this choir, its master and music, are a combination i have never witnessed in my years as a choirister. a perfect sound, beyond perfection. may the ever risen christ hear the prayers you all offer,in both music and scipture.from chris, lives in blackpool.
Only once I assisted to the tradition of Services.
It was in Bath, Christmas 2010, the worst year in my life.
Through that wonderful music, I ended the year a bit happier.
Fantastic they always sing so nicely!
How some of us miss clergy such as Dean of Chapel the Rev. Dr. Jeremy Morris who presided here back in 2013. A real invocation and reflection to start the service. Under his charge it was a service, not a concert and he made an address to make that clear. Fast forward 10 years. The new Director of Music is fantastic and the sound has never been better in recent times. But the liturgy? What liturgy? Well there has been a change of Dean in those 10 years. It's now clearly a concert, though I see the crucifer (processional cross) has been restored. No candle-bearers though, and no real reflection beyond some inoffensive mush. I see the hand of the BBC in this, but who knows?
the accoustics of the KC chapel are perfect for this music
Sacred, sanctifying - superb.
Super !!!!!!!!!!!
Sublime in every respect. I value it especially since Anglican choral services are virtually non-existent here.
And G. K. Chesterton's 'Donkey' poem - what's not to like?!
