I love how all it took to expand the Witcher fanbase was with a Netflix show and a catchy song.

I agree with the comment that puts quotes around "all it took". The fan base expanded because the show was really good. If it was complete shit (like many adaptations) no one would give a shit about the franchise besides those who played the games and/or read the books like before.

Now THIS is a metal cover of Toss a Coin to your Witcher. The other ones I've seen are just the original song with an electric guitar and drums. Leo is goofy as heck and such a rad musician. Love it.

@@iamperplexed4695 A Blacksmith is a person who makes and repairs things in iron by hand. So this is a heavy metal version of a medieval song and a Blacksmith was somebody who dealt with iron in the medieval times which is a heavy metal.
This series is a total guilty pleasure for me. This scene set to this song gave me chills.

coachchris424 - it’s just way harder ,vocals music, the whole thing embodies what metal is regardless of sub-genre.
Metal is supposed to be powerful, hard and grungy. This is just my opinion of course but when I look at my metal collection of music this is in that category all day. It’s an amazing cover!

I could totally see Geralt confronting Leo in a tavern about impersonating him. They stare each other down for a few tense seconds... Leo reaches over his back, prompting Geralt to draw his sword; the tavern goes deathly quiet. Leo draws a guitar instead and starts shredding this song. Geralt leans back against the bar, watching impassively as Leo kills it. Geralt makes a trademark "hmmm" during a lull in the song. As Leo finishes, Geralt turns to Jaskier, "You're fired. This guy is my new bard." Next scene/show, Leo is MIA, Jaskier still tagging along with Geralt... "well sure maybe HE plays it better... but someone has to WRITE this stuff in the first place, right?" Geralt grunts a "hmmm", thinks for a moment, punches Jaskier, then continues on. For the rest of the show, Leo makes cameo appearances every few episodes.
