Hi Samantha lovely to see you back and looking lovely. That bright blouse suits you - the colours are gorgeous. No make 9 for me. I love your ideas those. Looking forward to seeing how the wrap dress goes xxxx
Hi Shelley, you are such a sweetheart, thank you. I wondered if the paisley was a little much for January but it is so grey here, that a little colour is much needed! Will keep you updated on the wrap dress, I have bought a gorgeous navy cotton so might bump it up the list! Are you working on anything at the moment? Sending love xxxx
I am not familiar with make 9, but I’m transitioning my clothing into only things that I have made (no store bought) so this one will be simple for me to finish and then some. I’m retired so I have the time and I’ve been sewing for over 50 years. I thoroughly enjoy your videos and thank you for posting. You are appreciated.
Thank you so very much for such a kind message, I am very grateful for your lovely words. No store bought is a fun challenge! I try to only wear handmade too, I much prefer it! What are you working on at the moment? Wow - sewing for over 50 years, I am sure you are such an incredible fount of knowledge. I often wish we were all so much closer and could do coffee and sewing afternoons!
I think it is so important to wear clothes we feel good in - that said, I also think we are our own worst critics. I, too, am largest around the bust, waist and tummy, with a peachy bottom too but am just going to go for it. I have seen lots of women look fantastic in Zadies. I will make one and report back to you on the fit! Sending love and kindness xoxo
I'm not sure what you are looking for in a shirt pattern, but here are a few that I've downloaded because they have interesting details or style lines (and I am also a plus size sewist): Forest and thread- MVP BD Shirt; Mila Onni Patterns - Esme Ruffled Blouse ; Named Clothing Stella Raglan Shirt ; Style Arc - Francesca Woven Shirt, Kenny Woven Shirt , Nicola Woven Shirt; Tessuti Fabrics - Helga Shirt; Viki Sews - Asilia Blouse, Liza Blouse; By Hand London Marie Shirt.
Fantastic shirt patterns! Thank you so much for taking the time to reply, I really appreciate it. I’ve been in a real shirt rut and love all of these ideas. How is the Forest and Thread patterns? I’ve seen a few and think they look great but haven’t used this company before! 😘😘❤️
@@SewinginSwitzerland I haven't had a chance yet to try the Forest and Thread patterns yet, even though I have 3 of them, but they are on my list to make soon. But the samples and styles look so practical and well made, that I think they have to be good to make up.
I like The Patina Blouse by Friday Pattern Company.
It has excellent instructions.
That is a really great one - I love the collar on it! If you like that one, you might like the Nina Lee Bakerloo blouse too!

I’ve never made the ‘Zadie’ as I worry that it’s not going to look good on me. I have a large bust, waist and tummy.
