over the film compared to GOTG lol. I'm really keen for Swamp Thing. I've always wanted a comic book movie that is completely horror focused (I wish Sam Raimi wasn't bound by the MCU's restrictions when he did Doctor Strange cuz the horror aspects of that movie were the best bits imo).
I agree with you in that everything being connected sounds interesting but also risky. Like the MCU, there will probably be a lot of casual fans who just watch the movies and don't care about anything else, especially gaming considering that obviously requires a bigger investment of time and money for anyone who isn't already a gamer.
I wouldn't mind Gunn using King's Up In The Sky as the template for the Superman movie because that was a great book. All in all, I'm excited for where all this is going.
Im looking forward to some of this. I agree about seeing more animated projects! After watching the Super Sons animated movie a Super Sons animated show would be amazing! Especially since having a good animated super hero show that me and my son can watch together would be cool!

Hopefully Tom King with a filter will be alright. In comics I hear it is due to the editors they are letting these writers do their own thing. So, I hope James Gunn and Saffron pick and choose the best and ideas and throw away all the stupid ones. One can only hope.
I’m excited for this and especially because unlike Snyder you can hear the passion coming from James Gunn when he talks about these projects. You can tell dude cares for the characters.
No, James Gunn is an incompetent hack that's never made anything good. He's going to trash DC worse than it already was. Expect 0 depth, million quips and completely misunderstanding every character.

Apparently Geoff Johns is a little politician and he's always trying to put his own comics as the template for stories. Comics that (for the most part) are cool but sometimes they're not exactly great, let's say. And he's burned a lot of bridges and the new management felt he was a problem.

Regardless of which "Universe" or Director you prefer, it's a good time to be a DC fan. Starting with 2023 - 4 movies, the Arrowverse conclusion, Titans last season, and the continued Superman & Lois series maybe going to 2024. In 2024 you also have Penguin show, Joker 2, and maybe some of the DCU shows starting. Then in 2025, you have 2 Batman titles including Reeves' Batman 2 plus the DCU's Batman movie, and few of DCU titles including Superman, Supergirl Lanterns, etc. We have it pretty good.

@@NARFALICIOUS popular doesn’t mean good. The ratings of shows were crappy for a long time too. Arrow was good for 2 seasons (not amazing, barely ok) and flash for 1 season. Other than that everything was below mediocre. So “not perfect” doesn’t even begin to describe the Arrowverse. And I think I will rip my eyeballs out when Gotham Knights premiers, because it’s yet another Gotham based crap fest without Batman in it, with a very original story that asks the very bold question of What would Gotham be like without its Batman? Truly a story that was never done before.
@@normansmith9009 Yeah, Gotham Knights looks terrible and they are introducing a new son who isn't Damian. Wont be watching that. Stopped Gotham after 1 season.
Even if you think Arrow/Flash was good, then got bad, I don't mind because you had a shared DC universe on TV for a while, something we haven't had in live action. There are surely good episodes throughout the run and just like comics, you dont have to watch/read it all, skip to the run you want. The crossovers were a big part of why Iike the Arrowverse.

I will wait and see how this actually turns out before i even get my hopes up, I kind of wish that they kept the games seperate from the Films and Tv just incase it turns into a massive dumpster fire (Again). So that the games can actually be good, instead of crap tie in games level of quality.
Some I'm excited for and others not so much. Brave and the bold, Superman, lanterns, and Swamp thing I can get behind. Authority should be in their own thing. It shouldn't be in the main DCU.

I'm not going to watch anything that James gunn makes i respect that he wants to respect the source material and all which he hadn't for gotg, peacemaker and the ss. He has proven that he wants his own way. But I'm more into zack snyder's vision, I grew up with him more than james.
Now for your video (im not taking a jab on you or anything i saw hesitant and want to point that out):
I liked that you are direct and determined with your believes but I don't like that you are kinda defending stuff that are red flags.
I get it that you don't want to sound like everyone but what's important is what your gut tells you. For example "I agree to what everyone is saying about Ezra but" you know?
Ezra has done stuff that has been red flags so there's no reason to defend just because they made a movie.
I'm just tired of eristic behaviors with youtubers when they attend to agree but then act like they need to disagree for people to "understand"

Projects look good but the fact he's writing almost everything is pretty concerning, considering how limited he is. Not hating on the guy, but watching his stuff is always drama with juvenile humour or full blown parody.
Maybe whoever plays Superman will be Trans-Henry Cavill and say they identify as Henry Cavill and everyone wins! 😆
