Some background. The pretty reckless was touring with Soundgarden when Chris passed away and Taylor took that very hard (he was a friend and one of her biggest influences) and less than a year later when she started to write music again the bands producer Kato was killed in a motorcycle accident. She have said that pretty much broke her and sent her into a tailspin into depression and substance abuse and didn't even know if she wanted to get out. The entire album but this song especially was her way to cope with the trauma of those deaths and i guess it felt natural to ask Kim and Matt to join in on the song. The entire album that released earlier this year is great. Lots of very different songs and types of rock ("death by rock and roll" and "And so it went" might be a little more what you expected, 25 is like a bond theme, rock and roll heaven and Harley darling is more classic rock and country.

@@Lane2268 nope it was Soundgarden. Audioslave was disbanded in 2007. Audioslave did one show in 2017 before Chris death for a special occasion, but they didn't tour with TPR.

Kim and Matt from Soundgarden yep :) Just a feature on this one song but such a recognizable, iconic style.

Been a fan of this band for a while now having Matt Cameron and Kim thayil on the track must have been an incredible feeling they are legends

You should check out "And So It Went" by them, also from their latest album. It's a great song!

Sound garden had a huge influence on Taylor momsen. She credits her vocals to Chris Cornell. Part of me thinks she added the sound garden guitarist to the band having two guitarists now. If you listen to the entire album you can hear a lot of riffs that make me think that way. I know theyll is tourism’s with them

I love this band official and unreleased music they did on tour in the late 20's. Panic, Blender, Heart are still my favorites. I think she was 15/16 when the band formed In 2007.
