Just so others know, if you start buying stuff for a trx4 and expect them to fit on here. It won't. You will need to customize it to fit most trx4 stuff. The bottom center skid is the only thing I have been able to use so far without customizing. We have had it since last Black Friday and paid $230 for it, now you can get it for $160. We changed to a agfrc 40kg servo, Fusion SE 1800kv, wheels tires, Gt5 transmitter and rewired lights so they work on channel 3, added a bunch of scale accessories and now it weights 12.5lbs Only thing we have broke is one of the stock plastic hexes, it's been great, probably 50+ batteries through it so far
Thanks for letting us know, I'm very surprised the Trx4 stuff doesn't fit that's crazy it looks identical to my sport at short glance I haven't had time to get them down and actually compare close. I know the stub axle from the portal is definitely different. So none of the brass upgrades fit these axles then? Just curious 🤔
@RcDungeon Hobby shop sold me a Traxas servo for my gen 7 and it sounds horrible. Maybe endpoints too far but it was pricey. Point is Traxas upgrades seem kinda expensive if they do fit. Everything needs minor modifications
@@staysmallrc yah I stay far away from Traxxas brand electronics. This is a good bit of difference for minor modifications I'll go over it in next video its kinda not an actual clone of the Trx4 it's more of similarly close to it.
It’s a good rig, I’ve beat mine pretty good. All in all, some nail polish to waterproof it and wheels and tires. I grabbed an adapter for my battery and ran with it… after greasing everything.
Looks like a pretty dang decent RTR Bronco. I had picked a Legendary Grando on amazon prime day but don’t think it’s quite as nice that. Nice addition! 👍
@@NEO-RC Thanks Rc brother, I will be working on a comparison video this week, I'm reading in the comments that a lot of the parts for the Traxxas do not work on this HB-1001, but I have located lot of brass thats specifically for this model
Great review 👍 you will find no grease in portals, diffs, gearbox in this but I don't find it a deal breaker but a shame. Found drive shaft grub screw loose whilst greasing these so gave me a chance to check it over and become familiar with it which is not a bad thing. Has a narrow stance so low down weight with a heavy set of wheels was the way I went to keep it off it's roof. Conformal the electrics is necessary as those overcomplicated wiring is not splash proof at at. Ask me how I know 🤣. Keep up the great work 👍
Thank you 😊. I didn't figure the electronics were much water proof other than the esc. I'm getting ready to rip into it grease loctite and all that jazz. Editing the comparison video to the Trx4 now. I've found a good bit of difference between the two mainly in the portal gear drives.
