GG. some hints from my side 1) There's no need to pickup CC at 5:00 vs ~4 stalkers. 2) I loved your SCV pull at 07:25. 3) At precisely 09:25 is where you actually want to pull back, not stim in to avoid losses (you can see he has charged lots, potentially storm, defense, etc). In the replay, look at unit lost to achieve nothing.. and you want to box him in on 2 bases, so park your army and block him in. 4) At 13:49, I liked your viking counter on colossus 5) At 17:20, you forgot to bring your tanks to the fight.
Awesome Game! Tip: "Management Wise" In the start of Midgame, "Gas-Micro" & "Mineral-Dump" is an awesome Technique to manage macro with all the chaos going-on. "Gas-Micro" is to prioritize which Units Ur gas goes due to being limited (unless U have 5-Bases already up). Such as do U need More Vikings/Tanks/Marauders/Ghosts? It also works in every race (more required for Protoss). "Mineral-Dump" is any Stuff U can get with Excess Minerals after using all the Gas, such as Spamming-Marines/Hellions & More-CommandCenters. That's why IronBank(mass CC) is a thing, and also More-CC = More-Bases = More-Gases. Just keep it in mind though. It's a bit Advanced if U focus too much on it. But doing it from time to time helps a lot going up the ladder.😊
Macro details; - Build the second supply depot a bit earlier (you were supply blocked for a while on 23/23) - The SCV that was sent to build the supply block compensation depot was never sent back to mining - Start thinking about a third CC when you move out. (You were oversaturated on workers already) Micro; 9:30 battle; he activated Battery Overcharge, meaning that a lot of your damage was nullified as his units are healed very quickly. You can either target down the battery, or retract and wait a bit for the overcharge to time out and go in again 9:47 Dropping the vikings - good idea, but they were needed earlier when the fighting was actually happening. Also, they targeted each their individual unit, better to have focused them both on the Immortal
Yeah I’ve heard this about the sheild batter overcharge, but never actually noticed it. I’ll work on noticing that. And yes, I’ve become a bit complacent with supply, that’s totally a thing I can and will fix
A thing I keep seeing is, that you siege your tanks too late before en engagement. Marines are already dying before the tanks are sieged up. They really deal a lot of your dmg so make sure you siege them up, then engage into their army or third, and if needed pull back a bit and let them walk straight into that tank fire
that is strange. i think i'm more worried about banelings. i need to fix that and build loads against everything. Are you around for the live stream tonight? 8-11 British time xoxoxo
GG Ollie. Looking at the game, your macro was far superior to his. He trumped you on his harass game, he had that down pretty well. But after that it seemed he didn't know what to do. For future games, when they have a shield battery by a Nexus and they overcharge it, you should just run away and come back in 15 seconds as you will have a hard time overcoming that shield recharge. Also, when you see 3 collosi on the other side of the field, you might be better off sending your vikings around from a 90 degree angle of attack to kill them off and make your opponent make bad choices. This game you sent a lot of convicts off to their deaths. :D Take care, mate!
i'm just following the advice of Convicts are there to die! :p in all seriousness, it was a scrappy and crazy game, i did some stuff right but way more wrong, i was lucky to get the gg. good shout on the vikings, i will do my best to remember that. Are you about for the live stream tonight? 8-11 British time
@@Voidspacealpha I was going to write it, the green effect on the shield battery at 9:28 is an active ability that boosts its healing dramaticly for 15 seconds. You got 2 reasonable options: or run away and come back in1 5 seconds, or focus it down. Im pretty sure if you had focused it down or run away and came back in 15 seconds, you would have won right then, when the overcharge got activated nothing died on protoss side. Also that medivac turning back, what a classic F2 moment:):). Overall i would say your opponent outplayed you here a bit in early game, but luckily his macro wasnt good.
@@Voidspacealphayou should definitely use F2, don’t listen to these guys as a master terran, F2 is your best friend and its only at the high high level you need to practice using control groups aswell ad F2 ❤

yeah, totally agree, i have had a few people remind me of this. i dont know if its overconfidence or what, but i will fix that.
