    As a gay male, I need to say that being gay is a hard thing to be born to be. Basic human rights are not always applied if you’re gay.

      Yes there is much still to be done to change the ignorance and bigotry in the world. May you find those who support and fully appreciate the divine person you are 🙏

      If you think its bad now, you should learn what it was like for gays in the 1970s or even 1980s. A lot of improvement has been made in gay rights. Sure, still a long way to go - but please do take a moment to celebrate your progress.

      @@funtimefoxy6699 I am thankful for the progress that we have made, even though it's constantly under a threat of being taken away. There's still many places in the world where being gay is a death sentence. As well every week I have to help gay people that have been rejected by their family harassed and attack right here the United States, so yes, we want to celebrate, but we also don't want to negate the suffering of people that are still going through things right now.

    As a Christian this always confused me. The ability to love is one of the greatest gifts god gave humanity, the ability to love one another as he loves us. To love is our charge as Christians, that’s our entire job, to make people happy, uplift the downtrodden, provide hope to the hopeless, love unconditionally. When did we lose the message? When did we decide to start being such righteous cunts? I had to stop going to church because of this shit. To love is the most sacred act a human being can do. Faith in god should not mean hate or fear.
    I’d also like to add that the Bible, while it is a good book has been translated so many times to get to where it is now. There’s no way that it’s exactly as it was given to us, simply by virtue of the let’s eat grandma rule and is not a good reason to justify hatred in any form. One misplaced comma and a sentence can mean an entire different thing and then you take into account that the King James Version was translated by like 13 dudes and there’s bound to be errors. Also take into account that it can be interpreted differently on each reading. It’s not a rule book it’s a lens, you can’t just look at it, you have to look through it, you have to read it with an open heart and a critical mind.

    I wonder if all this Christian hate for anything lgbtq is cognitive bias. A true Christian should know love thy god and love thy neighbor and we are only saved by his grace and we are not to judge that is for someone else. Bible teaches us not to lie steal cheat lust envy or be greedy yet i see people in church who fall short of that daily. Sin is sin and none of us are free of it while in this form.
    Preach love not hate be judged by that!

      It also teaches against sexual sin, and it specifically speaks against homosexuality. I do not hate gay people, but that doesn’t mean that I have to approve of their choices. Just as God loves us, yet he does not love the sins that we commit.

    • @joshb8105
      @joshb8105 2 месяца назад

      @CoopBo but why focus on 1 sin? Show me a church without any sinners and I will show you an empty church. We are saved by his grace who are you to judge which sin is acceptable and which sin isn't? I would rather not show hatred towards any group or spread hate in the lords name. I would rather try to show grace that I do not deserve with someone who also doesn't deserve it and if it brings more people to Jesus then maybe I did something right. It's the not our place to pass judgment is it?

    • @CoopBo
      @CoopBo 2 месяца назад

      @@joshb8105 No sin is acceptable. For some reason the sin in question is celebrated, and this “pastor” telling people that it isn’t a sin is wrong. It isn’t loving to tell people that they aren’t sinning when the really are. If people think that they are good, then they will see no need for a savior, and if they don’t think they need a savior, they will burn in hell forever. This is true of all sin, it’s just that homosexuality is particularly dangerous in this world because society tries to make it out to be perfectly acceptable.

    You cant twist the Gospel to fit your naritive. It still doesn't change the outcome. If you really loved people you would want them to escape eternal hellfire. Don't confuse perversion and lust for "love." If someone loves someone they would care about their salvation even if it meant offending them.

      If God truly loved you he wouldn't want you to be scared of eternal hellfire ... A loving parent warns their kids to not touch the hot stove - but which kind of loving parent would leave their kids in a house with the stove still on unsupervised? That's the picture you paint of God - that God left us capable of bringing us or someone else into eternal hellfire ... That's nothing that a loving creator would set up in the first place 😢
