I wish it wasn't the final product, but it sounds like it is, until they release a V2, 1.1 or whatever they decide to call it. I think it's a good first foray into 1/10th, I just wish they did a bit more r&d into the geometry of the truck. Looks fun for a budget 4s basher, but I'll wait for an upgrade before I bother with that.. good vid as always mate.
Well, that's why it's important to never pre-order 1st generation RC vehicles. While waiting is crappy, that's better than being stuck with an outdated model while the cool kids who waited until seeing reviews will get to buy a more refined product later on. I don't think MJX are gonna sleep on the V2. So many RCs coming out, MJX can't afford to let 6+ months go by before they update this truck. So much competition is going to force MJX to work fast on updating the issues the truck has.
@@Boogie_the_cat absolutely. Red cat,ftx and plenty of others are coming out with some great bashers at the moment. Will be interesting to see how they play it.
Maybe I will try 4s again nice run there. In minutes I ripped the pin on the sun gear all I did was the speed run and a coupe of jumps off my portable ramp nothing like what you did lol. Then when you try to open the center diff they used a ton of red loctite so be prepared to destroy the screws same with the center brace over use of blue loctite and possibly glue mine has some white residue on the brace. I told mjx the are sending me new parts and passed the info on for what they told me would be v2.
I know DO RC contacted MJX over the concerns as to whether there is going to be an upgraded version, offered to customers going forward. MJX reply was customers would be getting this same version as reviewers got. Suppose we will have to wait & see what comes.
And then there are other channels that claim customers will receive a completely different unit, that these v1 models are actually pre-production models and that MJX is changing the shock travel, ground clearance, arm length, etc... That is what I heard from a fella at the Arrma forums who reposted a large communication that was on the MJX forums, supposedly written by a guy deep in the know. So it's a lot of conflicting information, because a lot of people who got these units and are clearly in some sort of contact with MJX, they all say different things.
I also contacted MJX, but unfortunately I've had nothing but radio silence from them since. However, I have been in contact with the Australian distributor of MJX and he has spoken to MJX himself and they said that the shipment that is currently on the water making its way to Aus is the same as what I'm driving. So all the good and bad you're seeing in my videos is what you will buy. MJX have confirmed they are working on a V2, however, that will be released some time in the future and they have not given a timeline of when that will happen as of yet. So, who's right and who's wrong? No idea. We'll know once these trucks hit the shelves, I guess. 🤷
Awesome vid Vas. Looks like it's much better on 4s than the 3s...heavier battery seems to agree with it, suspension wise anyway. Power seems great too for a little MT. One huge pet hate for me though... when the tyres scrub on the body on throttle when turning...!!! Hopefully MJX listens to your ideas and improves the design... Looks like a tough winner if they do. Took some good hits.
Looks like a fun car. Body clip could have done with a secondary locking slider, running from side to side, would be less likely to throw the top then.
A lot of potential in this car hopefully the final product will have some improvements . The upgrades you suggested will make a big difference, let’s hope they listen. Great video had a lot of fun watching this one Vas . 👍.
I have a 3rd running video that will show how I widened the truck and it handles much better just by doing that. My next challenge is to find longer shocks and I'll bring it back out again for another rip. 😎
Having Blair under the truck when you jumped would have been a nice way to get some interesting jump angle footage. Variety is the spice of the spice traders doing the Kessel Run.
Well, the idea was to show just how big that jump is as Blair is a bit over 6 feet tall. It was a spontaneous decision and no thought was given to additional camera angles, but I may consider it next time. 😎
Unfortunately RC Carnage is no more. Most of the guys I did it with have either moved, got family commitments and some have even sold all their trucks. Even if I get a new group of people and start again, the dynamic will be different, the banter will be different and it will never be what it once was. Plus, the location we did it at has been destroyed by development and we would need to find a new spot, which is quite difficult to do, believe it or not. Really happy to hear you guys enjoy the old vids, but that was "lightning in a bottle" and I don't think I'll ever replicate that content again. 😎
It's funny you mention the RC Seed Week series, I've actually been thinking about it for a long time... I haven't done anymore vids on it because the thing I enjoyed most about it was having my son with me to help. He has his own life now and I can't bring him with me anymore, so I kinda stopped when he stopped being able to come with. I can keep doing them, but it'll just be with a GPS as I don't have anyone to hold the radar gun anymore. 😔 So not sure how good those vids would be...
This is apparently the final rendition for this version. Has anyone ordered one from Ali Express on the U.S. yet? I keep seeing then on there for $180-$190 with free shipping. If that's legit then it's a great truck for the money. Much more and just get the Omni Terminator or step up to a big box truck.
Yeah, that looks okay, but why run a 4s system that's the same speed as the competition's 3s units ? It seems like the classic AliExpress \ Banggood \ Amazon tactic of making the product look good on paper, and function okay in reality. Notice this is the first MJX vehicle to not list a top speed on the packaging. Probably because it only goes 1 MPH faster than their much cheaper 3s vehicles. I'm glad there's nore competition in the 10th scale arena, that's always a good thing. At the same time, i sure hope MJX improves their warranty service, which in my case, was non-existent. They claimed to have shipped out a part 7-8 weeks ago. Meanwhile, Arrma shipped my new receiver 2 day air mail. Warranty service is important (to me).
The speed thing is an interesting one and when I saw this was 4S, I immediately thought it was gonna be overkill, but not the case at all. Running 4S costs more and it's heavier, so unless you're going for speed or torque, there's no point in doing this setup. Especially when you consider how poorly setup the suspension is. So when you see that 4S in this truck is the equivalent speed (or slower) than other 3S trucks, it makes you wonder why they did it. Efficiency and cooler temps are the only other reasons I can see to go 4S here, but then there's 3 fans going full blast to keep temps at bay, so... 🤔 It's a bit of a head scratcher.
Awesome. waiting for mine to arrive hopefully soon.

Wheelie bars can be pricks at times.! 😉 😉 😂 😂
😂 Hate it when that happens. 😂
i am from Brasil and i will share your video ! in february i will buy a 1.10 hypergo and a 1.20 hypergo because you help me with ypour video
Nice 🤩👍🏻
Good videos!
When are you going to do some more Race Wars and RC Carnage? Really love those!😎🍻

For real
Oh yeah and I got the cf Omni . It’s a good truck imo . Makes me want to jump it right now 👍
I've got on due from AE - picked up for £140 delivered. It was 1 pence under the import taxes, phew! Due mid Aug so hopefully not v1.0 at least.
I got one for $144 to the USA, took a month to get it though
Tires and wider arms ?
👍
I do agree, seems really weak for 4s.
That rear diff looks like it needs thinning out and the front needs to be thickened
Yeah, that looks okay, but why run a 4s system that's the same speed as the competition's 3s units ?

How would you compare this to a Traxxas slash 4x4?
You wouldn't. Two very different cars at very different price points.
@@AussieRCPlayground I guess I will when they both arrive then
I just dont understand why the shocks are so short. And i bet the diff only has grease in it.
Correct, it does.
With they're prices hiking like these. When they make they're fist 8 scale they will cost something like 500$
