Ugh! 🤨 I had to swap my door jamb switch early on as it was killing the battery as well… but my wires were still connected. There are three wires to the switch - a red/white, a green/red, and a brown/yellow (wrapped in that textured black electrical tape). When I pull it taught, it seems to pass through to the upper right into the driver’s footwell area… there’s some carpet and paneling in the way. Maybe a creatively bent metal hook can fish it out before going too invasive with it?
I was looking for a single wire because the door switch appears to be the same part as the parking brake light switch and that is only one wire but I didn’t find any wires in my initial search. I grabbed a flexible magnetic pickup tool hoping to fish with that, as my telescoping one wasn’t helping. May have to get a cheap bendable inspection camera or dig into the driver footwell. But again thanks for the tips

Update: I was able to fish out my door switch wiring thanks to some help from @NC944er so now everything is fixed.
