Thanks for your tip about the beach house. My wife and I are planning on going next month (hope the hurricane doesn't mess everything up) and have booked a beach house so hope to get 1 - 6!
Can you do a video (or just describe here) why you liked the beach house over the rooftop suites with the plunge pool? I heard the imperial suites are nice.
So I actually liked both! But what was nice about the beach house was just being able to walk out to the beach from the back patio. But I dont think I would like the 2nd floor of the beach house, only the first floor. But what I liked about the rooftop was the aerial view. Plus the room was much larger than the beach house. Two completely separate rooms (living and bedroom)
I really like your video. Informative and great views. I do find the music to be a bit too loud. A couple of times I couldn't understand what you were saying due to the music. Maybe that is just me, though.
I've been there twice and didn't feel like the rooms were rundown at all. It just opened in 2018. No the plunge pool isn't heated! If you have more questions or interested in booking, feel free to email me alicean@myalitravels.com
A question about the beach house room, and the other room type, do you notice alot of sound throgh the walls (hearing your neighbors)? I am ausitic, and extremely sound sensitive. My biggest anxiety while traveling is if ill actually be able to relax and sleep at night (as the smallest sounds wake me up). Thank you ❤
So with the beach house, if you were on the 1st floor you might hear people above you. You could do a 2nd floor beach house and not have anyone above you, but honestly I would actually book a rooftop terrace suite, you have gorgeous views, a bigger room, and we never heard anyone up there. I'm happy to help you book anything if you'd like, no cost to you! Shoot me an email alicean@myalitravels.com
Hi! I’ve stayed in the beach house room and never once did we hear our neighbors! It was so peaceful! I hope this helps. I can’t recommend this resort enough, it’s our favorite place to stay in Jamaica.
The only sound I heard in the beach house was if I was on the 1st floor if someone moved furniture or something. I would guess the 2nd floor would be fine...or another great option is the Rooftop Terrace Suite with Plunge Pool, it is a larger room and even more quiet! Feel free to reach out and we can talk more and help you book! alicean@myalitravels.com
We have stayed at EOB twice and next month will be the third time. Have you found the rewards program is always down or there are no real explanations on the program?
No the rewards program is pretty non existent. But you do sometimes get personalized promo codes sent to you that only work with your email. Hoping they revamp that soon!
we are going in october and requested beach 4 or 5 first floor looking at the layout of beach it looked good would you recommend a different beach house
So the sun sets over by beach houses 1-6, so you’d have afternoon, evening sun. The rooftop we had in building 7, the sun was over of us all day, but we went in July and some shade after 3?
no, sometimes as a travel agent, i'll get some codes for my clients and I get emails directly from Excellence with promo codes sometimes, but not always
Nothing distinguishes you as an excellence club member. No one asked for our room number at the facilities tailored to club members. No attendants to help. Workers seem unhappy. Some were nice but most of them just seemed so overworked and underpaid. This place was truly disappointing. You’re better off spending less money is a more affordable resort. The excellence club rooms was a waste of money! Very dirty, musty smelling rooms with flies everywhere. We were served breakfast in dirty cups and plates this morning. Food is always cold.
@@bambomagdalene611 So sorry this has been your experience there! We definitely didn't have this experience, but understand everyone can have a different experience!
I also recently stayed here and it's by far the worst Excellence resort I've been to. The service was absolutely the worst and the Excellence club is not worth it here. I was greatly disappointed after visiting Mexico Playa Mujeres and the DR Punta Canta, both are far experiences in every aspect!
So I would say most people did like a $1 per drink, but if we stayed at one area we’d tip them at the end a $10 or something. Most people prob do $3-5 for breakfast, $5 for lunch, and $10 for dinner.
@@my.ali.travelsI agree, that’s about how much we tip as well. It’s shocking to me that some people have a problem tipping for service, yet they do it at home no problem. These people work so hard taking care of us while we enjoy a luxury vacation. I make sure I take a few hundred in $1’s and $5’s for a week long trip. If you can’t afford to tip, then you clearly can’t afford this trip.
This is by far the best video I saw of this resort. I booked it about three months ago for next year and I’ve been waiting for a good review.
thanks so much!
An excellent job in providing an overview of the resort. The absolute best of them all. Thank you.
Thanks so much!

So sorry about that! Will make sure to address that in future videos!
@@my.ali.travels No worries! Like I said, it was really good otherwise. I did subscribe and look forward to more videos. :)
i read that some people said the rooms were rundown and needed a face lift. also is the plunge pool heated and i like beach house 5 or 4 ground floor

Yes I think 4,5 and 6 would be the best options!!
How long does it take to get here from the airport? Do you have to take a boat at some point or you can reach by car?
@@ChrisSimpson-o5d it takes about 40 mins without traffic. Thankfully mostly on a main road. And no boat needed
Hey! Did you feel you got a lot of sun in either of your room choices?

I didn't know they have that hamacland now to float on. Do you have to reserve that?
No you don’t have to reserve them! Free to use! They are new this year!
Did you bring a drone for the footage or was this something the resort offered at an additional price ?
Brought own drone!
Do you have a special promo code
no, sometimes as a travel agent, i'll get some codes for my clients and I get emails directly from Excellence with promo codes sometimes, but not always
The back ground music is too loud I can’t hear
@@mattrapp3044 sorry about that! Fixed it for newer video!
Question: we noticed that EOB does not use wrist bands, so how does the resort distinguish who is excellence club and who is not?
Based on your room number. Excellence Club level rooms are in certain buildings. So everywhere you go, they ask for your room number.
Thanks

Does the lobster have have lobster rolls?
I dont believe so
whats tipping like there? Not a big fan of having to tip every time I want a drink
