Revised Upgrade Guide From TopWisdom to Ruida for Co2 Laser Machine.

- G’day, This guide is for Upgrading From TopWisdom Controller TL410C to the Ruida RDC6445, however this can be adapted to the Ruida RDC 6442 and Trocen 708 Series.
The PDF Document with all the configuration settings for the Red & Black Chinese Laser with a work area of 700x500mm is discussed in this Guide.
(Please Note: This can also be adapted for use with other cutting area sizes, and settings are used to help with initial setup only and will need to be fine tuned to your specific machine, The Trocen 708 Series Configuration settings are NOT discussed in the PDF Guide)

Love your videos Matt, I have adjusted the default speed/ acceleration machine settings of my Chinese Red LASER 100w (900X600MM). Is there a way to completely reset back to the original settings using thew TopWisdom controller or LightBurn? Or could you send me the settings? Thanks!
Matt, Thank you for all your videos. Really made us more comfortable with the idea of this 80w laser. Have you been able to engrave on a powder coated travel mug? Like a 32oz Yeti Cup. Cannot find anyone who is using the rotary wheel attachment and engraving/marking on Travel mugs.....help. Thanks again!!!
Hi Robert, I personally have not engraved on these, but I know of a few guys doing exactly that with their 80w laser and rotary attachment. I was kindly sent one as a gift from one of these guys, and it looks great. Cheers Matt
I've just taken possession of mine, so still looking into what upgrades I should be doing. However once I've tested it a little, I'm thinking I will be following your guide to upgrade the control panel.And does this mean you are now running the Lightburn software with it?
Yes. And Lightburn is a superior product to the autolaser software that came with this machine you won't regret it. Cheers Matt

Would you say if it’s possible to upgrade a m2 nano on my 60w ten-high laser to a ruida or similar
Sure it's possible.
really don't understand why you need to change it ?! I use the TL and for a 80W laser it totally do a great job, what are the advatages of Ruida ? other than spend 400$
This video was made before that TopWisdom controller had compatibility with LightBurn software, however Ruida controllers do have better functionality and in my opinion are easier to use and configure.
I'm about to order an 80w red & black laser with a TopWisom controller. I can't understand the actual benefits of moving to Ruida controller apart from using Lightburn software. Will the TopWisom controller work with RDWorks? Partially? Not at all? In case it will not work with RDWorks what about the software provided with the machine? Is it so bad? And what about creating the output file in Lightburn or RDWorks or even Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw, then moving it to the machine using a USB stick? Is it feasible? Hi SR - did you receive a reply. I replied earlier and came back to add a comment and noticed my reply is missing. RUclips comments don't work well for me, maybe in future shoot me an email using the address in the description.
To answer your question (this time briefly) - TopWisdom Controllers will only work with the software it came with (AutoLaser) and will only read output files from it. The controller will not work at all with RDWorks or LightBurn or their output files.
I am told that LightBurn are getting closer to compatibility, but there is still more work to be done.
I hated the AutoLaser Software, there are a few work arounds you can use with importing and exporting etc (as in one of my earlier videos)
I would still recommend upgrading as in my option the Ruida Controllers are so much better and more reliable, this is from experience using both.
