I’m an aged nature lover who hunts, does field and home butchering, is an indoor and outdoor cook, has a semi rural life, is a knife lover, user, and collector since childhood, and I have realised Mora Kansbol is my go to knife almost in all occasions. My great WC’s, BRKT’s, Buck’s, Boker’s, Puma’s, Victorinox’s, LT’s and all other knives stay in my closet. Even my other Moras including Garberg carbon and Desert Bushcraft. It’s sad but true. I have my Kansbol on my shoulder sticking to my 511 rush 72 backpack strap, and they are always with me even while at home. Respect from Iran 🇮🇷
Looks like a good allround knife for camp. I'd combine it with a hatchet or a medium size saw. For winter-woodworking needs I'd bring a big axe .. Thanks for sharing your observations!
Yesterday I got my first Kansbol. I’m good when it comes to blades. And if I want to describe it to someone who never hold one, I would tell them Kansbol is BMW of Mora knives.
@@Thoristesting well, it has the SAME blade, different handle (i think kansbol was inspired by 2000 series). Also no sharp spine. Different purpose i guess, made to be used as knife and not all around tool. At least my view on the subject. Also half the price i believe? Not sure.
I’ve seen bears in the forest, I’ve seen bears in the circus, but this is the first time I’ve seen a bear chop a log with a Kansbol! Thanks for posting your reviews, I enjoy them very much!
Great video! Trying to decide between this & the bushcraft/survival or the Garberg right now as they are on sale. As always, Mora performs amazingly well.
Hej Clemens, i depende on my wallet, I money was no issue, the garberg is a better knife, full tang and all :) but again a lot say that when you pay the price of a garberg there are a lot of good knifes out there. I do think that the Garberg is a god buy for the price. but the Kansbol gives you more value for your money, you dont get a knife like that for that price anywere else Dose it make sence?
Don't know what you did, but I have a Mora Companion Regular and the Kansbol in this video and that's never happened to me. Sometimes the factory edges do roll though. If it ever happens again, put it to a high-grit stone and give it a few strops, and it shouldn't happen again.
Really dumb pounding a good blade through wood . Your ferro rod striker can actually cut something . You turned a perfectly good blade into a ferro rod striker .

Great video as always. Truthfully I have never been a huge fan of Moras but that one was impressive, particularly the chopping.

I agree, it is not made for the harder work, but like u say, with a saw og hatchet your "in the woods"
It's good to hear someone having more than one tool at there disposal.....different tool (knife) for different tasks.....great comment

LOL that about sums it up, it is a very god Moraknife
@@Thoristesting how do you compare it to mora 2000?
@@89bondok have not tryed the Mora 2000, maybe ill take a stab at it

Thx. John, what is also fun about you coment is that my name i Thorbjørn meaning Thor (as in the god) and Bjørn = Bear :))
You are doing a nice job, thank you. Your approach is refreshing.
The Garberg, Kansbol & Eldris are all you need for Bushcraft.
Thor's Mighty Arm will make even a butter knife into a Chopper !
@9:56 best image of the day!
Liked that hammer you've made!
The 'Kansbol' is still on my 'have to buy list'
LOL, It is a great series Mora have made there!!! (the Kansbol Rocks)

Would you buy the Mora Garberg or the Mora Kansbol as a allround Bushcraft Knife?
Hej då
Clemens

When are you going to test hammers? Du må gjøre det en gang i hvert fall :-)
Hard to go wrong with a mora.
I totally agree :)
Great stuff.
THX :)
;)
I am disapointed. My edge roled after curving oak piece of wood. Couldnt belive... Nice knife for food preparing but not for cutting or choping wood

He did it to see if it is possible at all, not because he enjoys batoning.
