    I have been using Campanelli cleaning cloths for my facial cleansing for several years. They are so soft and absorbent without being harsh like terry cloth. I even keep a newer one in my travel stuff because I can't be without it!
    I've been using Revive (black bottle) serum on my brows and lashes on your recommendation for several months and I've seen length, but not much thickness.
    I am going to try the Obagi once this is finished.
    My goal this year is to use up old stuff before buying new products...it's going to be tough, but watching you helps by editing and looking into the rationale behind ingredients.

    The Ordinary serum for brows gave me caterpillar brows. It also grew hair on my head. I have a new hairline! I didn't check the ingredients before I bought it. It is EGF! Wow, I am sold on EGF as an ingredient now boy oh boy.

      I wish the Ordinary Lash and Brow worked for me as I love the price point. I did an experiment a few months ago. I used Rapidbrow on one brow and the Ordinary on the other for 2 months (was trying for 3 months). The Rapidbrow side had great growth while the Ordinary side thinned out. I decided to cut the experiment short because I didn’t like the lopsided look lol. With Rapidbrow, it took about 6 weeks for the thin brow to catch up to the other thick brow.

    Well Penny, once again you hit it out of the proverbial park with the Shark Smoothstyle heated comb straightener and smoother. I bought it on Amazon yesterday after watching your video, received it early this morning and used it this afternoon and, whoa! I have 2 Revlon hot brushes (the large one and the smaller one) and love that the Shark is not as hot and does not burn my ears. Additionally, the hot comb elements leave my hair very silky but do not flatten it as much as a regular hair straightener does. So, once again, thank you for a wonderful recommendation 😍

    About these dissolving spicules (is that how you spell it??) I still can’t help but wonder what happens when they “dissolve”. It would seem to me that there still might be microscopic traces of the stuff that are left. Or does your body know to get rid of that and excrete it somehow? How do the cells know it’s not something they should attack and essentially create an inflammatory response to because they are essentially foreign to the body? Is there any research into the long term effects (toxicity?) if the body is not excreting the microscopic end products of this stuff? Anyway, if you come across this type of info it could be good for people to know about. Thanks for all your great content!!!

    I was totally intrigued by the Private Doctor serum and at only $19.95 on Amazon, I decided to check it out for myself and ordered it. But then I looked at the reviews (most of which were very good), but the latest one said she ordered two and both were expired. Then I looked at the Private Doctor's own website and saw that their normal price is $49.00. So this makes me wonder if Amazon has it so cheap right now because they want to get rid of it. Well, when it comes next week, I will see whether it's expired or not. I hope not, because I really think it sounds promising!

      I tried it a few years ago and I didn’t notice anything and it was more expensive back then so I never repurchased. I was trying all afternoon to find the video of a doctor or surgeon who said that spicules can stay in your skin for long periods without dissolving. It was either Dr Dray, Dr Gary Linkov, Dr Rajani, or Dr Amir Karam. I’ll keep searching through my watched history for that video.

As for spicules, I know the VT Reedle Shot is a k-beauty product I've seen come up on channels. as far as the eyebrow product goes... i get a prescription from my Derm for Latanaprost drops pay a one dollor co-pay for it and apply it to my brows nightly and lightly microneedle it into my brows and it works just as well!
    So im not paying 116.00 dollars for a 5ml nothing product...(as well as it may work)

      Fair enough 😊
      But the obagi isn’t nothing, it’s essentially the same prostaglandin as what you’re using. Just FYI ❤️
      How do you get your insurance to pay for your latanaprost?

    • @MatthiasHamilton

      my pharmacy takes care of that for me plus its a generic form of the drug which is used traditionally for glaucoma patients. I dont think the generic form is very expensive.. The medical community found a side effect of that drug was people's lashes were growing exponentially.. so derms now use it for the brows. I also use a compounded hair product that has latanoprost in it also along with retinol, minoxidil, finasteride, and dutasteride @@PENNSMITHSKINCARE

    Dear Penn, I wonder shall we apply anti-inflammatory skincare after microneedling? such as Centella, other soothing serums? I ask because I find it contradicting that it seems we should "soothe and calm" the skin after microneedling but then ibuprofen which is an anti-inflammatory drug is not allowed since we want the inflammation to happen? Also, after my last needling session I got PIH on my forehead while i did a stamping method with the dermapen Dr Pen A6 with 0.25 mm on the forehead.. I am so confused since I did the most gentle method with the very low depth and why does that happen? My forehead bleeds quite much too. Do you think the pen with those thinner needles would help to avoid this? I am also not sure how to proceed - I want to microneedle again but I am afraid to cause more PIH, what would you suggest? thank you!

    • @PENNSMITHSKINCARE
      @PENNSMITHSKINCARE  5 месяцев назад

      So first with the PIH, I would pre-treat your skin with pigment inhibitors for 2 weeks minimum to help prevent it next time. It can be unpredictable as to why we get PIH sometimes and other times not- so pre-treating just helps prevent it. Hydroquinone at 4% is the gold standard but it is a prescription and some people prefer not to use it. If you don’t want to use HQ or can’t get it, look for arbutin, kojic acid, tranexamic acid etc.
      Next, I actually don’t think ibuprofen after is a big deal. I think that the inflammatory response has happened and it’s ok to cap that inflammation after we needle. I don’t typically take ibuprofen immediately after but a little while after isn’t going to negate the treatment (in my opinion).
      I avoid it before bc it’s a blood thinner and we can bleed and bruise.

      @@PENNSMITHSKINCARE Thank you for your thoughtful response:) I dont think i can get hidroquinone, but I use tranexamic and niacinamide for brightening daily now.. Do you think it's ok to apply anti-inflammatory ingredients after microneedling such as centella?

    • @PENNSMITHSKINCARE
      @PENNSMITHSKINCARE  5 месяцев назад

      @@ainakunigelyte I do but only immediately after cosmetic (shallow) needling. If you decide to apply after medical needling just know there are risks (granulomas). I have about 12 old washcloths and that’s what I use. I can throw them in bleach when I do laundry and feel better than disposable cloths. Even though the cloths are biodegradable, I just don’t see the point in adding something else to the landfill that even if it biodegrades I really don’t have a need for it. Wow, I looked up that eyebrow serum, and it is rather pricey. I wish that these hair drying companies would recognize that not everybody has long hair. The size of the current oval hairdryers are really made for people with long hair. I have mid neck length hair and they just don’t work for me. I think the companies are very shortsighted when they don’t take into consideration the variety of lengths of hair that people have, and accommodate accordingly.
