    Why don't you have patreon?

    • @MortenHilmer
      @MortenHilmer  6 лет назад +151

Hi Tibor and thanks for writing:) I think Patreon is absolutely awesome and it is a fantastic way for making it possible for artists and creators to do what they love the most. Before I started making RUclips videos about 7 months ago I was making my living solely from wildlife photography and I still do that. I am just making the videos because I want to share my adventures and through my experiences hopefully inspire other people to come out more and enjoy the amazing moments nature provides. I believe Patroen is for these creators that are sharing passion, knowledge and inspiration and can't afford to do it without support - these guys need it more than I do. Maybe I will need it myself one day in the future 😀

I was thinking about a way to support such creators like you. You motivate me with every video you post. Keep up the good work.

That is so kind of you Tibor - the comment you just made supports me more than you might think. Thanks a lot👍👍

Your videos give me a huge inspiration as well as in life and photography. I tried to make some "wildlife photos" after seeing some of your vlogs. (It is actually not that wild, I just tried to capture some birds in our backyard.) 500px.com/photo/257230101/img-by-tibor-toth
I'm still a beginner, just learning the basics and trying out all the stuff I have, but I would be interested in your opinion on this photo.

Tibor you might consider going to Morten's web site and purchasing his book. It is a beautiful piece of art and it is a way to support him in a small way. Very nice image of the bird by the way!

    "It's about collecting experiences"
Exactly why I've subscribed. This isn't the typical 'go out and shoot' channel. This really is about photos, and, that experience you share with all of us.
I so look forward to these installments. Thank you once again Morten for sharing all of this.

    • @MortenHilmer

This is one of these comments that makes it worth sitting inside in front of a computer, editing this video the whole day, when it is nice and sunny outside - thank you a thousand times John 😀

John Skinner agree John, being out in nature is firstly what it's all about, getting photos is good but not the be all and and all.

Morten Hilmer your joy about what you are doing is contagious. You are absolutely right - it is all about winding down, relaxing and experiencing nature. Your honesty for when things go wrong but also your modesty while sharing such great, entertaining and well produced adventures with us is incredible. You are basically living my childhood dream and I will stay with you in it in success and failure, thank you for that!

Gosh I think your videos are brilliant. I totally agree that wildlife photography isn’t always about taking photos, sometimes I see things in my scope I can’t possibly photograph as it’s too far away but I’ve seen nature. I've two questions please. 1) Can whiteouts be painful for your eyes and thus headaches? and 2) Did you get your love of all things nature whilst you were serving in Greenland, or is it something you’ve carried on since your childhood? Your joy at seeing any nature is fantastic to see, and is wonderfully inspiring as are your philosophies about being out in nature. Great images and thank you for these amazing videos.

I find being out in Nature acts as a kind of therapy, if you spend all day inside such as the office or similar then being out in the wild is "Awesome" relaxing, nothing like it. Having a camera at hand is a bonus but nothing beats being outdoors! - Fantastic video Morten, thank you for sharing!

I think we think of nature the same way. But hey not too many years ago we all lived in nature and depended 100% on it. It is only the last few hundred years we have disconnected so fast:) But our minds still know the beauty of nature:)

Being 56 years of age i have had an incredible adventures life of mountain climbing, scuba diving, skydiving, flying aircraft and helicopters having a pilot's license, so my bucketlist is small.
Now still sportive, photographing and following you, i wish i was 20 years younger, but no bucketlist will allow that 😂..... you are an incredible likable and charming storyteller. 👏👊

    Hi Morten
I recently subscribed to your channel and even though I have not seen all the vlogs I find this one the best so far from those that I have watched. I appreciate the fact that you are not there to get the perfect shot, in fact there can never be the perfect shot. There can only be the best moment of capture, and in this moment it is only you who can appreciate the effort, the time, the place, and most of all the essence of the experience. And when I saw you in the cold windy conditions and saying "awesome", we could only capture a glimpse of this moment you were experiencing. As a nature photographer I can gleen some idea of what it was like for you and it made me cry to know you were captured in the joy of it all. I have to confess I have watched the vlog at least 12 times and tire of watching it. I have no questions at this time, but will in the future no doubt. I thankyou and the animals for sharing the moments with us.
