    does cropping and resizing your plans and section to fit into the little boxes ruin your scale?

    • @TheArchitecturalInsider
      @TheArchitecturalInsider  5 лет назад

      That is a good question, if your photoshop file is to scale it should not ruin the scale, I normally make my boxes and then check the size of the box and the do the plans to scale in the box so I don't waste designing something that won't show. If you need anything else let me know :)

    This is such a funny video! What you demonstrated was so simple and easy compared to the level of complexity of the diagrams you imported and placed on the poster!!!! Step one, CAD, step two photoshop, step three Indesign. Incase you guys are overwhelmed by the professional finish of this poster, realise this took hours and hours and hours and days to produce the content he included in the poster! The final poster is reflective of the diagrams and not of the presentation imo! Though both are important. Thanks for the video!

    do you think drawing the layout is better or on pc ?

    • @TheArchitecturalInsider
      @TheArchitecturalInsider  5 лет назад +2

      Well, a quick sketch on paper won't hurt and its easier to change rather than changing it on pc.

    That's why I still don't get the differences between the Adobe programs... I mean, what I understand from InDesign is that it's the best program to make big projects like books, magazines, portfolios, etc. So basically I could make this architecture presentation on Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign, right? Or I am wrong?

      I get what you mean, imagine this... You just made your presentation board on photoshop and its huge files, every time you move something you have to make sure all layers are selected which might take you a while, say you imported jpegs on the photoshop poster layout but you want to change it and have to re-export it into to poster. When you showed you lecturer and he/she said to do this and change that you will have to edit on top of the image you have on the photoshop layout. Just imagine exporting the huge 200+ MG file to pdf or something it will take ages. What if you want to rearrange the poster it will be very time-consuming. Using InDesign removes all the annoying things. Moving stuff around is easy, you can crop and crop and crop all you want and you will have the original quality, it is very fast, you can have multiple page sizes, etc. I hope this made sense :) Thank you for commenting :)

    • @TheArchitecturalInsider
      @TheArchitecturalInsider  4 года назад +1

      All you need to do is litterly drag and drop the file into indesign. I hope that helps let me know if it doesn't work :)
