About the betrayals in AM, FEdatamine which datamined all of the dialogue options revealed that the betrayals in AM were left overs from the previous recruitment system which forced you to recruit even your own class before the time skip.

Rhea should have been playable in Silver Snow and had a significant involvement in its story post timeskip. It still confuses me that they didn't do that. Would have made that route worth playing more than once instead of it just being Verdant Wind without Claude.
I don't think than Rhea playable is a very good idea, we learn enough about her in this route. For she could be playable only in the Shamballa chapter and another where we are confront to the church contradiction (which prepare the final boss). For me the Silver Snow could be better if they don't miss good opportunities like the parallel between Rhea and Edelgard, the underusing of the Black Eagle (is a Black Eagle route after all) and the useless choices quotes of Byleth (just imagine if the game react to our answer for confront us to our choices)
@@arkhamlerouge8450 Eh I feel like unplayable rhea would just leave her personal arc unresolved at this point in the game. For me I think Flayn should've been the one kidnapped during timeskip and be held at Fort Merceus so that Seteth would be a bit more interesting and Flayn learns the importance of family and Seteth understands Flayn more. I'm up for Rhea kidnapping but that should've been in white clouds and should've been a combined a chapter of getting kidnapped during godess rite of rebirth.
@@tirex3673 I think Jeritza and Caspar would have made an interesting extra support, besides the obvious extra Edelgard/Hubert/Manuela with Jeritza we didn't get
@@Lynn17 Hell, Caspar should get one with Mercedes before that. As much as I like Caspar, it's still weird that they gated the resolution to Mercie's character arc behind recruiting someone she basically never talks to lol, same with Lysithea for Ferdinand and many others
Would have been interesting to say be able to choose a gift and dialogue options and if you got them all right (a good gift and dialogue like tea time for example) then it would give you an automatic support rank up for them. Given that birthdays are only once it would have been useful as a one time thing you couldn't abuse
It's pretty neat that for Sothis' battle lines where in a sense, reused/redone when she became a Mythical in FEH. I wonder if she would've have a unique class to herself.
She has a line in her status page saying "I cannot sleep here, I'll get kicked by a horse!", and I never understood that line because in the base game she never mentions horses whatsoever lol The thumbnail kinda had me expecting to have an answer to that
Now that you mentioned it, have you notice that Byleth in FEH talks about “the flow of time” in his quotes? It’s as if some of sothis way of talking “embedded” to Byleth after they merged (he does say it in his base form but a bit more obvious when he’s in legendary! Byleth).
I think I read somewhere that there were hints that at one point Sothis would take over Byleth but it was scrapped because Nintendo didn't want the player's choice in gender taken away. Personally I think it would have made for a cool hidden route, where you have to do certain things leading up to the point where the two merge and instead of Byleth gaining Sothis' power she just straight overwrites Byleth. It could have some interesting implications and after effects, like more students would defect or leave even if recruited because of her taking over their beloved professor. Or Edelgard launching her plan sooner.
Three houses is one of those few games that I hope in years down the line gets a remastered definitive edition with most (but not all) cut content added in. Looking at things I feel like a lot of the cuts due to overambition/time crunch.
The fact that certain characters were planned to betray you reminds me of how in Fates: Birthright, the plot would just suddenly kill Kaze if you didn't have a high enough support with him.
Lol that just happened to me. I just thought "Ah, it'll be fine. It's a cutscene death, he'll be back later." Guess that means his child ain't never showing up 😂
i was SO UPSET when that happened. i already planned who I wanted him to get a S rank with but for whatever reason i didnt rank up his supports with corrin enough...
More playable characters would have been great. Rhea for SS, Sothis because she's just awesome and should not have disappeared completely from the plot, and Jeralt having an integral part to the game other than just being killed off would have been wonderful.
Should of had playable Judith for VW and playable Randolph, Latislava, and Fleche for CF especially since CF prevents you from getting good units like Catherine and Seteth.
@@ssjgotenks2009 Please fix your spelling.. Yeah I don't get that either. Either the dagger was poisoned - or she just hit a vital organ so well he was beyond saving. Also yeah. Alot of people can heal..
@@Kairos_Akuma I think Athame, the dagger in question, was poisoned somehow, because Manuela mentions that it "Left a wound unlike anything she's ever seen" or something along those lines. So I'm pretty sure it was poisoned, or Agarthan Technology is superior to healing magic and cannot be undone by it.
I think Langrisser 1 Volkoff is the best Jeigan ever because he get the narrative Yeet at the right moment. But whit how 3H work if they did the same whit Jeralt it may deprive players of a fuckton of sunk resources.
@@moltz4866 Sylvain is a free recruit, so you have three bulky units to draw out enemies and reinforcements, and enough firepower to take them out on player phase
Hearing about all these cut features, it makes a lot more sense why the monastery feels like it contains a lot of empty space. The place was clearly originally designed to have spaces for you to go to do all these other activities, but even though they cut the activities out, they kept the layout of the monastery the same. I've been thinking that this is the reason why people don't like the monastery; if it was actually the right size to contain the few things you can do, then people wouldn't mind running around it as much. If it actually had all those other things, then I imagine people would welcome the larger space.
I don't like the monastery because I don't like to run aimless errands and prefer the strategie part of the game kinda worries me that the game is slowly turning into persona or something like this
@@mansourhaddad398 the optimal strategy is always and has always been to warp staff into the enemy throne room and win without pressing a button. Play a better strategy game if you want gameplay. I haven't played three houses so maybe it doesn't apply to this game, but I can't imagine it's changed after decades of the same.
@@frost_hugger8225 Warp in Three Houses is units Magic divided by 4. So someone with 20 magic can only warp someone up to 5 spaces away, and at base, it can only be used once per map.
That would be super cool, and fit well with a Kaga styled entry to the series like that, because horse interactivity is a big part of other SRPGs he's made like FE5 and Berwick Saga. There's a lot of potential for an FE4 remake to add cool new stuff to do using the castle.
@@excalibur2772 FE4 isn't for everyone; being that there's so many things that slow characters down; and it's all giant maps that people scoff at foot locked units just because their footlocked.
Honestly, this kinda makes me want an updated version of Three Houses. It certainly feels like some parts are the game are un-polished, so I wonder if many of these features were cut due to time or money issues instead of design philosophy.
Hey man, it's fair to guess that these features were cut because there's be too much new stuff, but considering some things were at least worked on, it's possible they might come to future games.
Considering they were so crunched they basically only finished one of the 4 branches to be as they intended I believe the vast majority were also cut for time
My theory is that the two placeholder skills are actually Claude and Edelgard’s unique class skill. Air of Intimidation could be Claude’s Babarosssa class skill since he’s flying, and Path of the Conqueror could be Edelgard’s Emperor class skill since Edelgard is meant to be a conqueror
As cool as the idea of horse raising sounds, I’m kinda glad that one was cut. It’d likely just be more busy work that slows down the in between days even more.
Yeah. I can understand that they had to cut alot of stuff out, else you'd never leave the monastery anymore. :D As it is now, it's still on bordering on way too much to do, especially if you want to get the most out of it.
I kinda see why it was removed, because among other things players might think they should relay on mounted units way more than others, making armies a bit samey, and it would make some question why you cannot raise other creatures such as wyverns.
Certain cut content sounds interesting, but the idea of having to do more in the monastery, especially when you’re on your third or so play through, would be so tedious
Fun fact: Seteth, Flayn, Catherine and Cyril have S support CG artworks for Crimson Flower indicating that they were going to join the Black Eagle Strike Force. Also, Hilda has a paired ending with Byleth in Crimson Flower, indicating that she was going to be recruitable too.
I can actually see Seteth and Flayn joining you in Crimson Flower, mainly because there's dialogue from Seteth, where he mentions that he can no longer follow Rhea on her current course, but he follows up by saying that he just wants to disappear with Flayn, so idk if it would've actually worked or not.
The idea of having more betrayals in the various route is intriguing. It could potentially have made the story turns even more engaging, but in terms of game mechanics, it sounds like a nightmare that could seriously frustrate players, especially during a first run. If you don't know when you could potentially lose a unit and plan around it, losing what could be one of your best characters out of the blue could leave you in a lurch. Heck, I'd be curious to know, when 3H first came out, how many players did Edelgard's route first and opted to go Silver Snow only to find you lose two units, at least one of which was probably among your best?
Oh boy I would have LOST it... like, I realised Ashe was missing during my first run of Verdant Wind and while I didn't even really use him I legit had nightmares thinking I accidentally killed him off during Sunday missions without realising because I left them on auto play sometimes... with more betrayal options I would have probably questioned my sanity :^)
I go to Silver Snow first, but you obtain obligatory Catherine and Cyril after the Edelgard betrayal. I think than the church members should compensate the betrayal.
From the dialogue datamine it seems to be a relic from the old recruitment system. You had to recruit your own students or they wouldn't be available in the story.
The part where youre supposed to fight against Felix and Anette, according to Lucky Crit, was the part where Dmitri insisted on going to Enbarr instead of Firdhiad. Supposedly, Anette and Felix strongly disagree that the Kingdom Army prioritize defeating Edelgard rather than reclaiming lost teritories from Cornelia. It was also at this point where Rodrigue was killed by Fleche.
I wish they really dug into DLC as they did with Awakening and Fates. Imagine a DLC where you played as Seiros, commanding her army with Seteth and Flayn and the other Saints to defeat Nemesis's army, or a DLC of Felix or Ingrid as they grew up training with Dimitri and really get to see why Felix started calling Dimitri the boar prince, or the most obvious one being an after-story of Crimson Flower where you fight the Agarthans like in Echoes where you get to explore Thabes Labyrinth. FE3H has so much unexplored potential, even though it is one of my favorite videogames, the developers could have done soo much more with it, as they did in past games.
I always had a feeling that Three Houses was meant to be bigger than what it is now, and all the hidden content that was found, both any that were mentioned here or left out, proves that! I’d be curious to learn about more of these if possible! I do have some idea of what the unused skills, “Air of Intimidation” and “Path of the Conquerer,” might have been intended for, crazy as the idea of it sounds. I think those two were supposed to have been personal skills for Claude and Edelgard before they were scrapped and replaced by what they have in the final game. If that’s the case, then I suspect that they were either meant to be the original personal skills for those two, most likely under specific conditions that go unused and/or may have been Post Time Skip exclusive, or they were meant to be enemy exclusive personal skills if you didn’t side with either of them in the beginning of the game. I have a feeling that whatever it was they were supposed to do, they strongly suggest that they were for the Post Time Skip That being said, however, I did really enjoy learning about the things here today, even if I had known about some of them already because there was more to it than I thought
Man, I wish the betrayals had been more of a thing. I was honestly a little disappointed by how brief and insignificant the shifting allegiances of the characters ended up being where applicable. For how diverse their opinions on the world and its conflicts are, most of the students just follow their house leader and/or professor without their personal struggles even seeming to factor in.
interesting fact; the pre-timeskip dedue portrait shown at 18:24 actually isn’t unused. from what i know its only used once ingame; during exploration in the last chapter pre-timeskip in blue lions, after choosing a specific dialogue option with dedue. i have an image of it on my switch lol
That unique Lysithea Gremory sprite looks the same as her Brave alt in heroes. It’s cool that we get to see how she would fully look in it in heroes, but I wish these unique final class outfits made it in 3H. Assuming that some Wyvern Lord Master Hilda, and Mortal Savant Felix designs in the cipher was supposed to be in the actual game, they would have looked really great
Oddly, the most interesting cut content for me is not one you've mentioned, and not even one that's found in the game files AFAIK. Earlier this year, Nintendo Mobile released a video called "Fire Emblem Castle Conversations - Fire Emblem 30th Anniversary", where during the section with Christian LaMonte (Ignatz' VA), there is a snippet of the cutscene before "To War At Gronder" with all the lords in their higher classes. Claude is a Barbarossa and Edelgard is Emperor. It's at 30:35 in that video, and it's super interesting to me because it actually looks better than what we got in the final game. It's still not quite sure if this was old footage they had lying around or if this was part of an upcoming, scrapped, DLC.
@@BowserGuerrero from my knowledge, the confirmation they speak of is just from the fandom itself. Some pointed out the differences in Edelgard's face, where the supposed beta footage was similar to confirmed beta footage from the E3 trailer from 2018. Not sure if there is anything concrete from it however.
7:00 The dialogue from Hilda makes me think that the requirement for defection would have had something to do with low supports between the defectee and the rest of the house. After all, Hilda and Lorenz can get up to at least A or S supports, it’d be weird for her to say they weren’t close if the two had had high level supports prior to fights.
Listening to the soundtrack in Manuelas room was an... interesting idea. And I´m actually really sad they scrapped the Reportcard thing. I would have been way more inclined to give people gifts if that was still a thing.
I can see a script for an early draft of the game where a playable Sothis would make sense. Basically when the time-skip normally happens, the player wakes up in the past as Sothis. Then the player plays a series of missions that ends with Sothis's death. It basically turns out that Byleth was basically reliving some of Sothis's memories, and then Byleth and Sothis have some dialog, after which the time skip proceeds with Byleth waking up. Furthermore the game may have only had a single route for the script early on, and the Sothis memory arc would be to build up what would be the final boss.
Seiros vs Nemesis is the stage onto which all of modern Fodlan is built Seiros and Nemesis hate each other more than any living organism has ever hated another Seiros and Nemesis never see one another in game Also Ladlegard has the Sword of Seiros but will never use it Thanks IS very cool
@@valarmis She will use the Sword of Seiros then. She’ll also use it in the unlikely scenario she has very poor hit rates with both Aymr and her battalion
23:00 The "King of ___" tag IIRC was shown in the E3 demo, where all the different gaming journalist types who got their hands on the game and put out footage could see the "King of Beasts" wolf enemy as a yellow Neutral enemy in an open field fight involving the monster and some bandits - basically a prototype of an optional skirmish mission. So it was most likely dropped pretty late in development.
It's kind of a shame that the soundtrack and monastery exam proctor features got cut specifically, just for the quality of life nature of them. Also, the sheet music being named after the four seasons is a nice nod to the game's Japanese title, Fuukasetsugetsu, which means "wind, flower, snow, moon" and references an ancient Japanese poem about the seasons (as well as a notion in Chinese about fleeting relationships and infatuation).
The most interesting cut content is of course, the 2nd half of crimson flower, where you finally fight the Agarthans and get some more insights into Edelgard's motivations and perspective for why she thinks this is the only way.
This. I was desperately trying to understand her as I was playing each route and when I finally played her route I was so mad and disappointed. I wanted to like her and see her side of things but even in her route they barely elaborate on her backstory and that made me kinda hate her. Now whenever I think of Edelgard, I can’t help but get mad at the wasted potential.
It's a bit weird to call it cut content IMO when there's nearly no evidence besides that one deployment slot suggesting that was intended to be a thing (also shouldn't AM be in the same boat as well?). By contrast, not only some stuff suggests CF was always meant to be short, but that SS was the route they actually considered giving an extra chapter before the idea was axed.
@@redlightning9000 I thought that Crimson Flower would make me like Edelgard, but it did the complete opposite. She is an amazing antagonist, but people who say she's somehow the good guy and did nothing wrong have no brain cells.
Man, I love this video, great job! I really wish Sothis, Rhea, and Jeralt would've been playable in NG+. Because if they have their own voice lines and skills, they would've been really cool and unique to use. And the character betrayal idea would've made each route have some kind of consequence or a more deeper meaning of the post-timeskip. I also wish there was a few more activities in the monastery, like taking care of a horse, doing more student activities than just having tea or eating lunch with them. The fact there was more activities such as going out of the monastery to actually hunt and explore is beyond any reason. I do not know why they removed those features and you can only do things INSIDE of the monastery. I love Three Houses, but this unused content really shows this game would've been bigger and probably better. Such a shame.
If the character betrayal was actually a thing, I wouldn't bother with those characters at all. What would be the point in using them if they just gonna leave you permanently some time later in the game?
@@drakeramsay3901 The idea would be that there might be requirements to rerecruit like with Felix (like choosing to not go to Enbarr despite what Dimitri says). Having more betrayals in general (especially among students outside of your house) just makes more sense character wise and it makes even recruit everyone playthroughs have more emotional impact.
If they wanted to make 3H 2 or just a game that presents closely to 3H they have a lot of neat unused ideas to work with. Formations sounds like it could've added a layer of complexity that 3H was missing
They could always make a definitive edition with all a good amount of cut content implemented to fit the way the story is currently, or maybe even add a couple more routes
Well some stuff is cut for a reason and I am glad a lot of the features were streamlined. On the other hand it is still sad to see interesting content or concepts left on the cutting room floor. I love theses kinds of vids. Very well done!
This just goes to show you that Three Houses was just to ambitious to have been properly finished. The way all this seems, it looks like there were ideas for other Routes, possible Branched Routes, and a Golden Route, which honestly makes me sad to see that this game had more to offer, but due to various factors, it was presented to us the way it was. Not that it was a bad thing, seeing how successful Three Houses was, but to think that there was more to be done with an already amazing game, does leave me a bit sad. Well, what can you do? Life goes on, and even after all this new information was presented to us, Fire Emblem Three Houses is still my favorite Fire Emblem game of all time.
Boy, does this give a remastered edition down the road PLENTY to work with! Of what was cut, I'd heard a lot of it before, but horse raising I had never known about and now I'm intrigued. I wonder how this would have changed Three Houses' mount system? Or perhaps it was just for fun, like how you can feed the strays around campus.
I whish they keep the game alive with updates or add a hug chunk of the cut content. In a acceptable manner, I don't want them making the game unplayable if you try and play the hardest difficulty And faerghast my boy well done with the video, can't wait for the next one
It would’ve been cool if there were a bit more betrayals, at least in early time skip battles, but only if you could then recruit them again. I was always a bit surprised that Lorenz didn’t betray on Golden Deer considering how he does in every other route. Would’ve been fine in my opinion since the bridge battle is pretty early, and you would’ve gotten him back at around the same time you get Dedue back.
I really wish the library could’ve been used as a records hall or something that can unlock new things like ancient combat skills whenever a character reaches S rank in weapons. The library in Abyss could’ve also shared insight on what kind of experiments were used on Lysethia, Eadlegard, Hapi, and god knows how many more people, in short I just wanna go on the second floor of the library.
Based on how Dimitri sounds in the quote against Felix, I suspect that there was a possible scenario where either his change of heart doesn't happen or it happens later than Blood of Eagle and Lion. Instead of Rodrigue sacrificing himself to save Dimitri, he's killed by Dimitri, causing Felix to understandably get pissed off and defect given that he killed his father. I could be completely off-base with that, but at the same time I could see that happening.
I think Felix and Annette were meant to defect if you chose the option to attack Edelgard over trying to save the Kingdom from Cornelia. The choice option doesn't have any effect in the game, but I think it was supposed to. Felix would've stayed behind to fight for his home, and would have been angry that Dimitri lead his father to his death at the battle of the eagle and Lion.
@@kiamosky4340 very fun, and extremely massive. id suggest looking up its "nemesis system", easily the coolest and most engaging thing in video games ive had the pleasure of playing around with
I know Sothis is voiced by Cassandra Lee Morris but when her unused battle voices popped up, she sounded exactly the same as Morgana, moreso than her in-game voice, even down to a lot of afflictions and tones in the voice. Took me by surprise there.
fe3h is my first (and so far only) fire emblem game and what convinced me to play was the tea parties and ability to build relationships with so many characters and also see them interact with each other!! that is still my favorite part of the game :) even when i've reached A support with my favorite characters I still like to take them on tea dates!! i loved the sauna DLC tho i wish it at least had some unique dialogue etc, and would've loved to do all those other group activities that were cut! I know the monastery is a bit controversial in the fandom and a lot of people don't like it but I think if they beefed it up a bit with more activities (like it seems they originally intended) it would've been even more fun :) at the very least i hope they can use this game as a jumping off point to add more unique activities to interact and get to know the characters even more! all the horse and hunting and fish caring stuff sounds sooo fun!!
You know, if they wanted to have the choice between routes matter in Crimson Flowers then they really needed to make either Rhea or Sothis playable. Instead even 2 years later I'm angry that the church route even exists, resulting in Crimson Flowers getting shafted into the shortest route despite having the most story to go through.
Ideas for the playable units: Jeralt should’ve and was supposed to be a Jagen, as playing on hard and etc, is pretty difficult without any Prepromotes. In NG+, there is that Sothis feature that gives you resistance and luck, so maybe instead, she could have been playable, rather than just a stat boost. Rhea could have been like an Athos-type character, in Silver snow, and maybe Verdant Wind? Basically one of those very late game characters, that are there in case your squad sucks, or just want to use an op unit.
Oh I don’t know if this is a common theory amongst fe3h fans, but the cut Jeralt dialogue fits well with the theory I have that he was originally planned to be a villain aligned with twsitd. In this case it woulda been a more begrudging alliance against Rhea, similar to what Edelgard has going on. The evidence, besides the whole ‘Rhea enabled the death of my wife and my child became strange by her actions’ thing includes: -Remire village, a city Byleth and Jeralt regularly visit, being the location of Agarthan human experimentation. -Jeralt’s mercenary group at game start was heading for work in Fhirdiad, where not 2 months later a revolt by the Western Church occurs in that region. -Supports with Leonie highlight that, during the time Jeralt spent in her village, Byleth was noticeably absent. On one hand, maybe it’s just classic Jeralt child endangerment, on the other, I’ll remind you that the year in which J was in Leonie’s town was the year Edelgard was forcibly given the Crest of Flames. And while I don’t know what all is needed to make someone gain a crest, evidence shows that the flesh and blood of the dragon with said crest is important.
In terms of Felix and Annette betraying the player in Azure Moon, my own theory is that the dialogue choice between choosing to attack Enbarr or liberate Ferdihad would ultimately determine what they do
I love how dimitri is like “come at me bruh” when Felix is confronting him about his dead father lol, that’s so hood. They really should’ve kept that in there
One other thing to mention, is also this alternate version of the part II gronder cutscene, that isn‘t in the game, but was (mistakenly?) shown in a voice actor interview
It makes me sad to see all of the stuff that was unused! It makes me think that each house was intended to have a route split, and not just the Black Eagles.
That part we know actually, according to dev interviews, BE was always the only path split planned. If there might have some smaller choices(alternate chapters) is another question
@@tirex3673 I know that's what they said, but I don't believe it. Considering the fact that they had paths where Felix/Annette were on the enemy side similarly to where Hubert and Edelgard were on different paths than Byleth in Silver Snow, it would make sense if there was another route split. They've never addressed or explained this cut content.
@@Flareboxx it might also just be, that they just wanted to have units, that fall in battle in part I, join the enemy in part II, that would also explain Edelgards line in SS
@@tirex3673 It still seems kinda strange. The Dimitri vs Felix-conversation specifically implies a diffrent chain of events. So either it comes from an earlier script or there really was another routesplit considered but never technically "planned".
Before watching this video, the only cut content I was aware of was students from your initial house leaving you. Mainly Annette, Felix and Lorenz. But now it surprised me more that Silver Snow claims sone Eagles’ students could leave the party.
To me this adds to my suspicion that TH was really rushed. The stories don’t mesh very well and the maps/some gameplay aspects feel half baked or scant.
Honestly all the Fe games missing content would make every game much better just looking down the list like in echoes having a playable berkut and i wish the amiboo were fully useable as they had unique classes. The other games unplayable units always get me wishing they were added like in fates where you can capture some
IMAGINE if mounts were a finite resource that you had to invest in, and as a result, mounted units were intrinsically limited in number, and inherently required more resource investment. This post was made by the Kaga Saga gang.
Horse raising makes me think it would be like the "Horses as equipment" system from Berwick Saga where horses would have stat bonuses, could be swapped around, and could even die. Very interesting stuff.
Been doing a Blue Lions playthrough, currently in Part I. I decided to mess around with different outfits for Dimitri and discovered that switching him to his "older" appearances depicts him with no eye patch. As far as I know, older Dimitri with no eye patch only otherwise appears during a cutscene in Silver Snow.
18:26 not to be that guy, but Dedue does make that face in the bottom left corner, when you speak to him in the monastery after chapter 11. I think it’s behind a dialogue option but it’s there nonetheless.
The Sothis Voice clips sound more on the Morgana side. I know the characters have the same V/A, but in terms of her vocals, it sounds like Morgana the most.
I think I'd prefer it if you had to fill out report cards through gameplay. It would make the students' backstories more accessible. And getting dialogue about lost items would be nice too.
It's interesting rewatching this video after Engage's release as a lot of the scrapped Monastery and similar features were included in some way within Engage and the Somniel.
I would imagine maybe they thought more students having to be recruited would unfairl during classic mode as you can be losing some units early on and developing byleth enough to get them to agree to joining may have been considered a little too much for the player to handle as they be left with too few usable units during the second half so after the made this decision they simply rewrote of the story to make it as if they were with you from the beginning considering that a lot of them don’t have speaking lines in the middle of the story it probably wasn’t hard to write them and do a few comments like they do during the moments of the group gathering.

Birthday parties are so intriguing. such a weird but cute concept, I wonder how it would’ve worked?
Probably a more elaborate version of tea time.
Would have been interesting to say be able to choose a gift and dialogue options and if you got them all right (a good gift and dialogue like tea time for example) then it would give you an automatic support rank up for them. Given that birthdays are only once it would have been useful as a one time thing you couldn't abuse
It could have been like dinner time but extended to more than 2 participants
It's pretty neat that for Sothis' battle lines where in a sense, reused/redone when she became a Mythical in FEH. I wonder if she would've have a unique class to herself.
She has a line in her status page saying "I cannot sleep here, I'll get kicked by a horse!", and I never understood that line because in the base game she never mentions horses whatsoever lol
The thumbnail kinda had me expecting to have an answer to that
Now that you mentioned it, have you notice that Byleth in FEH talks about “the flow of time” in his quotes?
It’s pretty sad when you remember 3H was rushed and a lot of these were more than likely planned for base game content
Three houses is one of those few games that I hope in years down the line gets a remastered definitive edition with most (but not all) cut content added in. Looking at things I feel like a lot of the cuts due to overambition/time crunch.
A definitive edition would be great with as much reused as possible, but voice lines.... That's something. Recruitable gatekeeper would be great.
The fact that certain characters were planned to betray you reminds me of how in Fates: Birthright, the plot would just suddenly kill Kaze if you didn't have a high enough support with him.
What was up with that anyway?

i was SO UPSET when that happened. i already planned who I wanted him to get a S rank with but for whatever reason i didnt rank up his supports with corrin enough...
More playable characters would have been great. Rhea for SS, Sothis because she's just awesome and should not have disappeared completely from the plot, and Jeralt having an integral part to the game other than just being killed off would have been wonderful.
Jeralt survived JUST long enough to fool me into believing he might escape the Fire Emblem protagonist parents trap
Should of had playable Judith for VW and playable Randolph, Latislava, and Fleche for CF especially since CF prevents you from getting good units like Catherine and Seteth.

I don't like the monastery because I don't like to run aimless errands and prefer the strategie part of the game kinda worries me that the game is slowly turning into persona or something like this
@@mansourhaddad398 ...is that bad?

I think Horse Raising would be a cool feature for a FE4 remake
it makes sense; after chapter 2 you're forced to flee; and I don't think the Pegesus knights can just magically fly their horses as well.
That would be super cool, and fit well with a Kaga styled entry to the series like that, because horse interactivity is a big part of other SRPGs he's made like FE5 and Berwick Saga. There's a lot of potential for an FE4 remake to add cool new stuff to do using the castle.
I think 3H is better than FE4

Honestly, this kinda makes me want an updated version of Three Houses. It certainly feels like some parts are the game are un-polished, so I wonder if many of these features were cut due to time or money issues instead of design philosophy.
What if they did something g like the persona series and made a Royal/Golden version of it?
Three houses crests
Hey man, it's fair to guess that these features were cut because there's be too much new stuff, but considering some things were at least worked on, it's possible they might come to future games.
I want chapter 16. But with house Frey from game of trone roasting all 4 faction for crossing the bridge.
It's helluva understated just how much unused stuff 3Hs has. It makes every other game in the series look puny by comparison.
That gives me hope for a possible future remake
As cool as the idea of horse raising sounds, I’m kinda glad that one was cut. It’d likely just be more busy work that slows down the in between days even more.
Yeah. I can understand that they had to cut alot of stuff out, else you'd never leave the monastery anymore. :D
As it is now, it's still on bordering on way too much to do, especially if you want to get the most out of it.
I’d like to see the concept return in a future game though, maybe in a game that doesn’t already have a ton of other stuff to do
They could have put it in as an Eventday once every two month or something.
I kinda see why it was removed, because among other things players might think they should relay on mounted units way more than others, making armies a bit samey, and it would make some question why you cannot raise other creatures such as wyverns.
sothis crits are actually interesting since it seems they reused some of them for heroes
Yeah, a lot of the Heroes special quotes are just the crit quotes.
Same with the Flame Emperor
Actually if I remember correctly, all of them became her special quotes in Heroes

Three houses screams for a definitive edition. The completion of Crimson Flower alone already needs it.
super agreed. I would pay big money for it
Fun fact: Seteth, Flayn, Catherine and Cyril have S support CG artworks for Crimson Flower indicating that they were going to join the Black Eagle Strike Force. Also, Hilda has a paired ending with Byleth in Crimson Flower, indicating that she was going to be recruitable too.
Omg they should’ve added it. I can see seteth agreeing w Edelgard but not helping a war
They may have done it that way not necessarily because they were planned to be recruitable, but just in case the devs changed their minds
Weird bc hilda loves choir
Probably would feel better of doing crimson flower if I can at least get Seteth and Flayn. 😔
They could have "activated" the betrayal stuff in NG+
So it's different and people have enough time to play around.
What if they make a “this will change the story drastically” prompt like in Crimson Flower?
From the dialogue datamine it seems to be a relic from the old recruitment system. You had to recruit your own students or they wouldn't be available in the story.
The part where youre supposed to fight against Felix and Anette, according to Lucky Crit, was the part where Dmitri insisted on going to Enbarr instead of Firdhiad. Supposedly, Anette and Felix strongly disagree that the Kingdom Army prioritize defeating Edelgard rather than reclaiming lost teritories from Cornelia. It was also at this point where Rodrigue was killed by Fleche.

I have a feeling that whatever it was they were supposed to do, they strongly suggest that they were for the Post Time Skip
That being said, however, I did really enjoy learning about the things here today, even if I had known about some of them already because there was more to it than I thought

Many people had also speculated that was for a Three Houses Warriors game, but that is doubtful unfortunately.
It was confirmed that was just an earlier build. Nothing significant.
@@EvyDevy where?
@@BowserGuerrero from my knowledge, the confirmation they speak of is just from the fandom itself. Looks like speculation was correct for a change. Lol

The dialogue from Hilda makes me think that the requirement for defection would have had something to do with low supports between the defectee and the rest of the house.
Furthermore the game may have only had a single route for the script early on, and the Sothis memory arc would be to build up what would be the final boss.
my saddest takeaway from this video is that judith was never meant to be playable
Same!!! Were all the images/videos just fan made...?

In a acceptable manner, I don't want them making the game unplayable if you try and play the hardest difficulty
And faerghast my boy well done with the video, can't wait for the next one
It would’ve been cool if there were a bit more betrayals, at least in early time skip battles, but only if you could then recruit them again. I was always a bit surprised that Lorenz didn’t betray on Golden Deer considering how he does in every other route. Would’ve been fine in my opinion since the bridge battle is pretty early, and you would’ve gotten him back at around the same time you get Dedue back.
You can really hear the morgona in Sothis's battle quotes lol

I know the monastery is a bit controversial in the fandom and a lot of people don't like it but I think if they beefed it up a bit with more activities (like it seems they originally intended) it would've been even more fun :) at the very least i hope they can use this game as a jumping off point to add more unique activities to interact and get to know the characters even more! all the horse and hunting and fish caring stuff sounds sooo fun!!
now that 3 hopes is out, we know that Cleobulus is Cornelia
You know, if they wanted to have the choice between routes matter in Crimson Flowers then they really needed to make either Rhea or Sothis playable.
Instead even 2 years later I'm angry that the church route even exists, resulting in Crimson Flowers getting shafted into the shortest route despite having the most story to go through.
Ideas for the playable units:
Jeralt should’ve and was supposed to be a Jagen, as playing on hard and etc, is pretty difficult without any Prepromotes.
3:00 kinda crazy just how many unused idea's made it into three hopes.
Also 9:30
Oh I don’t know if this is a common theory amongst fe3h fans, but the cut Jeralt dialogue fits well with the theory I have that he was originally planned to be a villain aligned with twsitd. In this case it woulda been a more begrudging alliance against Rhea, similar to what Edelgard has going on.
The evidence, besides the whole ‘Rhea enabled the death of my wife and my child became strange by her actions’ thing includes:
-Remire village, a city Byleth and Jeralt regularly visit, being the location of Agarthan human experimentation.
In terms of Felix and Annette betraying the player in Azure Moon, my own theory is that the dialogue choice between choosing to attack Enbarr or liberate Ferdihad would ultimately determine what they do
Actually exploring other places in the story would’ve been so refreshing. Especially on the 9th playthrough lol
I love how dimitri is like “come at me bruh” when Felix is confronting him about his dead father lol, that’s so hood. They really should’ve kept that in there
Sothis should have been a New Game + exclusive
I really enjoy videos like this, I have the same love of hearing about what’s left out of games or things they wanted in the game
22:05 damn. I had a 3H OC that basically had that kind of crest and I named it Crest of Zoltan.
Oh god I'm so stupid, I just realized Sothis is Morgana from Persona 5
Oh, wow, how'd you manage to avoid all the memes up to this point?
Just the yawning and sleeping stuff gave it away for me. Like god dammit they pulled a bleach and made the cat turn into a girl lol
0:07 this looks like a close match
Before watching this video, the only cut content I was aware of was students from your initial house leaving you. Mainly Annette, Felix and Lorenz. But now it surprised me more that Silver Snow claims sone Eagles’ students could leave the party.
Congratulations for reaching a new millestone!
This was a really well made video!
Damn... The things we missed... I can only imagine a universe in which developers can do whatever they wish at a snap of a finger.
Crying for Judith, so wish she would have been playable, great video as always!
The most interesting part for me was the unused voice lines. Great video, Ghast!
Not me feeling nostalgic for a game that came out only 2 ish years ago
This game could have been pretty legendary if it hadn’t been rushed huh? :/
It’s still pretty legendary! I don’t see anything here that would have elevated it much, either.
@@johnjekyllson28 It did win strategy game of the year via a fan vote
@@johnathanedwards9054 yea,,and player game if the year vis fan vote as well
I think I'd prefer it if you had to fill out report cards through gameplay.
It's crazy how many of these things are in three hopes
I haven't watched the video in full yet, but just reading the title I said out loud
"INSTEAD WE GOT LOST ITEMS!
