Hi Brenden, great video mate. In the coming weeks, I’m due to commence my commute on bike from Botany to Parramatta via the Cooks River and hopefully via the M4 cycle way. I’m comfortable getting to Olympic Park, however are you aware of any solid resources or maps online that can help me find a good start point on the eastern end of the M4 cycle way?

Hi Andy, zoom into the map on this article, and you’ll see the entry point to the M4 (eastern edge) is from John Ian Wing Parade and the Louise Savage Pathway which takes you alongside Haslams Creek and under the M4 at Newington. The path brings you out behind Bunnings which is where the M4 starts. If you’re interested, I’d be happy to meet you in Sydney Olympic Park and show you the route from there to Parramatta - and I could talk through the local learnings that I’ve picked up over the years.

@@BrendenWoodSydney Thank you very much for this invaluable piece of information Brendan. Up until five years ago, I rode from Botany to Rhodes almost on a daily basis and it was an amazing experience, my fitness level was top notch. Five years being off the bike and I’m looking to get that enjoyment and level fitness back again. I can’t thank you enough for your information and kind offer. I’m going to have a few trial runs initially and will let you know how I get on. Also well done on your video and all your very useful walkthroughs online. Thanks again Brendan.
