I bought this card... for price reasons actually, prices don't always make sense lately and this was one of the cheapest 3070 cards listed in scandinavia in late november, there was only one other 3070 and it was some gigabyte card with rattly fans but still it was not that much cheaper and the 3070 ti's and 3080's were are rediculously overpriced and 3060 ti and 3060 were just not available at all at the time... maybe for some hours before they got sold and then for rediculous prices anyway so i actually thought this one made price sense at the time even though it was not the cheapest 3070... and there was some 3070 ti for not much more but with louder fans I don't mind the massive size since i'm almost certainly not going to use the other pcie slots anyway, rarely have i bought electronics and not regretted it after in some way, like thinking "why didn't I buy something cheaper/better/faster", but this one i'm actually really satisfied with, super quiet (almost not audible at all in a case), never ever goes over 61°C even when overclocking the crap out of it, and letting it pull 270 w. Out of the box without manual oc (only the factory oc) it doesn't even go over 55°C and that's with fans only going up to 40%, and it doesn't make any coil whine at all... but some individual cards might have coil whine since i've seen people say that in reviews, but mine doesn't. Maybe depends on the power supply too(?). I did have a much better financial situation than normally so maybe that also made me less picky about the price, but also there wasn't much to choose from and i was already set at building a new gaming pc... last one was from 2015... except i got a new gpu in 2016, GTX 960 with 2 GB vram. I don't use anything 4k and my screen in 1440p this is absolutely great for any game i've tried so far. I think people get too hanged up on its size and weight but since most regular home users only put a graphics card and possibly a tiny wifi card in their slots it doesn't really matter. Most graphics cards are so enormous now anyway, this one is just thicker... well worth it for the silence and the cooling in my opinion.

The quietest card with the loudest coil whine. I had 3 pieces. Each one had tragic squeaks. Changing the power supply did not help. In the meshify2 case it can be heard from 4-5 meters. When I put the MSI RTX in, I have to put my head in the case to hear something. They all squealed so much that only lowering the voltage to 0.800 - 0.825V resulted in all 3 units. A friend also bought one. Exactly the same as with me.
That's weird, seen several ppl mention this online, I don't get any coil whine from mine either at p-mode or q-mode or even when overclocking it +120 MHz and letting it draw 270 W... I also have a Meshify case (the s2), but replaced the default fans from fractal (two of them started rattling after just a few weeks) with quieter ones from be quiet!, it's completely inaudible except for wind whooshing from the fans when it spins up high even if i open the case side panel and put my ear inside.... I saw Linus tech tips testing of the card he also got coil whine from it... I get none... could there be a difference between different psu's maybe?
Same, I bought one from the first batch of these that came to UK and the coil whine was insane. Had to send it back when it defeats the purpose of being quiet.

You know its gonna be expensive even at msrp when a graphics card box comes with a handle on it

Been thinking about getting this one just wish it was white doing a white and black build. But after 3 months how are liking it?
Definitely overkill for the PCB. The hard is too large in size think. Other than that it is an average card.

@@gunnarthegumbootguy7909 Or Maybe the manufacturer makes selections and gives better cards to other markets

Coil whine is worse than fan sound imo, it can sound like a small animal dying which is really distracting
Coil Whine ?
I don't hear any coil whine from this card, super quiet. Normally coil whine happens more on a higher-end card such as 3080 ti or 3090.
he is a chunccy boi :-3
does it perform better than other competitor 3070s?
Not necessarily. Although lower temp = higher freq but air cooling itself does not bring the GPU down lower than 50c.
@@giantbearjj2452 In terms of fps , do you think it lacks performance or is it the same as others , or better
@@apersonwhouploadsrandomvid4132 dude , that card has the same pcb like others , performs the same , but due to better cooling it has lower temps.
