    When you guys were talking about needing a strong reason, desire, or purpose to learn Spanish I thought about Ronnie Coleman's famous quote... "Everybody wanna be a bodybuilder. Ain't noboday wanna lift no heavy ass weight!"

    Actually i am using your hardback book over this 3 day weekend to perfect my Spanish. Yesterday i shocked staff at my favorite Mexican restaurant where i have been going for 3 years and they had no idea i even knew Spanish. Finally they had to ask for all the details. I had my first free class of Spanish w Paul in April 2023 and now I'm around A2 and understanding most but not all of what i hear. Your book has been an amazing help, and even my iTalki tutors are shocked at how much i know since i got your book, my abilities have skyrocketed!! Basically your book is cementing everything i learned in the 99 dollar premium Spanish w Paul course which i just finished. I think i am gonna start posting up youtube videos on Spanish as well for people starting out.

      Wow!!!! I appreciate this so much! This is why I wrote the book. I was hoping that it would help you all learn Spanish much faster and clearer and this comment is confirmation that it is helping someone. Thank you so much and please keep learning. When you're ready, let's do an interview in Spanish!

      @@MikeBen Yes, we most definitely will do an interview! Your book FINALLY straightened me out for good last night on ese,esa,este,esta and eso and esto ! I was always confused on this and now I have it down forever ! You're a legend sir, thank you !!!!

      Hey I just recently purchased a Spanish w/ Paul course. What do you think about it?? I am about to start it today.

    • @MexicanMovie
      @MexicanMovie Год назад

      @@mtoney49 Did you take the 10 free mini courses first on his youtube channel ? His premium course for 99 bucks is the greatest thing since sliced bread for me, otherwise i never would have learned Spanish. I signed up in April 2023 and recently finished and I spend several hours per week online with Spanish italki girls for conversation. The hardback book from Mike basically covers everything you learned and is invaluable to patch holes in your Spanish that you somehow missed or need to work on. The first chapter on SWP premium is slow and boring (cognates) but you gotta do ALL of it, don't skip a thing because you'll need it.

    Good interview. I’m in the middle of reading your book. Since you have exercises to translate sentences.
    Do you recommend being able to translate the sentence on your own without any help from app before moving on to the next page?

    • @MexicanMovie
      @MexicanMovie Год назад +1

      hola, i have the hardback copy and I'm gonna say no you don't need to master every single sentence the first time through, but you should understand why it is the way it is. Ideally you have already done a course and are using this to solidify your Spanish, which is what i am doing. Also be aware that in exercise 8 the sentence numbers got a little out of sequence , it goes 1,2,1,2,3,4,5.... to 20 so the answer key #3 is the second sentence 1..... easy to figure out. All the sentences that are new and gave me an "aha" moment i wrote down in my book in the blanks.

    • @MikeBen
      @MikeBen  Год назад

      Hola Ruben, I wouldn't try to memorize/understand each exercise completely. As long as you understand 75% to 80% of it, it's completely fine to move on to the next one in my opinion. That's how I worked through the resources that I had and that worked amazingly. A lot of things clicked later down the line.

I know a while back you were thinking about doing one on one Spanish lessons. Are you still considering this. I learn best one on one. Always have. Thanks Mike. Keep doing what your doing.
