On their last live tour before the shutdown TPR was on the bill with Soundgarden. Taylor had spoken to Cornell in person the night he died at their stop in Detroit. Within months their long time producer Khandwala died in a motorcycle accident. She recently opened up in interviews that writing the album saved her from the depression and path of substance abuse self-destruction she endured since their deaths in 2017. For this song she collaborated with Kim Thayil and Matt Cameron as a dedication to Chris Cornell. Why you haven’t heard from them in a while….she cancelled all remaining shows of that tour, had started writing, then Khandwala died, and she began “drowning madly in deep blue seas (2d verse).”
Another fun one from the new album is "And So It Went", which features Tom Morello doing the guitar solo. I expect it plays great, live (and I'd love to find out for myself)! Great job! 🤘🤘

you should also check "Death by Rock & Roll" by Pretty Reckless. That is an animated video and another mellow sounding song, from the same album as this one I think.
I was born in 2001 and I never heard of this band until today and I always knew her as Cindy Lou 😂🤷♂️

I first heard this on local rock WDHA FM in North Jersey, and then on SiriusXM. Same as Magz, I was like “Where have they been?” Then I read up on the album press release and saw some of her interviews. Appreciate her dedication to the craft. As a parent of a tween girl, like you both, I too felt uncomfortable watching her gyrate…but then neck to ankle (despite the wet look) is more clothes I’ve seen on her than when I saw them live supporting their first album when she was 18/19….so I feel ya both! 😅
