@gypsyrose-qq9nz the ladle is the way to go. They come in different sizes, and it's convenient to set the ladle down in the batter. You can always get it to stand up so you never get batter on the handle. Besides, the "Ice-cream" scooper they're talking about doesn't work well for Ice-cream. Use that for mashed potatoes. The one for Ice-cream is 1/4 of a sphere.
I make oversized blueberry/walnut/banana muffins. The larger muffin papers are expensive. Especially if you are making several. I make my own as well. I use a fabric rotary cutter to make the squares and to do the cuts. Goes fast.
This is great because you can make it fit whatever size pan would have. It's going to store a whole lot easier than normal wrappers that get crushed. The trick works great for muffins, cupcakes, brownies, etc, I've even been able to get a cone-shaped using something taller
Sometimes, I am excited to bake cupcakes and have all the ingredients- except we used up the stock of cupcake papers at the most recent birthday party. Instead of rushing to the store for 1 item, I may give this technique a try. Thanks!
I love this idea. The presentation is a little more fancy and i cant find the right size cases for my mini cupcake pan, so this is the aolution ive been needing.
I definitely need this method, thank you for your sharing. Your grandma is very creative. Solve the problem especially when the preparation is done and last stage no paper cup. ❤
I have those silicone cupcakes cups. Pain in the tush to wash the cooked cake bits out of all the folds. Now I use them for holding nuts or m&m's while watching TV.@@hamsandjenohbacon
Grandmas are so smart....too smart and frugal for their times! I'm a grandmother so I will show off this tip to my 7 and 8 year old granddaughers! 😂 Love ❤ love this tip, thanks for sharing!
my grandma wouldnt even share a recipe she didnt like us much i think but thats the break s u get a sweet old gran dma or u dont and we didnt.but id use paper cups for that. But back in the day they probably didnt have any.i would have greased them up and filled them higher then u could have dumbed them out or used a fork or knife.😊
That’s very cool! I need some cupcake cup but this week but didn’t want to have to go to the store because we live out in the country. I’ll just make these. Thanks! 👍😊💚
Grandma’s are awesome! They always have the BEST recipes and advice.
People be hatin but sometimes you just run out of liners and im grateful for this option!
Yes like me right now lol
Just grease it real good with butter or coconut oil. No more sticking!
@@katie7748 I don't want to use oil or butter, so that's a good trick.
Nothing sticks to parchment no need to grease ! Use a tiny drop of water or oil in the bottom of the pan to hold the parchment in place.
Liners aren’t necessary.
Paper liners...300 for $1 !!
Parchment paper is expensive. Cupcake liners are cheap.
@@Redrose-d4tDollarama Plus is your friend.
Not in my one horse town! Love this tip❤
😂😂😂 I was thinking the same thing! Parchment is expensive so I use it sparingly. That’s what cup cake liners are for. 😂
Cutting the square, then cutting it, then repeat...ain't nobody got time for that.
I'm definitely going to use this!
Me too.
Me too❤
But why go to trouble of cutting up all those squares when muffin cups already exist?
@@jdstep97kii
I've seen these in fancy shops. Grandma was trendy and way ahead of her time!
That's exactly what I was thinking
it’s probably clickbait they most likely got this idea off of pinterest
@@kat-cg6dy people can be very resourceful, it's very possible grandma did teach them this
These are young people learning.
Ice cream scooper works great for perfectly proportioned batter.
@@robinwojcik5196 Little cookie dishers work really well, they're a lot easier to find in a lot of different sizes
I use my ladel. One full scoop is the exact amount
99cent 100 paper muffins
I was just thinking that bc I do that.

Thank you for sharing your grandma's knowledge. I like.
So much prettier than the premade liners I buy. Thank you ❤
This is perfect!! BC the ones that you buy like this are so expensive!!! 💜💜
You're Grandma was very smart! ❤
I needed this! Smart Grandma!
I make oversized blueberry/walnut/banana muffins. The larger muffin papers are expensive. Especially if you are making several. I make my own as well. I use a fabric rotary cutter to make the squares and to do the cuts. Goes fast.
This is a fantastic idea
I also label that rotary cutter as my paper cutter so that the sewing fairies don’t get angry at me.
What size square?
Looks like you could make nice fillo pastry cups with that.
Or puff pastry. Good idea.
I'm gonna use this too ❤thank you and grandma ❤
Thank you for sharing such a great idea
Very nice muffins...the look delicious!
Love this, thank you so much
Cupcake liner too ❤ Thanks Grandma ❤
This is why grandmothers are important
But not all are lucky to meet their grandparents but I wonder how it would feel like having some lol

Wow that’s brilliant 👌👌
Grandma wasn't ahead of time like some people are saying... Grandma is intelligent.❤
Your Grandma's very creative! 😊 That's awesome.😂 🙏💘
Our grandmas were the best at making things easier.
Agree
Using store bought paper cups is way easier than this.
That was way before TVs, electronics and internet were invented. 😢
That's not easier than using cupcake liners from the store.
And "making do" with what they had on hand! I used to live 40 miles away from a grocery store and I had to try similar tricks!
Beautifully and perfectly done . 😊❤
Gördüğüm çok iyi oldu merak ediyordum teşekkürler
Love this ❤️ such an amazing idea when out of muffins cups! Grandma’s are so amazing 🥰🥰

Thanks, I will try this for my next batch
I think this person already knew there was cupcake liners, just showing you a more decorative way hello!
@@franniej.3110 some people can be so negative. This is an excellent tip for when you're out of liners. Or you're not as lazy as some people 😉😂
Or in case you've run out, you can IMPROVISE!!!
What a magical word. The Negative Nancy's really need naps & hugs.
Or even for a fancier look! I think they look like those ones that you see in those cute litte bake shops🥰😋
It's called being frugal. Stuff like this done many times saves a lot of money
@@mixedmediaartgirl300 Parchment paper is not cheap!

Amazon probably has mini cupcake liners. 👍
Great idea! Even if they rise a bit higher, the batter will not overflow onto the pan. 😊
Thank you so much for sharing we definitely use idea blessing.
Love this !
❤❤❤Absolutely delicious and yummy
Absolutely love this tip I never have those cupcake things haha
I am definitely going to make them thank you x x xx

Great idea and easier to peel off ... 😊
The best lifehack I’ve ever seen. Thanks for sharing 🥰
Wow, great to know! I ran out of cupcake cups so I sprayed the heck out of the cupcake tin...
I prefer the texture of muffins and cupcakes made without a liner.
I've done that too.
You can buy silicone reusable ones
Stuff the wrapper I'll hv wdozen of those wee jaffa cakes
