  • In this video I explain the most common types of scam used by sellers across Ebay and other platforms to scam you out of your hard earned cash.
    What to look for,
Classic signs of a scam advert,
How they convince you to part with your money for machines that don't exist.
This is by no means a comprehensive list and I would love to hear about other scams you have encountered down in the comments. If this video stops just one person being scammed then it is worth it.

    You said it Ollie.
"DEPOSIT" and "FOR A SMALL FEE"
SCAMS are some of the most popular ripoffs that can get you.
Sadly, I always assume someone is trying to scam me until I can prove that they are not (if I can).
    STAY ALERT and CAUTIOUS.
I ENJOY ALL OF YOUR EQUIPMENT CRITIQUE VIDS.
    (Here in the US).

Ollie, great advice. We're always aware of these scammers. Sadly over the years we've had kit stolen and then seen it for sale on Facebook, it's so disheartening. One thing that we've also noticed is that these scammers use other people's photos and therefore if you do a TER check, it will always come up as not-stolen!

That is the same scam here in the USA via the loacal sale sites like Facebook Marketplace. They mainly target auto buyers... "I'm out of the country, I'll pay for the transportation fee" Given auto transport fee is now $1000 minimum across state lines, for a $1200 vehicle? Too good to be true!

Was there anything I missed Ross that you would say to look out for? I know you have been fighting back against these scammers for sometime now.
