Ya this is definitely crazy! I watch and follow both of you. Your Spanish journey has definitely been a huge help in keeping me motivated to keep learning Spanish. And Paul’s channel helped me with my move to Mexico from FL. I’ve been in Merida, MX for almost a month. Paul’s videos on obtaining Mexican residency were a huge help to me!
Wow mil gracias, I’m glad these videos help and I plan on following you and Paul’s plan on the future once I get my house paid off as well! Que disfrutes Mexico!
I read the English title and thought the video was going to be in English. I’m glad it wasn’t though. I enjoyed improving my Spanish listening skills. I would love more videos like these for sure!
Check out the transcript of the entire video at the bottom of the description box. You can follow along as you listen and/or read it by yourself and take notes.
I lived in Merida MX for 6 months. I met a girl there and we hung out the whole time. Now we live in Minnesota and we are married with two kids. We plan to move back to Merida soon
@@MikeBen That's awesome. Centro is the place to be. We met at a place called La Negrita Cantina, it's a restaurant with live music and a bar. But another good place for dancing and a good mix of mostly locals and a few tourists is Mezcaleria. Those are two great places to start. It's easy to meet people there and explore more places.
So happy I stumbled across your video, Mike, featuring two of my favorite You-Tubers, yourself and QRoo Paul. In my glacial progress toward learning Spanish, between the two of you conversing, I managed to understand about 65-70% of what you guys were saying. I call that progress. You're right too, about Paul being a pretty chill guy. I guess that being a former cop would make him be able to separate the important things in life from all the minor distractions of living as an expat in Mexico. He's a good teacher and you are too. Keep up the good work.
I'm glad to hear that you are understanding so much of this conversation Paul! I remember when you commented earlier and it seems like you've grown a lot. Paul is the best and I agree, working in law enforcement for so long may have helped him stay so level headed! That along with him being a genuinely chill guy is why I love watching his videos. Gracias!
This is crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the helll? I watch both of these two RUclipsrs!!!!!!! I love both of these two RUclipsrs!!!!!! I can’t even believe this!!!!! I have been watching both of these guys to help me listen and learn how to use grammar and listening skills. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
I watch Qroo Paul all the time. Just found your channel Mike. Your Spanish in this is so much better than the first video I watched. Loved watching you two talk.
So glad you are continuing your Spanish conversations while learning Swahili. You are two of my favorites! Would be a dream If you ever interview Erica Ray Spanish Language Coach & Storyteller and Tamara Marie Spanish con Salsa!!
Very cool interview! Two inspiring Spanish students! Love Qroo's tips on at least practicing (not studying) Spanish at least 20 minutes a day. Consistency is key.
I learn whole sentences saying them aloud. 5 days - 300 repetitions per day at least. Later I don't need to translate. I know the meaning of words straight away like in my native language. And also I remember the meaning longer than by learning separate words. This method is called: chunking. It was a real game changer in my learning process and communication skills in English and other languages.😊😊
Hi Mike, in this day and time of short attention spans, if a video is longer than 10 minutes keeps my attention, it has to be good. That said, I have to say '' "''Mission Accomplished'' A mí me gustan muchísimos todos los videos. Siempre me dan la oportunidad de mejorar mi español. Keep them coming! Your Georgia neighbor!
Mike you did it again great interview, I wanted to know if you & Spanish Blueprint can do a video together? BTW I watch these interviews with Spanish subtitles which I believe helps me tremendously
I know I should be content with what I have which is not much for a citizen of the USA and a disabled Veteran. I feel bad when I see illegals and non illegals who have better houses, cars and clothes than I do. 😮 When I got to some countries like Panama and Mexico, I noticed the rich people who came before me had spent fortunes on properties and houses and the prices were way to high for me. Now it is worse and it’s not getting any better. I suppose I have to settle for being in the low class even in a third world country 😢! One problem is the people in these countries think because I am white, I must have tons of money and that sure doesn’t help when I need to barter for even a place to live.
@@MikeBen Even the VA retirement homes want to take at least a third of your income which is less than what it seems some get on welfare. My best option is to live in a pueblo outside of any tourist location so I can speak Spanish not inglés. I am in a locación turística ahora y estoy enfermo de oír inglés 😡
It sounds like you need to change your attitude and mindset. You could be in rural africa and be the richest person there. Comparing yourself to others will always keep you a victim.
@@crabbypadty393 In part I agree thanks. I hope you do not need to walk in my shoes (old worn shoes.). Any ideas of how to change or accept are appreciated really!
Honestly, I almost can’t believe how much I understand and can follow y’all’s conversation. Hope to be like you both when I grow up.😂
Lol you will!

This seems like it works well but how much time are we talking here with these repetitions?
