I like that it's a full keyboard, and not a fashion victim mini-KB with barely anything more than letter keys. Like you need to save that bit of desktop space when you have it front of 34" monitor.
@@TerribleGamesTV2 You are unlikely to 34" monitor on a 15" wide desk. If you have room on your desk for a 34" monitor, you have loads of space for a full size KB.

just bought the k70 core today and I love this keyboard a lot the switches sound very nice the rgb on this keyboard looks clean I got mine for £60 and I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good keyboard under £100
I think by budget he means budget 'mechanical' keyboard, he should have made this more clear in the video. The K55 is Corsair's budget keyboard at £30-50 but isn't mechanical.
MY problem is the size. It is so small and the buttons seem SO small. I have pretty big hands/long fingers and I almost get cramps from how much I have to bend my fingers to type on this thing. I have it right here but I think I will return it.
had a flood localized to my room(broken pipe) and am researching replacement peripherals to get once insurance gets done paying me out in 30 years and this one caught my eye, and your review honestly sold me on it. had an original razer blackwidow and was extremely mixed on the thing in all the years I used it and this seems like a good replacement for that
As much as I despise the Razer ecosystem, the best keyboard I've ever used is still the original super heavy duty Black Widow with cherry blues. That thing was built like a tank, you could use it as a home defense item if you wanted to.
My only beef with this keyboard is the US style enter button, it's smoll. As I am used to a larger enter key, it is a bit difficult to type at the moment, but I'll get used to it. The feeling is night and day between this and my previous keyboard...
So i just updated a software of my k70 core, and then update stuck in a 100% mark. I unplug the keyboard. Then the rgb isn’t going on. I tried a factory reset with esc and fn+ecs, nothing helps and only four light bulbs are blinking. Help pls
Great review; if my current one breaks I'll be giving that a good look. One thing I may have missed you mention but it looks particularly easy to clean.
Holy moly. I never knew there was so much to a friggin keyboard. I purchased this because I wanted a keyboard that I could use while lying down at night with the lights turned off. I don't want flashing lights. I want one color, one light. It took forever to figure it out. I wonder how you young people can stand all those changing lights and not get a headache.
just paid $3.99 at the thrift store for this yesterday, I love how it feels to type on but i am more accustomed to clicky keys so it seems i end up hitting keys I dont intend to on accident, It sounds and feels amazing while typing.
waaay better than my k60 rgb pro that had chattering since day 2 and 'lower' profile keys that kept popping like flies and breaking, also sounds better
I’m only very amateur in terms of music production. I use Ableton occasionally but used to use Fruity Loops years ago at college. My specs are Ryzen 9 5900x, RTX 4070, 32GB ddr4 ram. I mainly just use my PC as an amp with Guitar Rig to save me buying loads of pedals 😂
I've owned many keyboards over the past 30 years. My current one is a CORSAIR K790 RGB Mk.2, and I love it. I recently added a CORSAIR iCUE NEXUS to make it even better. It allows me to monitor my PC status by simply looking at the keyboard. Though on the expensive side, I find NEXUS is a great addition to my keyboard and PC.
Unintended key entries? Isn't that more an issue of getting used to the keyboard? Just switched from a Logitech G213 Pro to the Corsair K70 Core, literally like yesterday from the moment of this typing, and I have my share of unintended keystrokes because I still has to become used to this new keyboard.
Let's be honest here. ICUE is far from ideal software. Also, you wasted your time telling viewers how ICUE can read temperatures and so on (those functions aren't related to the product), but instead, you could have demonstrated how to make a macro, different profiles and so on.
I think iCUE is really good, I use it extensively and have for years, so its been interesting to see it improve and expand. I dont agree on Mat 'wasting his time; - the temperature functions, especially with the new fans is a very useful feature as it can help you measure exhaust temps in your case - sure its not directly related to this product, but a lot of people dont actually know it exists.
watched the whole thing now. still dont think this is anything close to the high grade boards from keychron tbh. it looks like a good mass market offering, but those Keychron Q boards take some beating.
I think thats the case with most things we see reviewed - we cant really tell how headsets or mice sound or feel either. I think if we find a reviewer who seems to know what they are talking about and give over the good and bads things, we have to make our own call at the end of the day, if we should buy it. I tend to try amazon a lot for this stuff, as you have a 30 day return no questions asked option.
Cheap plastic hidden behind paint and an aluminum plate at an atrocious price. Just typical corsair brand marketing. Non detachable usb cable must have hinted at its cheapness.
Bit harsh. It’s not like it’s 200 quid. I don’t mind people having a pop at a brand for being lazy but after the max this seems like a massive step in right direction.
Out of the 7.. 8 K-series keyboards from Corsair I don't think a single one of them has had the at first white light, later RGB, last more than at the very best 2.5 years. Most started having dead LEDs, or dead colours, after about a year and a half. I liked the looks of them, but the QA is dreadful. Think I had free new replacement keyboards for some 5-6 years after the original K95 non-RGB purchase, due to the LEDs constantly dying. Might've been longer. I bought 2 or 3 of them, rest were replacements on top of replacements. Got money back from the original K95 non-RGB after the 3rd replacement, some 3 years later or so. Used that on buying the K95 RGB that had come out in the meantime. Replaced 3-4 of those as well, ended up with two of them. Eventually I was stupid enough to buy the K95 Platinum, might've been Black Friday or some such sale - after some ~2.5 years it started having failing/dead blue LEDs. That was my last one. Personally.. I'd recommend getting something else than Corsair keyboards. Though I suppose chances are that you keep getting new keyboards to replace your failing ones for, probably, years to come. Different computers, different USB ports, different homes. Before anyone blames that.
not sure where you get off putting that piece of junk above the max... I have both and the core just feels like a hunk of crap in comparison. could just be my preference though.
The sad thing is that "gaming mechanical keyboards" like this still exists. The price of Corsair keyboards is ridiculous considering you can get keyboards that are just as fast and half the price that are better in everyway.
