Dude, I know this video is almost 4 years old but all I can say is "WOW!". That is 10 kinds of bad-ass. That is how it should have came from the factory. Now I have found something else I want for my F-250. Bravo, sir; I applaud your excellent craftsmanship.

That's an excellent mid console. I love the integration of the factory console lid.
Thanks Roth, since we kept one in the back, it was a no brainer to match the lid to the front.
How many experienced hours builder time went into the console and how much time would you expect a rookie to spend on it ?
This is a very hard question to answer as I am not sure of your skill set and what tooling you use. I have multiple table routers, bits and other tooling to expedite and perfect the process. It took me 4 shop days to build the console. Everything we make is engineered to be easily serviceable and removable. Hope this helps.

console, and said an experienced person with the right tools would do it
in 40-50hrs.
Matt Schaeffer wow. If a shop charges North of 50 per hour, that could get very expensive....and worth every penny. What I like most are the dimensions.... The depth. Every build is is 10 steps above what I previously wanted in my cars.

I stumbled across this video researching ideas to modify my Excursion console to add Ham radio, HP touchpad, switches. speakers, data ports and recharging stations. This is the Sickest Console I've ever seen! edit - NVM I see your contact info in the comments below.

Have you ever done something like this for a Chevy Express Van? I want to fabricate the console for my Express Van and I've been looking for some inspitation to know where to beggin with it, but so far this is the closest. Any tips or ideas to get inspiration from?
What kind of shop do I go to or look for to have work like this done? Is this considered Trim (would I call a trim shop)?

alot of how much questions! this is a really nice setup, and would be interested in a setup like this for my 2000 excursion limited with a 08 dash - all of the electronics but would like to have the CB and the switch board. what would something like this run?
What did you use for the molding " bondo" looking stuff the greenish yellow molding material? Amazing work by the way!!! Love it!!

The outside of the console is wrapped in vinyl.
how much for a 2000 excursion with out sub and amp and ipad dock just something to run toggle switches for light bars or running led interior lighting

No, this is made one off for this client. It is not a mass produced piece. Each console would be made in a one off application.

Try East Coast in Jersey. They have a lot of ford matching leather and vinyls.

What is the profession that that business is. I dont live anywhere near you and I want to google places like that near me. I don't have the trust in myself to do that and I want something similar in my next truck.

Its hard to answer that question, considering there is a ton of product incorporated into the console.

Not sure what you mean by this.
just how they sound and how the console performs as a sub box. basically I'm making the same thing for my f250 and I have the same concerns as far as vibration to dash and quality of bass being that the subs are facing the floor.
Yeah, i guess thats where you lost me. How can you tell how they perform based on your computer or phone speakers?? And also it is a down firing enclosure, so there would not have been a way to show the subs in an installed state.
you are right it is hard to judge by headphones... what I guess I should ask is what do you think would sound better, facing them towards the floor or facing it towards the rear seats, my amps are mounted in a different location than yours... also is your box ported or enclosed?
