    They need to play at a grand slam final… or just a grand slam in general; haven’t seen this matchup best of 5 since USO2022 QF.
    I think if they play on clay, Alcaraz should have the upper hand because the slower conditions will make it harder for Sinner to hit through him, similar to Indian Wells last year. I think at either hard court slam, Sinner gets a slight edge because both courts play relatively fast. Grass is anyone’s guess, but I lean Alcaraz just because he’s a bit more proven on grass and I think his variety would do a lot to help him.

    seems like Alcaraz brings out the best in Sinner
    maybe it's because Alcaraz is younger and Sinner didn't like that Alcaraz is already overtaking him in achievements when he was the "next big thing" first
    Sinner almost always plays his best against Alcaraz

    • @paolozamparutti1972
      @paolozamparutti1972 10 месяцев назад +5

      This is about adapting to different playing styles in tennis. Sinner prefers to play against players whom he can dominate on the backhand crosscourt, but struggles against players who take the initiative away from him on that same diagonal. That's why he had more difficulty against Medvedev and Djokovic. Now, he has found the key to at least match up against those two by introducing variations in his backhand and, above all, by improving physically. Now, he positions himself better to hit the ball, allowing him to play the backhand down the line more frequently even in high-speed rallies.

    Alcaraz is an actor and a playchild. Don't think he can hold a high level over years.
    He has no length in his shots. Keeps moving himself into difficult situations (on purpose?) and often finds spectacular ways out of them - if his opponent plays along instead of ending the point precisely. This can't be the base for enduring success. And for my taste, I'd rather watch a real fight than a "show".
