I didn't want the vlog to end...this was such a good travel vlog. Amazing resort, next trip I will definitely be staying at this one. It looked like the perfect place to just relax and chill, each day going at your own pace. I am the same way when it comes to being in a different country and having to deal with rude, disrespectful "people"....it boils my blood. As always, I love the twist out/braid out it always looks on point. Would still love one day a tutorial on what you do and what products you use. I can't wait to see the resort review video. Thank you for sharing your travels with us and by the way....HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!
Aww so glad you enjoyed it! We enjoyed creating it. Yes, it’s a great place to go at your own pace. You can enjoy the music and games or find a secluded area and vibe out! I had a clip for one of my home videos where I was talking about my hair and then I got nervous that no one would be interested and didn’t include it 😩😂. I need to stop getting in my own way lol

Loved the video guys. Y’all remind me of my wife and I. Loving life, marriage, traveling, and having fun! Haha yea we chose to relax as much as possible. We’ve been working hard and due to Covid, not traveling as much so we just want time to recharge. This resort was perfect for that.

Me and the misses are planning on going to Oyster Bay for our 20th anniversary. We have been to Excellence Playa Mujeres several times and love the Excellence brand. Can't wait to kick back and relax. Are you allowed to smoke on the patio? I'm a avid cigar smoker. Oh and if you ever get the chance, go to the one in Playa Mujeres, Mexico. You will thank me later👍🏾.

Yup. All food and drinks are included, this is an all-inclusive resort. There are a couple restaurants that we went to that are Excellence Club specific restaurants, Magna and Zenith, every other restaurant is open to everyone. Thanks for watching! I recall seeing ramps and elevators on the property. The water front beach houses do not have elevators or ramps though.

Questions:
1. Is the swing first come first serve or do you rent it.
2. Is the outside seating for everyone or do you have to rent the cabana style beds?
3. How does tipping work? Carry money around or you can tip at the end?

The swing is open for everyone. Outside seating is open unless it’s in an Excellence Club area, if that’s the case you have booked an excellence club level room. We just took a lot of 1s ,5s and 10s and tipped as we got service.

Hi! It’s not technically a yeti, but it did the job. I got that particular one from DSW, but I’ve even similar ones at Starbucks and Amazon.
Loved the video! Was the food at the restaurant included in the all-inclusive package?
Thanks! Yes, all inclusive and we upgraded to Excellence Club to have access to more restaurants and hang out spots. The only meal that is not part of all inclusive was the beach front private dinner. But we did get it for free since it was our anniversary and we were staying for 6 nights.

I think we didn’t realize how big the resort is esp if you do Excellence Club because you get access to different areas on the property. We stayed in the building 4 and it was a decent but scenic walk to get to different areas of the property. Might have tried to stay a little closer to the main pool or some where in the middle. They do have bell man driving around in carts so that was cool.

The view was good. The only thing I’d say is that the beach front dinners are held right in front of beach house 4 and those dinners last about 2-3 hours so keep that in mind lol. The balcony is not really private, but it’s ok. I wouldn’t do anything risky out there 😂. The plunge pools are right at the edge.

Thanks! Hmm, it depends on what vibe you want. If you’re looking to party, meet people etc then no. It’s not a party vibe and it’s mostly couples. However, if you’re looking to just relax, then sure…go for it!

Hi my husband and I are staying here next month and I’ve never stayed at a resort where you don’t tip all at the end. How did you handle tipping how much for a drink and how much for dinner? Also are you able to order as many things as you want off the menu at dinner or do they limit you to one item per course? Thanks in advance!!
We take about $200-$300 cash with us and tip as we go. We tip the bartender about $1-$2 a drink. Tip the luggage guy, waiter/waitress and the driver whatever we decide to tip at the time. I don’t remember if there is a limit on orders at restaurants.
I just made reservations for this place for next June. Were you able to get lobster at the lobster hut at that time?
Hi, we went in April and was able to get lobster, but they were on their last bit of lobsters during that time. They will likely be out of lobster by June and substitute those dishes with shrimp.

This was actually the first time we visited Jamaica outside of a cruise so we can’t really answer that. i will say if we go back we would definitely stay here again.
What are the activities like? Do they have things like Rum or Wine tastings?
On the resort that have nightly entertainment like themed shows, individual performances, silent dance party’s. During the day by the main pool, there are pool games, music, trivia, blackjack, and there are rum tasting but not daily. There’s also volleyball, yoga, bike trips, stuff like that. The Excellence app has all the activities and times listed.

This resort is a 4 out of a 10 need new furniture I was in building 6 had partial.ocean review paid additional $500 for the club membership and was shorted bc my husband didnt have a button up shirt and we couldn't enter 2 restaurants 😢.. property is big but not using the space well bc the resort itself is very small. We was picked up with a suburban black truck and when we departEd they pick us up with a small old corolla toyota WTHack. Not to mention we was going to a excursion which the resort was going to charge us 335 per person to.drive us there and pay for the dunn river falls to only find out that it cost $25 per person, so the resort wanted to profit $450 from us thank God I kept connect information from a person driver who picked us up and charged us $170 to ride in Audi. Food is small portion in every restaurants and the sports bar is open until 1am but the food you have to order in the room after 1030pm.
We didn’t have that experience. Sorry that you did. We had a great experience with great amenities. Hope you told the resort this feedback.
Did you have to be vaccinated to go enter Jamaica? And when you were coming back to the US did they ask about vaccination?PLEASE ANSWER
When we went in April, you just needed a negative Covid test. Not sure if you needed to be vaccinated. Now you don’t need to be tested to enter Jamaica. We did have to get a negative test to get back into the US.

Hi, we booked on-site through the excellence club concierge. It was included with our anniversary package which we received complimentary with a 6 night stay. We emailed the resort about it prior to arriving on-site and supplied our marriage certificate. I’m not sure of the usual cost of it. We stayed a full week.

Our package came with round trip, private transfer between the airport and hotel.

How was the food there? Lots of reviews saying it wasnt that good......
We enjoyed some spots more than others. We mentioned our favorite on-site restaurant in the Vlog. It’s important to keep in mind that it’s an all-inclusive resort. All inclusives aren’t typically known for amazing food, so we manage our expectations accordingly. Some people don’t and they go to an all-inclusive expecting top notch, remarkable food or try to compare it to 5 star hotels known for their food. We travel often, from luxury to affordable so we know how to manage our expectations according to what type of trip we planned. When people select an all-inclusive, they should anticipate food and drinks to be inclusive but not to be the star of the show.
