The fact that the keyboard was better stock than moded gives some props to Corsair, I honestly expected something way worse, but it is even better than the one from Razer and also $40 cheaper
Kind of subjective. There's way too many variables and things to alter with a keyboard to make it sound better or worse. Likely just a bad combo he used given how the keyboard is designed. The Durock Sea Salt switches are also horrible and do not sound good at all either.
personally I don't really agree, I think the Razer's orange switches are just the perfect switch and feel and sound nicer to my ears. I also really like the side-RGB, the volume roller/2 buttons (as opposed to just 1 knob), and the software is way nicer than Corsair's for the RGB. The only place the Razer loses, IMO, is the key layout -- not having a gap between the arrow keys and everything else takes some major getting used to. This Corsair board does 75% layout right. But, as always, 'which one is better' is almost entirely subjective. The only things that aren't subjective are scientifically measurable, objective black&white good&bad things (durability, switch latency, etc.)
as a brit i love knobs and im sure everyone here does. go into london pay a guy 20 quid in a dark alleyway to show his knob he'll happily show his "keyboard"
@@Snapback1881 Hey. I've had this keyboard since day one and it's still as great as the day I bought it. The only real issue I've stumbled upon was the battery indicator displaying a false battery percentage, my actual battery would be full, but the keyboard would show it as red (nearly drained), it took a long time but a firmware update eventually fixed this issue. sounds & feels great, huge recommend
I went to BestBuy and this was actually the best feeling keyboard out of all of them there, that's why I bought it. I've never owned a Corsair keyboard so I'm surprised in the video he says that Corsair isn't capable of making a good gaming keyboard. It's a really good keyboard. So accurate and smooth in the typing. It's really solid feeling and the keys hardly have any wiggle to them. Most enjoyable typing experience out of all keyboards I've owned. It's definitely in the upper bracket of keyboards and BestBuy has it on sale for 130 right now which puts it closer to the mid-tier keyboards. So if you want a high end keyboard for a good price, It'd be this one.
Same actually. I was surprised for a moment after testing all the boards because I wasn't even aware they made keyboards. But I've found it to be a really solid board. My only real complaint is that it sometimes eats keypresses when waking up on wireless, but I can live with that.
It's nice to see gaming keyboards slowly moving into the "at least acceptable" range. The value isn't there, and probably never will be, but it sure beats hardwired cables, terrible to open cases, and all the other crap, even from a repairability standpoint. Regarding northfacing LEDs, as far as I'm concerned, either go northfacing or don't bother. If you do care about RGB, and if you're buying a gaming keeb, you probably do, southfacing is terrible, because it doesn't work well with 99% of shine-through keycaps, and if you don't care, then having LEDs doesn't really matter at all.
Thank you for clearing this up i didnt understand what the benefit of south facing. Shine thru keycaps usually have a different sound so that will be affected if using shine through plus southfacing
@@JustMehChannel in a way they already exist. There are Womier XVX keycaps with side printed legends, but most people probably want to legend on top. In theory all that needs to be done is to move the legend a little bit lower. I suspect there is simply little demand for this.
@@JustMehChannel I think it's mostly a demand issue. Southfacing LEDs are pretty much exclusively used in the enthusiast market, where the worse RGB isn't much of a concern, and so the demand for shinethrough is quite low. On the flipside, shine through keycaps are primarily a gamer thing. Until the last year or two, there wasn't really much overlap between the two as gamer keebs weren't really customizable. That, and for anything doubleshot, you'd probably need entirely new molds, because you'd need to reposition the legend to the bottom of the keycap somewhere, which would definitely get expensive.
unpopular opinion here but I think north facing LED's look better, no bright spot at the bottom of the spacebar. plus I think the issue with those switches sounding glassy could be fixed by swapping the top housings for uhmwpe.
It's not unpopular. North facing sockets are just better looking in general and allows rgb to shine through the legends of the keycaps. The reason custom keyboard community prefers south facing is because of potential interference with cherry profile keycaps which is deemed as the better style of keycaps by the community so having north facing sockets mean that you're gonna be limited on the types of keycaps and/or switches you put on. Plus more premium keycaps don't even have shine through legends anyways and enthusiast don't really use rgb on their builds so the community just preferred having the compatibility of south facing sockets than rbg that they might not even be using.
As someone new to customizing keyboards, I saw this keyboard announced and was really looking forward to your review! I like using iCue as I've mostly used a Corsair keyboard on this setup... And this keyboard improves on the parts I didn't like about it! I know you can get cheaper keyboards with great features, but having a really good lighting setup is important for me as I do most of my typing/gaming at night. So, I'm glad they have the north facing lights since I would probably put my shine through keycaps on it.
Though I do agree, I thought the knob was going to have more flexibility and allow for macros. The features they show are great, but I would love more flexibility. I do a lot of art and 3D modeling, so macro setups would be handy!
I just got the "K70 Max RGB Magnetic Mechanical Corsair MGX" yesterday (At a 28% discount so still expensive). Im no keyboard enthusiast like you but i absolutely love it. I was hoping to find that keyboard on your channel since it would have been cool to hear the opinions of someone like you. But i get that it is basically impossible to review every keyboard out there. Anyways nice and informative video keep up the great work.
Howdy Hey Hipyo and frens! Just wanna thank you for all the great content you put out! You've helped me buildMod my own custon keyboard with the Morandi switches and I LOVE THEM IT! Thank you and I appreciate it!
Seeing how positive Hipyo was on this board (aside from the price) it does make me really interested to see what they'd do with one of their full size boards. I love my K95, especially for the macro keys, but I wish I could change switches without having to desolder each one individually.
Redragon has a new keyboard called the K673 Pro. It has foam, 3/5 pin switch compatibility, and gaskets. Checked all the boxes for me, ever since coming across this channel i've loved the hobby so getting the most affordable keyboard to build off of is important to me. Wish we saw more true budget builds on here and i know i'm not alone there. Got a keyboard, switches and keycaps all for under $100.
Omg dude I’m so glad you mentioned this here I was about to buy this Corsair board but I have a red dragon and I love it but wanted something with this profile and you just saved me all the extra cost cheers!
I love this board it's the perfect lay out I'm a dude who cared heavily about custom boards but with life raming up and adult hood starting to really prioritize my time. This board is perfect for the average person like me who like gaming on the couch or at a desk. The wireless capabilities are super useful and it's awesome for a mobile gaming set up with phone dock with an HDMI out and USB hubs. If you try that I suggest streaming games from your PC via moonlight even over hotel wifi at 1080p I can stream 60fps games with noticable but very very manageable latency and that coming from and old cs:go try hard
North vs South switches is a PITA. We need the north for Shine through, for gaming in a dark room - its a NEEDED function. If they are south, there are some side-see-through keycaps that look nice. But nobody makes XDA, MDA, CSA, DSA or other SA variants that are shine-through. We could REALLY use that! Have the comfort of of spherical caps with shine through legends. Only see through XDA I see are pudding or low-profile. Without the shine through, the keycaps just turn into black squares in a very dark room.
@@kerfuritogonzales Eye strain does not injure the eye and does not cause permanent damage, most people play in dark rooms. Doesn't mean pitch black. Gaming or casual lighting, having the light only coming around the keycaps makes the legends harder to see. Shine thru is needed for RGB keyboard. The issue I stated is valid. Hundreds of OEM options. Many more cherry profile ones for unlit keys. We need more options for sphere shaped keycaps
P.S. Brands charging huge markups for... The brand name... Tale as old as modern capitalism I suppose. They spend so much on marketing they have to charge more for the product. Plus execs gotta get cushy bonuses. That's why enthusiasts know better. Thanks for not shilling.
I have bought this keyboard as a french ISO keyboard (very rare to find out of the box), for someone who isn't willing to spend an absolute ton this keyboard feels and sounds amazing. Definitely recommend
Definitely going to keep an eye out for a sale on this. My partner uses a Corsair mouse and it would be nice to keep all the software the same when my old Corsair keyboard she's been using wears out. Thanks for taking Corsairs money and making a very informative video!
You have poison dart frogs?! We need more appearances from those little guys. Also this may not be a stunning review, but it's nice to see the major gaming keeb names actually taking notes and recognizing they need to make a quality product
You mentioned during the video, multiple times at that, that you can find similar keyboards for around 70 usd. Can you please tell me about some keyboards with 2.4 wireless and multi bluetooth connection for that price?
Honestly looks like a rebranded RK75. The status lights and north facing LEDs are a huge giveaway. That's an insane $90 markup for the Corsair branding.
Just picked one up on sale for 110, I feel very happy at that price point. The quality of the RGB and the sound and feel straight out of the box is what won me over, specifically. My preference is a low profile key cap aesthetically I just like them more but this keyboard still looks quite nice. I ordered some shine through pudding style caps for it, so hopefully that will make a difference in a good direction.
I just recently modded a K65 Pro Mini. Came with 2 layers of foam so all i had to do was tune stabs and lube switches. Sounds and feels great. Also runs at 8000hz.
Commenting for an ISO boards video until Hipyo acknowledges the world contains countries other than USA Love your videos though - just wish there was more about good ISO boards as it only seems to be Keychron Q1 and Monsgooek M1 😭
What is the best 75% keyboard you can recommend to someone on budget of 150 euros? I am typing this on a belle delphine keyboard atm. Had a corsair k70 before this one and this already feels like a upgrade. Please let me know what keyboard will blow my mind. Would like a keyboard that has arrows which my keyboard does not have atm. Would really like a aluminium case because that feels premium and the option to skip songs on spotify etc. The belle delphine keyboard feels really nice to me but I want it to keep very nicely so will put it back in the box after a while for collector reasons
Ended up getting rainy75 through aliexpres. Was a little bit more expensive but I didnt have to wait for another production. Best keyboard I've ever used
Whoa! Did you know that Hipyo Tech is also McTile in Runescape?! (I watched that exact video earlier today, only reason I recognized it. Love your stuff Hipyo!)
I love my K70 Max. Protip on "zooming": If you hold down the CTRL button and wheel up or down it will zoom in and out of websites... the ctrl+mousewheel zoom is a feature on basically every microsoft product as well as most image editing programs. When image editing ctrl+wheel up/down will zoom into or out from your mouse location. You're welcome.
Great review. I do love custom keyboards but I hate south facing RGB. Every comment I've seen here seems to agree. North-facing has a purpose. South-facing is mostly pretty lights. I like being able to see the keycap legends if i want to dim the room lights. I've looked and there are few if any good options for south-facing RGB. I've one of the newer corsair K70 keyboards and it's actually pretty good, though pricy. Double-shot keycaps, foam, Aluminum frame (plastic bottom).. Not gasket mounted, but it sounds good and feels good typing on it.
I'm looking at this as babys first custom keyboard, and mainly and solely on the corsair warranty. Something goes wrong with it (like what has happened with friends of mine and I'm not good enough to solder like they do), I just ship it back and get an RMA. the less worry is honestly worth a bit of the price overage, but it def seems more like a buy on a good sale than buy right now thing.
I guess buying drop paid off lol edit: would also love it if you did some simple lag/click delay testing on these. Part of the reason why these keyboards are "gamery" is the low latency people expect.
Thanks for all the cool videos. I like my old keyboards from the G3 mac and IBM. The new keyboards are pretty amazing. My kid's gaming rig is pretty cool but I didn't spring for a decent keyboard and he has worn it out. I appreciate the detail you go into on the new stuff. I am aiming towards the keychron with gateron g pro 2 white to kinda match the weight of his current system. no idea on caps yet but I like the GMK stuff. seems like solid quality injection molding. anyway, you rock. keep up the good work. (greetings from MT)
Great video as usual. Have you heard of the Boog75? It's one of the keyboards with Hall Effect switches for gaming, but also catered towards enthusiasts because of how premium the build quality and sound profile is. I would love it if you could do a review on it!
I don't think big gaming brands will ever have the price vs value, but I am glad to see they are making improvements. Especially Corsair. I had an old Corsair K70 Keyboard for nearly 10 years. It finally died this year. And the prices on all the gaming keyboards being insanely overpriced for what they offered. I started researching alternatives and that is how I ended up here watching your channel. And ultimately built my first keyboard. Though coming as a gamer that didn't know much about keyboards prior to this year, I would have easily bought something like this keyboard if it was an option at the time. I kind of expect gamer keyboards to have a price mark up especially from the big name brands.
Benefit for getting this keyboard. 1. Easy to get and warrant if it breaks 2. Reliable good performing wireless 3. Goes on sale definitely sooner rather than later
I don't agree. Corsair at least supports every single layout on the planet, contrary to "custom" keyboards, which offer billions of options on 2 total layouts. Custom keyboards are a pretty much US only market. Not to mention the premium warranty: Corsair has NEVER left me alone when I needed some sort of assistance, contrary to other manufacturers. For me, those "extra" 60 dollars are justified.
I admit it. Please dont judhe me. I was totally intending on just finally biting the bullet and going through the headache of finding everything i wanted and finally building the end keeb. But, while i was at best buy and shopping for some other stuff, i noticed they had this bad boy oon display to try, and i tried it, and I GAVE IN AND TOOK THE EASY WAY OUT. I GOT THIS KEYBOARD
hey Hipyo, i recently bought a very cheap mechanical keyboard (magegee star 75). I want some ideas to upgrade it in to a premium level keyboard. its a soldered keyboard with north facing led, it is a wired keyboard with detachable type-c out form keyboard as well. oh ot has a knob as well.
I think you should make a "I compared all the big gaming keyboards so you dont have to" video. It'd almost definitely perform REALLY well in the algorithm. You could start out by comparing the biggest names' best keyboards (razer, rog, corsair etc) -- and then go on to cover the Wooting (and any personal nongamer favorites with OK RGB) , to help bring awareness about it to the mainstream gamers that click over. also: congrats on hitting 1 million subs
Amazing how much better it looks with those other keycaps. At some point gaming brands are going to get a hold of a gmk67 and slap some branding on it, sell it for $90 and make all of the money.
I can't believe Hypio never made a video about the budgetest gaming hotswap keyboard, the evga z15, that goes for less than 50$ and is fullsize with knob
Hipyo, I feel like you really need to try the Leobog Hi75. It might just be the best sounding board straight out of the box that I've ever used. I don't know what they've done. It feels almost the same as my Skyloong GK75 but for some reason the sopunds is just a whole new level.
Mine didn’t sound like that at all, felt terrible and pingy and lost connection frequently. Instantly went back, but hoping Corsair starts moving towards making their bigger keyboards hot-swappable and with Mac mode because my K95 is not getting replaced until that happens! Everything else runs iCue, we’ve had our issues but it’s gotten to a solid state!
i am very much enjoying your channel xD i just deep cleaned my gmmk pro 100% keyboard idk if its pro or 2 or idk. never really looked into it. back in the day i wanted a keyboard that feels sturdy and gives me the option to swap switches, i just changed to changed to brown gateron switches and i love the sound but i am hearing some kind of a high "ding" sound on some key when i let them spring back up. also all the key that have extra stabilizers sound really bad. hopefully i can figure out what i have to do to make it better haha :D
Bought a blackwidow V4 75%. It lasted one month before double, triple and quadrouple inputs started. Fighting with them to get my money back currrently. My K65 Plus 75% and the replaceement shinethrough keycaps shippeed today. Planning on putting holy pandas in it and calling it a day
@@FreshApplePie razer are offering me a new keyboard, but the reviews on the V4 75% are flooded with people having the same experience as me. There's clearly some sort of issue on razers end, I'm just not sure if it's the PCB or the switches. Either way, the way they've been handling it has been ridiculous. Their customer support is just about useless.
@@1GTRacing1 might be the switches, I swapped out all the orange tactile for ws morandis and I haven't had a single issue, so that's interesting, I remember thinking the orange switches were decent but I preferred linear that said anyone who has a problem is likely to be vocal about it, I do hope you get your keyboard situation sorted out and hopefully you get your money back if you don't want to deal with them anymore, but as for me I've been having a good experience
@@FreshApplePie I've been having a nightmare dealing with razer. But oh well. New keyboard should be here today. Got the new Corsair 75%, holy panda x switches, and shine through keycaps.
This is an excellent review overall. Still, I think you are missing something here. On the wireless implementation, minor improvements in latency, reliability and convivence can be worth a premium. Corsair slipstream is one of the best 2.4Ghz wireless implementations on the market, its ultra-low latency (critical for competitive gaming), it's reliable and stable, and it allows you to use multiple Corsair devices on a single USB receiver. $160 - I'd say it's actually value for money when you consider that they actually put all of that into a grown-up keyboard that doesn't suck to type on, it's a grown-up gamer wireless keyboard. The only reason Corsair didn't try to squeeze more out of it is because they don't quite have the market goodwill of Logitech and Razer after a few years of pretty uninspiring product in the PC peripheral space. This should be a hit.
I got a Keychron V1 Max with gateron jupiter banana switches and its realy good for the price. It has VIA, south-facing LEDs, gasket mount (not great but at least something), two USB dongles, and doubleshot PBT keycaps. I don't see a reason to get this one.
You should try the Corsair PBT double shot keycap set. They seem to be good quality, they are available in a bunch of different nice colours and they only cost around 25 bucks. This sounds like a pretty good deal to me. And they are shine through!!
been seeing this for a long time and it honestly just blows my mind, surely using a polycarbonate or polypropylene plate (same plastic as a lot of tupperware) would be both cheaper and sound better to most people buying these keyboards, and it would give a softer bottom out. I don’t know if there’s some assumption that the weight gain or rigidity from steel plates is more premium, but we should let that die in my opinion.
Overall it's a nice looking keyboard. From afar it even looks truly premium. Which is a good step forward overall for Corsair. It just means more choices for custom mech mech keyboard users. It helps to keep prices competitive too.
@hipyo, I was going to ask if the Epomaker manufactured their own keyboards to suggest a reason for the price difference, but Corsair's is pretty much a clone of other keyboards out there. You'd think that would cut back on some of the Non-recoverable expenses like the tooling used for the plates, and other parts.
Just a note, you didn't turn on or turned off aliasing for the screen recording clips. Look at how the edges of the text appear to be moving, same with the knob picture in the software.
I'm sorry to say that I love this keyboard, it sounds great and, despite being made of plastic, it feels very solid and premium. Plus, it makes a perfect color combo with my Logi MX Master 3S. Thanks
I've enjoyed my Nuphy field 75. Its a unique looking keyboard, with a nob that is 100% unique, has 8 customizable buttons, and great switches that thock. I'd love to see what you can do with it :)
This is the kind of keyboard I would recommend to an aunt to get for their gamer child for Christmas. Its easy to find any buy and they should be able to exchange it at a physical location. The price would be the issue.
Cherry profile keycaps were designed to fit on south-facing switches. When you have north-facing LEDs, that usually means the switches need to be inserted upside-down. This could cause interference because the roof of the keycap prematurely hits the top of the switch housing before the switch can fully bottom out.
Steel Series and later Corsair keyboards are who I recommend to my gamer friends that don't want me to build them a keyboard. I even use a Steel Series Apex 7 as my travel/backup keyboard, and I personally like their quality. If you can get them on sale.
I love this keyboard except for the keycaps. If this was a gaming keyboard, don't you think that most of gamers would be playing in a fairly dark environment? Why isn't there backlit keycaps? It's hard to see the character on the keycap with the backlight on especially the ones with the shortcuts printed on the keycap. I've looked into replacing the keycap for the backlit one but there are some non-standard sized keys such as ALT FN CTRL on the right side of the keyboard.
I had this keyboard for a few weeks now so can share my experience. I have replaced the keycaps using Corsair keycaps mod kit (Elgato Blue) and it works well except for these five keycaps - Right Alt, FN, Right Ctrl, Right Shift, and Delete. The light grey on blue keycaps makes it hard to see to the letter without the backlight on. The Delete keycap on the back row is deeper so need a higher profile keycaps, which the mod kit doesn't have. Also note that chaning out the stock keycaps for the mod keycaps means losing visual printout showing the additional function that the same key (e.g. pressing FN+O will give you access to Scroll Lock) can do when pairing with the FN key. You'll need to come up with your own reference chart to remember where these function keys are. The red MX switches that came with the keyboard felt a bit too soft for my taste so would prefer to try a different set of switch. This keyboard support wired, USB wireless, and multi-device Bluetooth up to three devices is awesome. Switching out I often use the dial at the top right corner to turn on the backlight and for adjusting the backlight brightness. All-in-all I think this keyboard is a 85/100 except for a few things noted above.
Wait how is 160 a bad value? Every cheap enthusiast board I can find where I live easily reach that price point, and since there basically are no options for parts other than importing them, taxes will make the price skyrocket even by buying separate parts. I'd be really happy to get a functional wireless keyboard for around that price.
Likely pricing was based on what Glorious - GMMK PRO is selling for same price bare, so figured people would look at the 2 of them in best buy and choose one with switches already on it. Pretty sure Corsair don't even consider non retail store brands pricing, just stuff between major brands will find in box stores.
My last 3 keyboards over the year, two were razor and this current one is corsair, all have ended up with key chattering issues. Idk how to solve them and I tend to end up buying new keyboards instead. I tried to see if your channel had anything about that but I couldn't find anything. Is there a way to resolve them or am I stuck just shopping around for keyboards until I find a brand that eventually doesn't suffer. At the least the budget ones you recommend are a more acceptable price to test them out. Its funny because I came here due to the water bottle video and now I see potential options for my keyboard issues so thanks.
Hi hipyo. i found this VGN N75 pro keyboard and hoping that you can make a review on it, because it's a budget keyboard and i heard that it's already sounds really thocky out of the box. thanks
I'd love to see you check out the Cloud Nine, (Cloud9) ergo mechanical keyboards. I own two, have modded them both, use them daily and love them. I'd love to get your take on their keyboards. As far as their software and firmware it kinda lacks now... I have the older versions and they're both WAY better. I just wish I could find good key caps for them...
It'd be cool fo you to have a look at some of the poopular choices from around 2014 or so, I still love my Filco Majestouch 2 and use it daily, there's also Ducky and other brands I don't see mentioned a lot anymore.
do you have any suggestions for "floating keys" keyboards that are good for diy? Only seeing the drop ctrl alt shift, gmmk2, and the portable low profile keychrons

Shine thru keycaps usually have a different sound so that will be affected if using shine through plus southfacing
i always wonder, is it so hard to make a keycap set that is shine through and compatible with south facing LEDs? why has nobody done that yet
Not to mention South facing glare into your eyes in a dark room.
That, and for anything doubleshot, you'd probably need entirely new molds, because you'd need to reposition the legend to the bottom of the keycap somewhere, which would definitely get expensive.
yeaaaa! new vid! (and congrats for 935k! 🎉)
935k*
yea i fixed it thx
unpopular opinion here but I think north facing LED's look better, no bright spot at the bottom of the spacebar.
plus I think the issue with those switches sounding glassy could be fixed by swapping the top housings for uhmwpe.
@@HonneylemzI use front legends caps.. I really prefer south facing led because I do prefer the blank top or graphic top with front legends.
Since you tried to air up, you have to try MrBeast version of that
Corsair.... The only place where you should buy gaming pc parts, not keyboards
Nah they make other good things not only PC parts

Howdy Hey Hipyo and frens! Just wanna thank you for all the great content you put out! You've helped me buildMod my own custon keyboard with the Morandi switches and I LOVE THEM IT! Thank you and I appreciate it!
mcnaldos: i like the it
Seeing how positive Hipyo was on this board (aside from the price) it does make me really interested to see what they'd do with one of their full size boards.
Ayy McTile in the background - shoutout the legend Settled!
Gaming in a dark room is really bad for your eyes, just saying
@@kerfuritogonzales Eye strain does not injure the eye and does not cause permanent damage, most people play in dark rooms. Doesn't mean pitch black.
Gaming or casual lighting, having the light only coming around the keycaps makes the legends harder to see. Shine thru is needed for RGB keyboard.
The issue I stated is valid.
Hundreds of OEM options. Many more cherry profile ones for unlit keys. We need more options for sphere shaped keycaps
Nice review! This video seemed a bit quieter than usual. It definitely wasn't too quiet, but quieter than most RUclips vids. Just thought I'd mention.
Hipyo, you should totally try the Royal Kludge R65, it's a really good budget keyboard :)
Got one on sale for $120
Love it!
I can't believe we live in the universe where corsair and razer are making keyboards like this
Definitely going to keep an eye out for a sale on this.
Would love a look on the steelseries ones! Apperantly the Apex 9 line up are hot swappable and have a aluminium base.
I'm pretty sure the apex 9's are optical, not mechanical
You mentioned during the video, multiple times at that, that you can find similar keyboards for around 70 usd. Can you please tell me about some keyboards with 2.4 wireless and multi bluetooth connection for that price?
I want a corsair mouse with that classic m65 design with modern specs and sensibilities.
Yeah bc if you have any peripheral you want a .13ms response time...its definitely the keyboard 😅
Commenting for an ISO boards video until Hipyo acknowledges the world contains countries other than USA
Love your videos though - just wish there was more about good ISO boards as it only seems to be Keychron Q1 and Monsgooek M1 😭
I got mine for $120. Don't think there's another keyboard in that price range that has the same feature set.
The sound from the stock is way better. it's not hindered
you should try the epomaker aula f75 with the reaper switch. it is a super good budget keyboard:)(:
Zoom: ctrl-mouse wheel.
Zoom reset: ctrl-0.
V-scroll: mouse wheel.
H-scroll: shift-mouse wheel
Volume and brightness might be useful.
I guess buying drop paid off lol
edit: would also love it if you did some simple lag/click delay testing on these. Part of the reason why these keyboards are "gamery" is the low latency people expect.
still mad that drop stopped selling watches
Thanks for all the cool videos. I like my old keyboards from the G3 mac and IBM. The new keyboards are pretty amazing. My kid's gaming rig is pretty cool but I didn't spring for a decent keyboard and he has worn it out. I appreciate the detail you go into on the new stuff. I am aiming towards the keychron with gateron g pro 2 white to kinda match the weight of his current system. no idea on caps yet but I like the GMK stuff. seems like solid quality injection molding. anyway, you rock. keep up the good work. (greetings from MT)
I had faith in them since their first keyboard, I knew they'd start learning more
Great video as usual. Have you heard of the Boog75? It's one of the keyboards with Hall Effect switches for gaming, but also catered towards enthusiasts because of how premium the build quality and sound profile is.
I would love it if you could do a review on it!
Yes I have one! Not sure if I can get a vid out on It before the sale ends
Got this at $100 on a crazy sale, very happy with it!
Benefit for getting this keyboard.
1. Easy to get and warrant if it breaks
2. Reliable good performing wireless
3. Goes on sale definitely sooner rather than later
I was ready to talk shit about a sponsored review. He proved me wrong. Respect.
Hi Hipyo Tech, can you please review the Boyi TK 96 ?
If you can find that Corsair K75 plus keyboard on sale, then it’s worth it in my opinion, especially if you aren’t too into building keyboards.
Seen it on sale for like $130 now or so…
my man in the wildy fighting crazy archeologist while not looking at the screen. insane
Everything else runs iCue, we’ve had our issues but it’s gotten to a solid state!
i am very much enjoying your channel xD i just deep cleaned my gmmk pro 100% keyboard idk if its pro or 2 or idk. never really looked into it. back in the day i wanted a keyboard that feels sturdy and gives me the option to swap switches,
i just changed to changed to brown gateron switches and i love the sound but i am hearing some kind of a high "ding" sound on some key when i let them spring back up. also all the key that have extra stabilizers sound really bad.
hopefully i can figure out what i have to do to make it better haha :D
pls review the sharkoon skiller sgk 50 s3. Its so cheap and i really wanna see how good it is
Hey Hipyo! Looking forward to your review on the Epomaker x Leobog Hi75, hopefully coming soon.
Bought a blackwidow V4 75%. It lasted one month before double, triple and quadrouple inputs started. Fighting with them to get my money back currrently. My K65 Plus 75% and the replaceement shinethrough keycaps shippeed today. Planning on putting holy pandas in it and calling it a day
I've had one of these for 5 months and I have no such problems, shouldn't it still be within warranty?
@@FreshApplePie razer are offering me a new keyboard, but the reviews on the V4 75% are flooded with people having the same experience as me. There's clearly some sort of issue on razers end, I'm just not sure if it's the PCB or the switches. Either way, the way they've been handling it has been ridiculous. Their customer support is just about useless.
@@1GTRacing1 might be the switches, I swapped out all the orange tactile for ws morandis and I haven't had a single issue, so that's interesting, I remember thinking the orange switches were decent but I preferred linear

I don't see a reason to get this one.
love your reviews
shot out to the runescape video going on the in beginning. settled is an amazing creator
I think a lot of gaming companies do it because of durability - they have much stricter QC than your avg enthusiast companies
@@HipyoTechFair point, definitely not something I'd considered! Appreciate the reply!
Overall it's a nice looking keyboard. From afar it even looks truly premium. Which is a good step forward overall for Corsair. It just means more choices for custom mech mech keyboard users. It helps to keep prices competitive too.
Hipyo your channel is about to blow tf up bc Hasan piker just watched one of your videos on stream so congratulations my guy 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Here for th Air Up, staying for MOAR Keyboards!
Question: What's the difference between northfacing LEDs and southfacing LEDs and why ppl hate or don't like the northfacing LEDs ?
Switching out
I often use the dial at the top right corner to turn on the backlight and for adjusting the backlight brightness. All-in-all I think this keyboard is a 85/100 except for a few things noted above.
i actually have this and it’s truly not bad for corsair sounds descent pretty good
cool vid. now try the tecware phantom 87+(I'm done asking politly this is a command)
What about the latency of a custom keyboard? Especially wireless?
I just wish I could find good key caps for them...
keep in mind that Corsair purchased Drop. so im sure they have access to the manufacturing side - they have no rush at all
