My Beautiful Siberian Husky Kitana had 10 puppies on the 1st & 2nd of July 2016, She did an amazing with her labour & delivery and I thought I would vlog her experience.
NOTE : She is going to be desexed in the next couple of months so there will not be anymore puppies and we plan on keeping atleast 1 or 2 puppies which will be desexed as well.

My dog is like that with my daughter, she enjoys my son, but her and my daughter have a special bond.. she's the first person she wants to kiss all the time.

So beautiful. I remember when my Dog (She passed away back in 2007. Due to eternal bleeding. She was a beautiful girl, age 9. Dalmatian.) gave birth to her babies. 8 beautiful babies. They all went to have amazing lives, and we kept the runt of the litter, who we sadly had to put down in 2014. Poor things hind legs were giving out on her, but she was old, and suffering. She was about 14 years old. Beautiful, and I loved her very much. Congrats on 10 amazing babies.

It's amazing how most mammals look the same as they are getting ready to have their babies....uncomfortable. It's this feeling of I can't sit still, I can't stand up, I feel like running, but I also want to sleep...nothing feels right. Amazing.
I can't imagine how much pain she would of gone through to give birth to 10 puppies, Giving birth to 1 was hard enough for me but she is amazing giving birth to 10.
1 thing I can say when she was with her puppies I have never seen her more happy, I feel like she was meant to be a mother, such a sweet, caring dog, always putting the puppies first, sharing everything with them, we kept 2 of the puppies and she is a different dog now so much happier
I have 3 dogs...all female...1 lab/pit mix and 2 mini schnauzers. I always struggled with the decision to get them fixed. My oldest dog lab/pit...it was a law to get her fixed within 6 months of adopting her. The minis...I allowed them to go through 2 heats before I had them fixed. I seriously considered allowing 1 litter, but the decision was made not to because I wasn't sure I'd be able to adopt the puppies out to responsible people. I felt that if I couldn't find responsible folks, then I'd have to take care of them myself, and because I travel from country to country, that wasn't possible. I still wonder if having a litter would have changed them. I'm glad you put this online. Thank you for sharing your experience.
L MG We are getting Kitana and Dash (the father of the puppies) desex/fixed in the next couple of weeks, the hardest part was finding the right person to adopt each puppy. I was very lucky to find amazing people to adopt each puppy but with that being said we kept 2 puppies out of the litter, the the rest went to loving homes (and 1 of the puppies did pass away within 24 hours birth). The reason we kept 2 puppies because we were only going to allow her to have 1 litter. But when it was time to find loving homes from the puppies I have over 50 people interested in the puppies I turned down alot of people who were only interesting in a puppy for blue eyes/ looks, I made sure the parents came in to meet the people to see how they interact with them (I had some people who were scared of the parents which I didn't understand why as the puppies would get that big) also I turned down everyone interstate unless I met them which one person came interstate to get a puppy from me and we keep in contact with them and all the other puppies too, get updates/ photos all the time.
I'm glad u were selective with the adoptive parents. I feel I would have turned a lot of people down too. Having puppies is almost like having children (I have 4 of those). Sleepless nights, busy days. Needing to find someone who would be willing to watch them and let them outside during the day if you aren't available. Dogsitters when you need to leave town. It's not easy, and I feel many people want a puppy because they are cute and cuddly. Then they start peeing on the rugs and chewing up expensive shoes and people don't want to put in the money/time/energy to properly train them. Vet expenses, or emergency vet expenses are extremely costly. Monthly upkeep of heart worm medicine/deworming (all dependent on your country rules), can add up. Like I said, you were right to turn down people. Eye color is not the main question that needs to be asked before adopting a pet. How did the birth affect..Dash (do I have that right?)?
L MG You are right having puppies is like having children and find the right home with a loving family, it not easy and when its time for them to go to their new homes its the hardest day saying goodbye
she's so calm! it seems to be going so well and it's nice to see a video where the owners let the mother bound with her pups. when my Lab had her babies it was so scary, she had 13 !!! pretty impressive to watch

Aww it’s such a miracle how moms know what to do whether it’s a human or an animal giving birth. How the puppies naturally know to start nursing from mama. Your family really truly is committed to those dogs and you treat them like they are part of the family....it’s so sweet. I wish all dog owners learned a thing or two from you guys cause dogs are very precious!! Great job :)
That was so nice of you to stay up until 5 in the morning to keep an eye on the dog good luck to all of the puppies and the mum so cute
she had her last puppy at 7am and I stayed away that whole day and went to bed at night the next day I was up for about 40 hours before I went to sleep and my fiance watched the next night

I currently am waiting. We are now on day 51. Vet has said between 9 and 11 puppies from my dane x arab. Couldnt see by count on the ultrasound as they kept moving. I myself counted 10 babies.
Nala is a first time mum and she fell in her second season. Our boy got to her really early and got free from his enclosure. Cheeky thing. Nala will have her 7 humans watching over her. Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly.

I love this family. It is full of love. The dog understand that and trust her humans. Only with the proper love and care, can animals successfully breed healthy little ones. Lold at this comment because our husky is due within the next 6-7 days and my wife said we’re getting her a “push present” which will be a big fat juicy steak lol.
I'd give her beef tips and gravey with egg noodles. A big bowl of it and some ice cold water. Then let her sleep and rest

Aww she did amazing, & omg babies!!! :) the love, care, & support you gave her throughout everything was so genuine & heartwarming. I have a 4 month old husky & canary mastiff mix, & she has those tanish patches around the ears, base of the neck, & right behind the shoulder blades like your gorgeous girl, except mine doesn't have that super fluffy coat with the grey, just lots of black lol. Its cool & funny with her mix too because half the time she's the crazy ball of curious energy, & the other half she's this extremely calm careless pup.

Definitely me. I loved all Kitana's puppy videos. I have 2 Formosan Mountain Dogs, Kaiya (6) & Angus (3)rescued as 2 day old & 1 week old respectively. We live in New York, but my hubby's cousin lives in Taiwan & she works at a FMD Rescue & Shelter called Sweet Home. While we thought about breeding Kaiya & Angus, we decided to neuter them & just add to our furry family by adopting rescue dogs who need forever homes. We're going to a shelter here in NY soon & we decided to ask them which dogs does nobody else want - we'll give them a life time of love & spoiling

It’s beautiful and disgusting at the same time. I didn’t know the mothers eat the afterbirth. Makes sense because I assume if this happened in the wild, the mother would need a source of sustenance to keep up her energy while having all those puppies.
Both cats and dogs eat the placenta. It helps regain strength,Aids in the bonding process and also helps with milk production
