    I have the same issue with that pipe collapsing. It drives well driving on flat roads but no power on hills. Do i have to replace turbo or can it be something else?

    Do you know the labor time to replace these turbos? Trying to figure out book time, not actual time to replace

    Is there anyway to make the turbo louder and give more boost?

    I need your help. Dd13 starts and idles great. In neutral, pressing the excellorator makes the engine stumble and die. Put it on gear (auto d12) it will stumble and barely move, not happy. Any thoughts?

    Is there any type of procedure I need to go through after replacing the turbo? Or is it just “plug and play”?

    • @alreyindustries
      @alreyindustries  Год назад +2

      Just plug and play. The only thing I did was put some fresh oil in the oil supply port before putting that line on. Other than that it doesn’t need any programming or anything.

    How many hours does it take to replace a turbo charger? Which do u prefer oem or aftermarket?

    • @alreyindustries
      @alreyindustries  Год назад +1

      Depends on your or whoever is doing it’s skill level. AND on how easy/hard everything comes apart. Best case scenario 4 hours. Worst case 8 hours.
      OEM is usually best but of course comes at a price. Aftermarket is cheaper but you never know what you’re going to get. If the aftermarket part comes with a warranty it may be worth it if it saves you a lot of money. It’s really just up to you.

      @Alrey Industries Top Tech Diesel thanks for the response. I just like to have a ballpark on how long certain repairs should take. A shop might tell me 10 hours and I wouldn't know any better. Just subscribed

    • @alreyindustries

      No. You should be able to just swap them out and be good 👍

    Do you think it's worth going to a scrap yard and trying to find a used turbo for an old dd15 on a 2015 Freightliner?
    Amazing video by the way. thank you very much for the instruction

    • @alreyindustries
      @alreyindustries  Год назад

      No problem. Personally, I would not. You might get lucky and find one, but there’s no telling how long it will last. Better off just getting a new one and only have to replace it once.

      @@eduardo138879 from the dealer you’re probably looking at around $2500.
      Aftermarket you can probably find for cheaper but it varies.
