Steering servo is 11kg. The carbon version truck comes with a 540 motor, you can also move the esc with the provided mount up onto the top of the 2 center braces. You can then fit standard size batteries ie 5000mah, to fit larger size 540 motors into this aluminum version truck. You need to change out the stock motor mount to the mount that comes in the carbon version truck.
"540 motor" ? 540 is a brushed motor size specification. The motor is 2852 or 3650 depending on carbon or aluminum model. I'm pretty sure "540" means 36mm, but you don't usually use that simple designation for a brushless motor, as it leaves out the can length. Please use proper terminology, as someone not paying attention may think this is a brushless motor. I mean, you can do what you like, but calling a 36mm diameter brushless motor a "540 motor" makes it seem like you don't know exactly what you're talking about. No offence meant, just advice.
@@Boogie_the_cat You better take that up with the countless brushless motor manufacturers that list there motors as 540 & 550 etc etc size motors. Using those sizings for brushed or brushless is just an indicator as to the physical size of given motors. 540 usually means around 36x50 - 36x52, motors that are longer say 36x55 or 36x58 are refered to as 550 size.
Chinese companies can't do anything without stealing technology from Western companies. Asking a gook to innovate is like telling a special Olympian to beat Michael Phelps.
@@Themlpg73yeah, except the problem is that is in the fine print. They call it 1/10 everywhere else, which is just a slimy thing to do, when it already is tough to determine product size on the Internet. I just bought an 8th scale, and if I was lazy (like many other customers are) and didn't realize that I was buying a 10th scale, that some douchebag decided to call 8th scale, in order to get more sales, I'd be pissed. That's not good business practice, and my previous experience with Rlaarlo CT8A crapping out after 75 days, and Rlaarlo giving zero sh1ts about warranty replacement, I don't really care for them as a company.
Thanks heaps, man, really appreciate you stopping by. Yeah, going by your vid, I'll need to bring along my own pack for the extra 💪. Can't wait to run this little guy, it looks super tough. 😎
Great review Vas 👍. Yes a lot to like , interchangeable parts good suspension and towers . Good rubber on the wheels. The overall impression is good . The proof of the pudding will how it runs with the included power train and if the servo cuts the mustard. Let’s see how she goes. As always enjoyed the unboxing and your opinions.
Excellent review... Looks like a good little ripper.. Was mentioned below the carbon version has the 540 size motor! Wooo!!!. LOTS of features..Love the idea of interchangeable A arms and the ability to add carbon to stiffen things up. Think for the size the 380 setup will do well on 3s... Agree again, the manual is a mess... and no-one likes plastic wheels on their radios. Can't wait for the running video Vas!! Send it!!
Cheers. Yeah, could've gone a bit bigger and I'm sure a lot of people would've jumped on it. But to be fair, Rlaarlo haven't been around long and they've released some pretty cool cars in that time, this is just another step forward until they eventually come out with bigger trucks.
@@AussieRCPlayground they are definitely heading in the right direction for sure ... Cant wait for future releases and hopefully we see a bigger Monster trucks come out 🔥
I have had this little truck for a while now and its had a couple of dozen packs through it.. All in all its a great, durable truck. The speed is absolutely fine, easy fast enough to have loads of fun bashing, my son loves it. For the battery Turingy make a 2700 mah which is easily available, its very cheap and is 105cm long and fits just fine and lasts 20 to 25 minutes,, most of all the battery is cheap so I just bought a few. Only thing I would say is the body on the aluminum version Is not good, it shattered very quickly and did survive even modest bashing. I ended up buying a replacement body. There is a more durable body that comes as standard on the Carbon fibre version. So by the time you have replaced it with that it would have been better to buy the carbon fibre version in the first place.. That is however my only gripe, apart from that its cheap, durable and great fun to drive. its a safe buy if your looking for a high performance Rc truck that's really easy to rive and control (beginner ish).
Great informative video again 👌💯. Looks like a very decent little basher. Would have loved to see it be a proper 1/10th-scale in size but that´s just my opinion. Have a good one and keep it up 🤜🤛
Great video mate as always.. can't wait to see the bashing at the unforgiving bmx track Altona hahahahahahaha. Still waiting for my delivery of carbon fiber model with gyro and bigger battery 😂😊
It's almost like they've deliberately included weak electrics knowing that people will probably swap them out, but 48dp...you'd have to faff around trying to get a suitable spur. Confusing choices. Love the show bro 👏👏👏👏
On Rlaarlo's website they listed the amount they have in stock. I always get that fear of missing out but yet I don't want to over pay either. They have the Omni Termination Carbon Fiber version from $330 to now $250 (sure I know it is a marketing gimmick); but do think we will see this cheaper by the time it hit Amazon? Or buying the pre-sale is the better bargain? Your thoughts.
Will it ever be on Amazon? Over here in Europe they aren't. And the intro price actually was the lowest. I think the standard prices are just a bit too high for what you get.
The choices made feel somewhat inconsistend. For instance the basher/budget friendly A-arms but than the not standard servo size. But than again 1:10 are normally very tough. I guess you will have a hard time breaking it. And this one will be nice and quiete too. Does it have a composite spur as well?
Spur is alloy metal, the diff input gears are also straight cut alloy. The carbon version truck has chrome steel spur & chrome steel spiral cut diff input gears.
... I had to zip tie the ESC Down As It Came Lose But This Truck Is Built Like A Tank ....I've the carbon version And Stock It's Ultra Fast ....I've a 2 X 2200mah battery set up and it runs 24 to 30 minutes
I've heard the carbon fibre one has a better radio? I WAS going to buy one of these, but decided to get a Castle ESC and motor for my TA Pro4 instead. They really need an Australian importer
Cheers. Depends on the application, I personally prefer the alloy for hard bashing and the carbon for light bashing and circuit work. Both will be great, I'm sure, so I don't think you can go wrong with either one. 🙂
I kinda wished they had the alloy with the upgraded electronics and running gear from the carbon rtr. I guess at least they have the roller available to put your own gear in.
@@AussieRCPlaygroundThe carbon has a polycarbonate (and better looking) body instead of pvc, better motor, better transmitter, 60A esc instead of 45A. Carbon inserts and braces for more strength and an optional gyro. No brainer over base model.

Why do you say it may resemble the Team Magic E5 in size? I have the E5, that's definitely a full-size 1:10, close to a Granite and the likes. This one is way smaller.
I have 3 E5 trucks and they are among the smallest of the 1/10 scales on the market, so that's why I mentioned it. Trucks like the Granite, Big Rock, Stampede, Quantum, etc, look a lot bigger and in a lot of cases, they actually are. My point was to paint a picture that this truck is on the smaller side of the 1/10 scale market. In hindsight, I probably should've just showed some side by side shots, but this was done rather quickly and I didn't have the time.
@@AussieRCPlayground OK maybe it's because my kids' 1:10 trucks are relatively small so my E5 looks big ;-) Agree the length is smaller than the Granite's but width, wheelbase etc. is much closer. But I should stop because this here is about the Terminator and not the E5. And the Terminator indeed is more like a 1:12 than a "small 1:10", fully agree.
