If I remember correctly, the renown glitch happens because the game has some sort of binary code that only goes up to 65,535, meaning the overflow occurs at 65,536, so if you were going to spend more then that number, the glitch triggers.
The number of renown you end up spending isn't random. The lowest amount you can select to spend is 65,600, from buying 82 Silver Sword, Lance, or Bow+'s at 800 renown each, if you've bought every possible bonus from the Influencer. You take whatever number you were supposed to spend, subtract 65,536, where it overflows, and that will give you the actual renown amount you end up spending, which in this case is 64.
Obviously you'll end up with different amounts of renown that are required to perform the glitch/actually triggering it, as the prices for various items/weapons are different. Killer Knuckles+'s for instance cost 1,000 renown each, meaning the minimum number of renown you can spend to perform the glitch is 66,000, for 66 pairs of them. 66,000-65,536=464, which is how much renown you'll end up spending for that weapon bundle in particular.

This entire time I thought Constance had the most haunting death scream of the English cast and it wasn't even her English VA.

She has a good amount of practice and samples beforehand. Got a shiver when I first heard that scream.
I mean damn do the Japanese scream. Here I thought I preferred English dubbing of this game. Still kinda do
that oversight is probably one of the better mistakes, I much prefer their JPN death cries of the 'unused' English ones. it fits with both dubs much better, but that's just me.

The 3 in 3 houses title actually represents the amount of damage you need to deal to hegemon husk Edelgard to have her chair kill her, FEH is missing the 3 though…

Admittedly I uninstalled FEH a while back, but I recall that Brave Ike can get that by stacking his effect-upgraded weapon with the right skill.
Or does Fallen Edelgard prevent Brave Ike delaying his own attack?

I'll imagine magic units with the levin sword or bolt axe would be stupid op especially using combat arts.
Hapi and Annette would be the best physical units out of all the mages.
Since they have a 30 strength growth lol. Lyn would also be a decent option. Btw, Edelgard is underrated AF as a mage.
She has a 45 magic growth and has fire, bolganne, Luna, hades, and seraphim as attack spells. And she has recover so she can heal pretty well too lol.
It is kinda a waste to have her as a B tier mage when she is debatably the best physical unit in the game lol.
Fun story about Constance's death scream, my older brother-in-law was watching me play fe3h and asking questions, and once he said "this game seems pretty fun," Constance got hit with a random crit and let out that death scream. It scared us both to silence as we stared at the screen.

I can't lie, the Japanese death screams for the Ashen Wolves are better in every way. Plus, they sound close enough to the English VA's so much so in this case that I wouldn't have known unless I was told

For the infinite month glitch, one thing I've noticed is that if you successfully move the cursor beyond the mission date and the information on the left of the screen disappears, it'll loop fine, but if the info box stays there, you'll end up passing through the month as the developers intended.

Has anybody seen or experienced the "Viskam" sword glitch? I bought a sword from an online visiting unit titled "Viskam". It was 1g, has infinite uses, 20 Mt, 100 hit, 1-9 range, 5 Wt and is an E rank weapon. It has the same animation as swords when using the Chalice and is pretty game breaking. I have seen visitors sell it on three different occasions.
Edit: I also noticed that the item description says "Leather Shield" so its pretty clear its a glitch or exploit of some sort.
I love getting Viskams in my playthroughs. They break the game easily and they're great because they have no usage limit
I believe this isn't a "glitch" like the others. You can hack the game and give a viskam to others via online liaison I think. So not quite a glitch that can happen naturally
Yeah, it's kinda like how hackers just made every skill accessable to every char in fates. Just people changing the contentbalancing of the game.

I think that even if the Viskam is a tower in the game it's actually coded to attack with a 9 range magical sword, this is why hackers can extract that data and put the sword on other characters. I believe that the normal viskam is also affected by sword breaker.
Constance's English sunlight death scream sounds like she's like ahhh I'm dying and then half way through she's like actually I'm ok with this
i doubt it even is a death scream, i think i was actually the scream you get when she dies with animations off.

honestly i'd say even balthus, Yuri & hapi's sound just like the english VAs, like SPOT ON & constance's are so well acted they knew they HAD to keep it in.

10:22 The overflow is for a 16-Bit unsigned integer, which maxes out at 65535 (2^16 - 1)
The Fallen Star “bug” isn’t really a bug, but poor/confusing design, just like you said. The status “Fallen Star” lasts until the end of the enemy’s turn, but the effect of that status is to dodge everything in the first combat
This is backed up by the skill of the same name in Fire Emblem Heroes doing the same thing: The status “Fallen Star” stays even after its effect has been used
Fallen Star only triggers if you were going to get hit by an attack. If you dodge and it doesn't appear, that means you would've dodged the attack regardless of if you used the combat art or not. Obviously you'll see it if the enemy has 100% hit, but otherwise, it's a nice back-up in case there was an attack you wanted to dodge and had no other options.

If you kill all the enemies before opening the door with Thales, the music completely cuts out. Other sound effects play normally but there’s no music until you fight Thales

Forever ago, I saved in the prep screen for Dimitri's paralogue as I left to go to work. Came back and my save file had been corrupted.
I finally have an answer as to what happened lol.
lol, I have a folder of glitches I encountered pre-Ashen Wolves, but most were just cosmetic.
This was the most annoying glitch I encountered accidentally, though I'm glad I haven't heard of anyone else encountering this:
Once in Linhardt and Leonie's paralogue, with animations turned on, a Warrior attacked my Bishop Sylvain and missed. when it was Sylvain's turn to counter attack, he did the animation and summoning circle for fire, but no fire effect was shown and the attack never landed. The game just kinda sat there for a few extra seconds, with Sylvain and the Warrior having a staring contest while I could still move the camera around. finally Sylavin decided to trick the Warrior into blinking by preforming his scheduled second fire attack. the first attack was never calculated despite Sylvain's hit being 100.
I have the vaguest memory of something similar happening to me once but I can't remember the exact circumstances.
Sylvain and the warrior were both confused by this outcome. That’s hilarious.

I have heard the HP overflow bug can also happen to the Immaculate One, though don't quote me on that one (and I've yet to see footage of that myself).
I'm guessing it's true because she also has 199 HP on her final HP Bar, and Divine Dragon Horn will restore 100% of her health at the start of each Enemy Phase if there are any White Beasts 10 or less spaces away from her. There are several at the start of the battle.
Edit: NOPE, doesn't work AT ALL.
@@AkameGaKillfan777If we're looking at the overflow killing at 257, exactly, then you'd need to lower her down to 58 hp.
Either 57 or 58 would theoretically work... provided she's actually gaining +199 when getting healed.
This would be significantly less useful, and I have no clue if that exact value is even the exact reason why Edel dies or not.

Could you imagine being a character on the battlefield, and in the distance, you can't see what's happening, then you just hear Constance's dying scream? That would be absolutely horrifying.

There is one glitch I didn't see in this video. It's another Demonic Beast Death Animation(or lack of it.) I don't know how it works, but sometimes when I beat Demonic Beasts, they'll either just flinch or have no reaction like you just took away one of their previous life meters if you have battle animations turned on, but after the battle, they'll be lying on the ground defeated before disappearing as usual.
Also I'm guessing the HP overflow glitch only occurs at specifically 196 HP? Because I've tried it before and it didn't work, and people were saying it was patched out, so I just gave up. Edit: It does not work, PERIOD.
As for the Calendar glitch, the left side of the screen needs to display the events of the day after the main mission in order to work. If there isn't one, the event list shouldn't appear, so only confirm if the main mission's description is NOT on the left side of the screen. Also the glitch will not work if you try using it on the last free day before the main mission, wether or not you actually get the cursor to the right spot.
I'm not suprised that a game co-developed by the same studio that gave us the Max Rupee Glitch on the Wii U version of Hyrule Warriors has several glitches of its own. Like you, I started this game with Blue Lions, and I even still have my very first save file that I started on launch day, but I managed to avoid corrupring my save because I didn't need to restart. If I remember correctly, your save data would only get corrupted if you loaded from the auto-save, and I've always used the manual ones.
The infinite month glitch is super helpful if you want to buy ranks for NG+ playthroughs
Infinite Month glitch tips.
1. You must start the skip on a day that is prior to at least one week of teaching. From my testing this but does not work unless Byleth teaches at some point during the skip. I think it has to do with the skill experience screen happening at the end of a day and thus after the ability to start a mission.
2. The glitch can be pulled of with a Pro Controller D-pad which might not be amazing but I feel it’s more consistent to replicate the bug this way.
3. A good indicator of whether or not the glitch has been triggered is the day details card on the left side of the screen. Sometimes when preforming the glitch your cursor will move to the next day but the details card will not have changed. If you skip to date you will still skip to the mission if this card does not change.
4. Provided that you follow the first and third tip, it is possible to do this with any skip-able date. The only benefit you really gain is if you do it at the end of the month.
5. !Still testing this one! You don’t have to go to the right of the skipped date if you don’t want to. You can go in any direction but you will only achieve results if the date is beyond the date you’re skipping to. It’s a bit funky and doesn’t quite work if you skip to a undated day but still interesting I think.
There's also a weird glitch regarding hitboxes and the wind/cutting gale spell when animations are turned on. I saw this about a year ago on reddit (didn't happen to me, but it did happen to that redditor) so I can't exactly remember who found this.
Basically, a Dark Flier performing a critical hit with those spells can have their attack animation glitch out, failing to collide with the enemy's hitbox (I believe the enemy was the turtle). Due to the attack animation not connecting, no damage is dealt, even though the attack would have be a critical hit (which we know always hit due to the battle formula). The game fortunately doesn't crash, rather it seems to run an internal timer and proceed with the rest of the battle animation even if the glitch happens.
This can be fixed turning animations off.
There was a bug with Rescue in an early release version of the game, where under specific circumstances, it would cause the rescued unit to be warped to the top left tile of the map. I don't know what those circumstances are, unfortunately, and I'm fairly certain that bug got patched out.

And even if it did work with rescue, there’s no way it happened 12 times.

So Mekkah told me about the Calender repeat glitch and (possibly) FED showed the Pagan Alter glitch. I did hear something about the Ashen Wolves death scream and something familiar with the Grondor Hilda clone but never saw it visually. The rest I didn’t know of
Although while I can’t explain it, my Falcon Knight Ingrid criticalled a Wunged Demonic Beast with the 2 stab spins and the last being the backflip (not the one Ghast shows)
This is an older video but there was another glitch in the VW version of the gronder battle that later got patched out. If you had ingrid or sylvain recruited and deployed and then activated the kingdom army’s reinforcements, sylvain and ingrid would say their dialogue as if they were unrecruited.
Glad I learned about that Dancer EXP cap thing on turn 10 before I actually got one in the game because...I have a lot of time on my hand and definitely got Azura to lvl 20 before the main story of Fates
I don't know which category this falls into, but i haven't seen anyone else mention this before
Javelins and Short Spears seemingly have their models swapped, and it's been that way since release. The models look identical to how they were in Awakening, but the model used for the Javelin in that game now falls under the name Short Spear, and vice versa. I doubt that this was intentional, but if it was, Awakening was the game with the mistake
It was probably intentional as Awakening was the only game with the Javelin having that design.
Crests for "Offensive Spells" work on warp/ward/rescue/restore :)
This game is such a mess but I still love it.
I hope the amount of content (used and unusead) in 3H remains as the standard going on

Edelgard's throne on maddening difficulty: I don't get paid enough to heal this.
I'm not sure if this counts, nor if it's well known, but if you're playing the mission with Solon as the boss and fight him until he runs out of spells, he will stand upright with his cane just awkwardly placed in his hand.
I have a video of it saved on my Switch, so I can upload that if anyone is interested.

I came across a few more before I took a break from the game last fall. Someone already mentioned the music on the Shambala map cutting out simply from beating all the enemies, but in one of my BL playthroughs, Rodrigue's cape at specific distances randomly moves to the side of his body for no reason.
Also if you stand next to the entrance of the Black Eagle Classroom and turn the camera just right after zooming in, part of the monastery unloads. Same as if you go to the opposite end.
I knew 3H was rough around the edges but DAMN I could never foresee the game being this rough.
On my my last Asure Moon playthrough, Dimitri didnt crit, even though he had a 100% critrate. Did that happen to anyone else too? It happened twice, each on different maps. And in one instance the enemy did crit him, with just a 1% critrate...
So the way the game calculates crit is by rolling a number between 1 and 100. Of your crit chance is greater than the number it rolls, you crit. 100 is not greater than 100, so no crit. I think you may have just gotten unlucky

Also I thought that only worked with HIT not crit, a 76% chance to hit is pretty much 100 but a 76% chance to crit is still 76

I actually ended up getting a weird version of that save file bug on Dimitri's paralogue in my first BL playthrough. Instead of breaking my entire save file, the entire game itself got corrupted. I reinstalled the game and everything was fine, even my save file, but it was so weird.
FE3H in a nutshell. Everything available and not available whether we like it or not.
This game is held together with thumbtacks, duct tape, and a prayer.
I was trying to figure out something with Auto-Battle in Engage and my weird googling pulled this up of all things. I was wondering why Auto-Battle uses Dancers so weird. I think it's a legacy of the weird Dancer stuff with Auto-Battle in Three Houses.

I mean it's technically possible for the money/renowned glitch to be used on a NG file it just requires you to be able to get that much renowned. Which is technically possible if you can get enough money to get to the minimum amount.
You can do the Calendar glitch during the month before Chapter 7 to keep doing Auxiliary battles, and getting gold from them and Church funds to by more Storehouse items to sell at the Pagan Altar.

Something that I didn’t see in the video. I have no idea if this was patched out and/or is only Azure Moon Ch. 17 Edelgard, but Raging Storm doesn’t need to hit to activate the added action, unlike what the description says.
I'm not entirely sure, bit i think it's a wrong translation, because for me it always works.
I ran into the "Edelgard sets the mountain on fire twice" bug on my Azure Moon playthrough, although I didn't recruit Petra. I did recruit Bernie and Dorothea, though I don't remember who killed the enemy to trigger the bug

I have a great way of dealing with F!Edel:
Smack her with a dazzling staff to break her DR, and then use an AoE special (I use Legendary Lilina, but Blazing Wind on basically anyone with decent attack also works)
Actually, I find it interesting that, by making Ideal Skills, IS has made AoE specials more viable
I just found a hacked weapon called viskam on sale for 1gold and its decription says leather shield im on maddening so this will help ALOT especially on a weakness run my team

I recruited everybody for my crimson flower route. During my battle of eagle and lions there was two ingrids on the map

With all of these glitches plus some that aren't even mentioned like how NPCs at the monastery sometimes get stuck while walking, it feels like the game was a bit rushed and probably needed some more time to be more optimized for the Switch. It's quite jarring that they have only released ONE patch for all these issues.
There was also a weird oddity, in the base game before the update during the movie cutscene where you first explore the monastery it was possible to hear the male gasp regardless if you picked female or not. Now this has been patched out and there's silence for if you pick female
I honestly didn't knew that Yuri and Balthus death screams were from the Japanese actors. Both languages almost sounded too identical to each others.
I have a glitch where the DLC characters won’t let me unlock class masteries in NG+. I can unlock weapon levels and support levels on those units but class mastery displays as if they have nothing to unlock. And it’s DLC characters only.
I was under the impression that the Hegemon Edelgard glitch was patched out?
I just tried it again, and it is.

while using the zoom view if you push the stick reallyyyyyyy slighly the walking animation won't play but the character will move as if they were levitating, kinda weird cause if the unit has a battalion those units do get a slow walking animation

Not really a glitch but raging storm's english description is wrong. You do not actually need to land the hit for you to get the extra turn.

O I didnt know the dancers stopped getting experience after turn 10 normally. That really sucks lol
I somehow made a glitch happened during one of my files. In one of the earlier months of 3H, I somehow made my game not show the end monastery exploration button during an exploration. I could not leave the monastery at all. I had to start my game all over again.
I was hoping to see a mention of the repeated critical cut-in animation. I encountered it a couple times and wondered how it worked. For me it was with Ingrid as a great knight using a ranged lance. It was pretty funny.
That explains Constance's death scream not making sense to me. It was a whole other person
