I've had the Teslong for a little over a year now, and I'm just happy as can be at the capability. It's an incredible value for the price. For years I'd always planned to buy a Hawkeye "someday" but the Teslong gets the job done for me.
Before owning a bore scope, after cleaning a barrel I would look from the chamber end and see bright shiny rifling and think, this barrel is clean. After buying a bore scope [a Teslong], I found the barrel was not as clean as thought, and this helped me change my cleaning regiment. Teslong has opened the possibility for more shooters to own a quality bore scope, at a very affordable price.
The Teslong borescope is a game changer! I love the way it works with my iphone and I can take it to the gun shows and just stroll along the tables of firearms and see up close if they are junk rods or if they were well maintained.
Absolutely awesome! I've made very good use of my Hawkeye borescope over the years (which put me in about $4k for the entire setup). It's pretty clear I'll be switching over to this one. I recommend this to EVERYONE: if only for a SINGLE reason -- you will learn more about bore cleaning with one session of bore-scoping than you ever dreamed, lol. Well worth it for that ALONE!
Santa might bring me the 26” 🤗 Can’t wait to look into my new Winchester barrel and also store photos for future reference, and for seeing how dirty it is after shooting and clean after cleaning.
Had the flexible version for a while, and have been very happy with it. I picked up the two you have in the video on Prime Day (replacing an older Lyman unit), they just came in yesterday, and this video shows up on my notifications today :) so far so good, only messed around with the pistol one last night. I think having these ridgid versions will be very valuable. A couple other uses (especially for the short one) are checking gas block alignment, and inspecting inside brass and/or die bodies. I have also used the flexible one inside walls whe doing extricate work. These scopes are a great value for the money, thanks to Teslong for bringing borescopes to the masses, and thank you Gavin for a great review!
@@Ultimatereloader There is a slight difference between the rifle scope I received and yours, my unit does not have the disconnect for the cord. I am wondering if this was a removed or added feature. My unit also came in a box (similar to pistol scope) instead of a tube, and has what appears to be a manufacturing date of "20210125" on the UPC label.
I purchased the Teslong brand flexible wi-fi bore scope for my precision rifles that is compatible with iPhone and iPad. Uses the mo-view app. Also works with pc and iOS. It records really nice video and takes still shots. Very happy with it. I paid around $89. It comes without a monitor but the iPhone, iPad works great for monitoring and recording video and still shots. Also available for android which is even less expensive. Highly recommended..
I purchased one last December? Mine came with the handheld viewer, which is nice if you don’t have a laptop. I was shocked to see that even a new barrel had some imperfections.
Thanks Gavin. With your and Chad Albrecht’s input and recommendations, I have purchased the Teslong NTG150HW Rifle Borescope. and the additional four mirror kit. 👍🇺🇸
I bought the NTG100H based on this review a few days ago. Great value for the $. Like others, I thought I was doing a pretty decent job cleaning up the bore. Wrong. I now see carbon and copper I missed. The Teslong, along with Thorro Clean (best carbon cutter I have used) and Barnes copper cleaner solvent is bringing my bore(s) back to bare metal cleanliness. I can see the scope being useful in other applications as well. Appreciate your many very informative videos. Thank you.
I’m using the Teslong WiFi rifle unit and it is GREAT!!! The WiFi works with my iPhone, iPad and my Windows lap top. The WiFi model allows for more freedom and workspace area without the lap or whatever device taking up space.
I have both flexible and ridged series and both are great, but the ridged is much better for rifles. Flexible is very convenient if you want to tote it to the range, but going through a long rifle barrel is a task. As usual, good video!
Yes I have the older Teslong bore scope and I also have a Krieger 308 Winchester m110 barrel and it’s definitely a BEAUTIFULLY made tube Krieger is no joke my barrel was purchased 3 years ago and apparently Krieger hadn’t changed there Quality at all whatsoever and my Teslong bore scope is also very good compared to the competition of you want to be able to check your high dollar barrels Teslong is DEFINITELY the way to go if you want to shoot small groups Krieger is DEFINITELY the way to go
I finally picked one of these up for my rifles - love it! I was worried it might be too cheapo, but the quality is very good and the price was great. I picked it up from their site directly along with the extra mirrors so I use the big rifle one on my pistol with the 9mm adapter and it works well enough for my needs. I got to see first hand the value of using iosso to clean the inside of my barrel.
I installed this optic on a crossman 760 air rifle.I have now shot the riffle around 500 times during target/plinking practice, and the ruclips.net/user/postUgkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope has done well. With this optic, I have neutralized around 30 pigeons that were invading one of my buildings. For my short range air rifle, I will continue to use this scope, but will be upgrading to a more powerful scope, when I buy a more powerful air rifle, in order to shoot at longer distance. For the money I have spent, this scope has truly been a great buy.
I recently bought the rigid bore scope and love that it fits and has decent video display. I found your video by accident, and I'm glad I did! Would you recommend any solvents or dies to highlight flaws better?
Very nice video. I have been looking at these online. Still a bit confused as to which one to buy. I have been considering the one with the flex tube but am wondering if it would be better to get the rifle rod one instead. I did like the results you got with your unit on your demo. I guess I am just going to have to think on which one to buy just a bit longer before I order. Your demo was very good!
Hey Gavin just received my Teslong 450 26” today .The instructions are not great but your video as always helps out . I don’t see anything about the difference with the red mirror over the other two .Do you have any insights as to the difference.Keep up the great content it sure helps us all .Thanks
Great video always informative thank you Target Suite used one in his latest video on a six-shooter a friend of mine always swabs and oils the barrel before use do I need to re-evaluate my range techniques
I have a Teslong inspection camera I got for duct cleaning, etc. I may have to put one or both of these on my list. I'm wondering if it would help optimize the gas block placement on AR barrels.
I would like to see a rigid case for these, especially the rifle version. It doesn't have to be "included"; it could be an available accessory in their store.
A flexible version would be very useful (could use it for examining engine cylinders too) assuming it works with either Android phone or Linux computer (under WINE would be fine).
Hi Jim. I recently bought a Teslong pistol borescope, and it works as a webcam when plugged in to my Windows computer, and on my phone (Android) I installed the app which is linked in the manual, and it's working well. Have yet to try it on a tablet, but on my Ubuntu Linux computer it shows up as a webcam, but I had some issues viewing the video "stream", but I'll have to figure out how to make it work.
I thinking of buying the Teslong 26in with a 4.5in camera. For rifle. Do you know if the pistol 10” version will work with the Teslong camera that come with the rifle package. Oh and also. Better to buy the rigid rod or the flexible cable? Thanks Gavin
I'm looking for one to view my 20 caliber barrels with a side viewing mirror, the info says it comes with mirrors for : .22 /.243 /.30 /.38 /.40 and more calibers barrel. 20 mirror not shown, I assume it doesn't have the ability to view the 20 with a mirror?
The truth is in the borescope. Shiny rifling when observed from the breech or muzzle can be deceptive. Heat cracking and even pitting on new barrels that sat on the shelf a long time can be plainly seen.
I should've watched this before I naturally bought a Teslong off Amazon for $130. I didn't look at the focus distance because mine is 1.2-4" dual camera. I really like this but unfortunately, it can't focus the inside of a barrel. I guess I could buy an attachment camera but I might as well return this and get one of those since I'm only using it for guns and I can use my computer instead.
FYI, my NTG100P came in dead in and they said that whey would replace it, I have not received a shipping number for the replacement since June 18th, maybe just me, but for me this is not close to good service.
Yeah maybe your experience was a little bit different I ordered the kit that uses the WiFi adapter for iso users but they sent out the model that has the screen so I called them and asked if I could purchase just the cable and WiFi adapter and they were very easy and nice told me no worry’s we will have a whole additional unit sent to your house in a 3 days it arrived in 2 at no additional charge
Did you use the link and downloaded the software that was in the directions? I ask because I did and it is munch slower that what you are doing. How did you connect the bore scope. Did you use a program in Microsoft or one the computer? If so how did you connect please.
Name suggests a Chinese product. So maybe don't connect to any laptop with secrets, and always with location hidded and VPN on. Otherwise Chinese/Russian arms related products most likely "call home" with at least the IP address, and location if they get access to it.

If you don’t mind a question, could it be used when trying to find bullet seating depth at the throat of the chamber/ lands? T I A

Take my money now. Nice review, has to be one of the fastest purchases I have made from a youtube review.
Really appreciate sharing the tool post adapter. Bunch of light bulbs 💡popped up. Definitely making one. Thanks brother. Excellent video!

Great review! Adding this to the “want/need” list.
I bought mine several months ago and opted for the WiFi flex-cable for use in situations/inspections other than just barrels
It looks great, on my "to get" list!
just got my first Teslong bore scope today
Great review, I just ordered one.
Love the one I got. Thing is amazing at the price point. And the monitor it comes with is surprisingly tough, lol.
Helping out with the algorithm you rock
Nice 👍🏻 I might pick one up!
I have the same one. Awesome scope

I own one and for the everyday shooter these are a must. They work great. I use my Android phone.
Been looking at these for a long time it is tome to buy.
They are pretty cool. I hook mine into my Android phone.
Found out why my 788 wouldn't shoot anymore. Cobblestone street all the way down the bore! 😢

I love the lathe setup. I'm thinking how one could achieve this with simpler means, like a drawer rail etc
Just buy one! Forget the one from Lyman. A fantastic tool Teslong makes. Verified customer.
I would like to see a rigid case for these, especially the rifle version. It doesn't have to be "included"; it could be an available accessory in their store.

Being that the rod is just metal, have you seen or had any problems with it scratching the bore?
Anyone know what the magnification is on this? I checked the Teslong website and asked support but they didn't know surprisingly.
Hello, did you have to download any program for using this instrument? Thanks for videos............

Does not work with iphone. The technical support from Teslong concerning hooking the scope up to your PC or Mac is very poor.
