Jean-Michel Jarre - Musique Pour Supermarché / Music For Supermarkets (Full Album)
Просмотров 18 тыс.4 года назад
This is the original, full album made by Jean-Michel Jarre in 1983 for an art exhibition. Only one copy was pressed, and the master plates were burned in public. The record was played only once, on AM radio, where Jarre encouraged those listening to "Pirate me!", after which the record was auctioned off. As of now, only parts 1, 3 and 6 have been released in their full quality. As for this part...
Boards of Canada - Boc Maxima (2019 Remaster/Re-edit)

I wasn't satisfied with the current "HQ" version of Boc Maxima that just replaces all the songs with higher quality versions, so I made my own. And I tried to time all of the songs so that they match up with the original tape rip. I also made a high quality version of the album art, using the highest quality image I could find, and by downloading the original font used on the cover. This album ...
Tracklist: 1:06 Overture 5:04 Part 1 7:31 Part 2 (Fifth Rendezvous) 11:02 Part 3 13:15 Part 4 (Blah Blah Café) 17:49 Part 5 24:41 Part 6 (Diva) 28:41 Part 7
Is this how it was supposed to sound? Just wondering
No, the original sounded crystal clear. Only reason it sounds so bad is because it was broadcast on AM radio.
What about Peter Jackson getting hold of this and using his AI technology to clean it up like he did with John Lennon's voice on 'Now and Then'? Even take each track out and remix the entire album for the world? Mr Jarre did ask for it to be pirated, and that would be the ultimate piracy?
32:17 that sound was used in ethnicolor 2!
Does anyone know what they are Talking in the radio babble? Jarre was dumb to ruin it because i love the intro music. I also wish for lyrics to Diva. Cant find it anywhere
This is amazing! Far better quality than any other remaster I've heard! If it's not too much trouble, is there any way I could download this?
The best quality ever
Thank you very much for sharing this masterpiece.
I wonder what happened to Mr Gérard who bought that record at the auction...
I wish supermarkets actually played music that was this groovy
A great song and album.
once upon a time in albertsons
another pirata-piraña.
lol, Hilarious.... 'Loved' the Description.
Great Work And Thank You Dude I Really Really "REALLY" Needed This !
Happy that this jewel isn't lost... thanks YT and OP.
Sounds like vaporwave !
very much like early ferraro
This is genius. By restricting the album to a crappy AM radio recording, the album will forever sound like supermarket music: Poor quality AM radio.
11:48 sounds like Equinoxe
More like Magnetic Fields Part 5, the Rumba.
part 6 sounds like intro of equinoxe 7 in china also i found that sound in roland d50 VST and i was holyshit!
@@sebastianolivares3021 i was meaning exactly that!
@@thomasmartin7524Yes I think its reversed Edit: no its not
Hello! This is the only copy of this album I've seen where all the tracks fit together seamlessly. However, there seems to be a lot of post processing that (even on AM radio quality) loses a lot of fidelity and blows out the bass frequencies. Do you know if an unaltered copy of this digitization exists for download? Thanks.
Yeah, I sourced it from this video: ruclips.net/video/mh0Nz8LMlSc/видео.html
Hello, I also have an "original" recording of the broadcast (a tape), BUT this version is the best, GOOD JOB !!!
The floof remastered Boc Maxima. You need huggy. *huggy*
you are not immune to propaganda
@@pokenbby Nobody is
probably the best quality version i have heard of this, he did release part 2 also on planet jarre compilation so he probably does have copies and or demos of the original version

How exactly did you make the remaster? Whitewater is probably my favorite track by them so I am always looking for the best version.
I used Audacity. I used the highest quality rip of the tape that I could find online, as well as the highest quality versions of all the songs that weren't exclusive to the album. I timed ths tracks so that they all would sync up like they did in the original tape. As for Side B (Carcan onwards), I actually lost my original Audacity project for that part. Luckily, I had it saved onto a cassette tape which was encoded with Dolby C, for good measure. So it was just a matter of ripping that side of the tape and saving it. Thankfully, it sounds pretty much exactly the same as it would have been had I not lost the original project. But yeah, that's pretty much it.
@@wakkowarner5297 what did you do in Audacity? Noise reduction?
Svperstar None necessary. The version I downloaded was pretty much top quality. All the other tracks besides tracks 1, 2, 3, 9, 10, 12, 13, 16, 19, and 20 came from other releases of the same songs. 4, 8, 15, and 18 are from Hi Scores 2014 Edition. 5 and 6 from Music Has The Right To Children. 7, 14, and 17 from A Few Old Tunes. 11 from Twoism.
I think the cover art might be a bit tilted...
