How To Get Rid Of Poison Ivy - Will Primos

Will Primos and his property manager Johnnie St. Clair talk Poison Ivy and how to get rid of Poison Ivy. The oil in Poison Ivy is called Urushiol. Once it makes contact with your skin it spreads with the oils in your skin. The two products that that we use to remove Poison Ivy oil are "Tecnu" and "Zanfel."
Tecnu will remove the Poison Ivy oil (urushiol) from tools and implements ensuring that you will not get poison ivy when you re-use tools.
If you get the Poison Ivy, the best product to use is called Zanfel. If you use Zanfel be sure to follow the directions. Once the Zanfel is activated it draws the Urushiol our of your skin and the poison rash will be gone.

For a less expensive method to help if you get exposed to poison ivy - try Fast Orange hand cleaner with pumice. Or any grease breaking hand cleaner with pumice. You don't have to rub really hard, just be very thorough.

Zanfel doesn't work on me ... I have tried this ...I had to get a shot and curtianly using dawn dish soap to shower 2 times a day but I have to use dawn dish soap to wash 3 times and 2 showers a day my skin is highly sensitive yet on meds also at the moment.. was hoping more of a better cure or old school of what to do at home to cure

No need to buy anything, any soap you got at home do the job... Just take a shower a soon as possible and scrub every thing that could have been in contact with the plant.

Does the Zanfel work after you break out w/ the poison ivy?

Reaction of the skin appear if the oil is on the skin 6h+ and it can take over 24h to start, nothing can cure it.

$38? Just mix dish soap 1:4 with mineral spirits or turpentine. Cut your fingernails and clean your nails with a it and a nail brush. In the shower or sink, start close to the core of your body washing to the tips your fingers/toes (depending where you might have been exposed). I keep a bottle near my kitchen sink and in the shower.

Use use that Tecnu first, than Ivarest topically until all the rash is gone. I’ve had to go to the doctor before, and got a steroid shot, bc i didn’t have those products then.
