    Thank you SO much. I've dreamed for years (since I was a kid) of seeing the Macy's parade in person, and never got to go. But this year my teenage daughter will be marching in it. So I will absolutely be there! I've been so concerned about all these details and unaware of where to turn to find out. This answered SO many questions and helped me know where to focus my search, as well as when to arrive, what to expect, and more. Thanks for sharing your regrets, too: I would so enjoy the balloon-filling but had no idea that was publicly viewable. Very helpful tips.

    Disappointed to find out that the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree wasn’t lit up. Poor planning on NYC’s part, IMO.
    Questions:
    1. Did you go to Macy’s itself and was it decorated for the holiday?
    2. Were other attractions in NYC decorated? In other words, was there a festive atmosphere?
    3. Is wi-fi available in the area?
    Thank you for your informative video. 👍🏼

      1. We did go to Macy's and it was decorated but it was so hectic inside we didn't stay long!
      2. Most everything was decorated and it was a super festive atmosphere! Felt very much like Christmas!
      3. Our hotel had wi-fi but that was the only place where we really need it!
      Hope that helps!

    All great tips! Do you have the problem with getting there early for a front row and people showing up later or last minute trying to push in front of you? This always happens at Disney fireworks. Wait for hours with a good spot and someone comes along with five minute till show time thinking they can push in front of you. Thanks for sharing the tips. We probably won't ever get a chance to see this live.

    • @TravelingWithEmMe
      @TravelingWithEmMe  2 года назад +4

      That is a great question! With the huge crowd that showed up there was only one person who tried to shove their way to the front and lets just say the NYC crowd didn't take to kindly to that LOL!!

    • @NevadaLamb
      @NevadaLamb 9 месяцев назад

      Ugh!!! This comment makes me think of when I went to see the Changing of the Guards and got there super early to have a front row, center view. Well 5 seconds before the start, some disabled guy rolls up in his wheelchair. I think no problem, he won’t block my view, but then 6 family members squeeze their way through, and the way everyone moved to make room pushed me back. It all happened so fast! 😭 I was so upset.

    so cool! We just booked our trip for thanksgiving this year. Your video was so helpful. We're not wanting to get up so early to get a front row. How late would you suggest just so we can get a spot. We don't mind being 5-7 people back. Do you think we could get a spot as it's going at 9? Or would we need to get there 30 mins before? Just trying to figure out if there's any spots to snag at the back

So the only problem with where we were is that we had to about 45 minutes for the parade to show up once it started!
