I wish I would have commented sooner to thank you for all the tips, tricks, and advice. I watched this video about 2 months ago and put all your words to work. I started with just my pickup truck, registered my business, made a website, and went to work knocking on doors. Today, 2 months in, im now equiped with 2 trailers - one being a standard trailer used for hauling junk/scrap metal, and the other for renting out for people to fill up and Ill pick it up the next day to haul away. Both trailers were completely funded by what Ive made and reinvested back into the business, plus have made just shy of $6,000 in net profits. I'm on track to drop my full time job to be 100% committed to my business, and I can't help but thank you enough man. This video has built my life long passion.

I'd like to tell everyone who is starting out....don't do a job for FREE. And by that I mean CHEAP !!!
There is a guy in town here who will do a 1/2 ton load for $50...and that include the dump fee. He is NOT making money.
Think about your time, the cost of insurance and your truck, then add profit.
It's OK to start small...rent a U-haul truck or a trailer if you have to....but START.
My biggest tip...bring a broom....people love it when the job is clean. All the best, Rick

Dope dope love the information. Something a lot of people including myself is that we think that we need all this stuff to start something. We don’t realize that all these successful people started out with nothing. Don’t get me wrong a lot of them had a lil boost but it’s the ones who start with nothing that make a great story

Awesome place to put business cards is at gas pumps. Usually a crease in the top corners of the pump

I have run a small lawn and landscaping business for years now but I know exactly what it’s like being embarrassed about posting on Facebook or doing certain things. I feel like anyone that sees it that knows it’s just me will shake there head or something I don’t know. When you said it I knew exactly what you meant though

I started with just my 2wd 15 year old chevy pickup truck. Made 75 first job (priced way too low) $100 next. Just advertised off of fb marketplace with a little ad I made in photoshop. You just start with small jobs to afford either a trailer or a better truck, advertise more, get more reputation.
