  • I wasn't satisfied with the current "HQ" version of Boc Maxima that just replaces all the songs with higher quality versions, so I made my own. And I tried to time all of the songs so that they match up with the original tape rip. I also made a high quality version of the album art, using the highest quality image I could find, and by downloading the original font used on the cover. This album belongs to Music70 and Boards of Canada, not me. All copyrights are acknowledged.
Enjoy and thanks for being Faboo!

This is amazing! Far better quality than any other remaster I've heard!
If it's not too much trouble, is there any way I could download this?

I think the cover art might be a bit tilted...

How exactly did you make the remaster? Whitewater is probably my favorite track by them so I am always looking for the best version.

I used Audacity. I used the highest quality rip of the tape that I could find online, as well as the highest quality versions of all the songs that weren't exclusive to the album. I timed ths tracks so that they all would sync up like they did in the original tape. As for Side B (Carcan onwards), I actually lost my original Audacity project for that part. Luckily, I had it saved onto a cassette tape which was encoded with Dolby C, for good measure. So it was just a matter of ripping that side of the tape and saving it. Thankfully, it sounds pretty much exactly the same as it would have been had I not lost the original project. But yeah, that's pretty much it.

@@wakkowarner5297 what did you do in Audacity? Noise reduction?

Svperstar None necessary. The version I downloaded was pretty much top quality. All the other tracks besides tracks 1, 2, 3, 9, 10, 12, 13, 16, 19, and 20 came from other releases of the same songs. 4, 8, 15, and 18 are from Hi Scores 2014 Edition. 5 and 6 from Music Has The Right To Children. 7, 14, and 17 from A Few Old Tunes. 11 from Twoism.
