  • We visit the Strid ! Bolton Abbey in Yorkshire near Skipton. Natural RAW sounds Unedited. You can hear the POWER !
This river is in FLOOD on the video so it's raging more than usual. It has 100% fatality rate. We will be doing undertow tests here and depth checks with sonar. Yes its already been done... but we will test it again for confirmation!
We also plan to do a Cinematic video here which will be awesome!

There was a investigative group that visited the strid and found it to be over 100m deep at one point. They used Lidar, Sonar and Echo testing.

My wife and I have visited Bolton Abbey several times, it's a beautiful place and one of our favourites, and the 5 /6 mile walk around the River Wharfe area is absolutely stunning! Most of the river looks very calm but when you get to The Strid where the volume of the water in compressed through a small gap it is very powerful and the rocks are very slippy. I have been told that the depth goes to at least 65 metres deep (over 213 feet) under this part of the river and with extremely strong currents I am not surprised that over the years people have been drowned at this spot. One of the saddest is a married couple who were drowned whilst on the 2nd day of their honeymoon in 1998. There are many warning signs in this area telling you of the dangers, so if you visit it please be very careful but enjoy this wonderful location.

6:29 in the upper right corner we can see a new cave being drilled out by sediment and the current below with a spinning whirpool on top. While the currents under there are no doubt very strong and could easily push someone into a cave. Not to mention the endless times that they'd crack their head and body up against rocks at high speed. I would assume that someone going into the water under the waterfall at 1:11 would die from the billions of water oxygenation bubbles floating up, which would make them sink down further and further. You can't even attempt to swim in that, it's like a lowhead dam. A life jacket can't even float in oxygenated water. The youtuber Jack A Snacks sent a camera down and for dozens of feet it was like that with bubbles everywhere.

I live near here. The strid is formidable and beautiful. It's a stretch of water that it isn't very long and belongs to the mighty river Wharfe. It's recently been proved to be 1000ft deep. It has an 100%fatality rate. If you go in you aint coming out alive. The strid has an hour glass on top of an hour glass shapes underneath. When i bring my children to see the strid i never let go of thier hands. Its both beautiful and extremely dangerous. Part of the problem is .. if you fall in the water is so aerated you just sink and the caverns and current take care of the rest. Please visit this wonderful magical place. Never get too close because if you do, you may never be found again.
