Dex glad you did the updates...the 6.0 is by no means bullet proof. It is one of theee worst motors Ford made. With the updates now it becomes much better. I had a 2006 Ford King Ranch 6.0. Great truck and I really never pulled anything with it. Ran great for 90k miles and was in Illinois one morning and it was below 10 deg out when I got up in the morning. Started fine let it warm up and went like 5 miles down the road and the thing was runnin like crap. Anyway it lost an injector and I was 900 miles from home. Got it fixed and for the next 20 k mikes lost 5 more injectors. I by no means am a mechanic but my friend works on these things with his eyes closed. He redid my other inj and flashed the ficm and did thousands in work for me.That is when I learned about the 6.0 and its heui injection system. I sold the truck on craigs list and the guy looked at it first thing out of his mouth was did you do the updates...of course I did not. He said my truck was spotless and was happy to get it. I made out ok but used to get letters in the mail about class action lawsuits against ford and the 6.0 diesel. I now have a new 6.7 and hope it runs good as it is real smooth.

I have a 2005 6.0 that needs powerstrokehelp and then I'll just do like that except keep the front end stock and drop it a couple of inches for a sporty look because it's a 2 wheel drive. But really love your ride bro.

there is a kit on eBay for $500 to do the facelift all superdutys and excursions from 99-14 are the same body's even the interior from the 14's will fit in the older body's the hardest part would be to set up the guage cluster to work with your motor everything else is bolt on.

you would lose your bet. the 7.3 was reliable but lacked the power. the 6.0 had more power than the 7.3 but had issues. the 6.4 was the biggest piece of crap that Ford has ever sold. the new 6.7 is perfect. it has power and reliability.
No actually he would be rite n win the bet! 7.3 was reliable n pretty much had most torque until Ford came with newer 6.7...my boss had an 6.4 n it was far from a piece of crap! U confused! U saying more HP when these trucks are clearly all rated low on HP because they are setup for torque duuuh...all of em HP is going to be low 6.0,6.4,6.7 & the 7.3...I've seen plenty 6.4s and 7.3 here n Ms that will move a mountain! That being said HP is not a major factor for these trucks noone wants HP n a truck made for pulling

not everything is bolt on like the dash..yes it bolts on but u have to cut some of the ac vents and a lil on the dash frame.

Its a headache to change dash, i tried to install a 2011 harley on a 2001, its been almost a year and haven't finished yet!
Other than the fenders headlights bumper and grill. what other unknown parts were needed to do the front end conversion
