I think because OP decreased the price of one plus 7t as compared to 7 pro That's the main reason I think At 38k we getting rog 2 and at 40k we are getting 7t (8gb version)
You all totally getting wrong image of 120 Hz display. It's fast but also readable when scrolling. That's the main difference between 120 Hz vs 60 Hz. 120 Hz means 120 frames per second. Chances of your eye catching a frame from 120 is greater than 60 .
This phone has a lot features that most flagship don't have or remove, led notification, headphone jack, dual front facing speakers, long batter life, 120hz refresh rate. Awesome and in depth review 👍
Oxygen os is not special bro. Everyone has their choices, like miui has many practical features but ads, zenui has nice things too. Best how ever, is stock android, or Android one. Pure. Google. Experience.
Dear Ranjit, I have purchased Asus Rog Phone II in the month of Jan '20, since then I have been using two SIM cards, JIO & VODAFONE. I became a big fan of the feature "Use Mobile data for VoLTE calls via Secondary SIM", though I had a combination of VoLTE 4G+ Advanced LTE on Jio and just 4G on Vodafone in my circle, with the data enabled on Jio in SIM 1 slot. When I used to make calls using the non data enabled SIM which is Vodafone, automatically it used to switch the data to onto Vodafone 4G with a H or H+ symbol. This feature worked fine until I received Android 10 update on the phone, since the update version: 17.0240.2004.9 and version before that with Android 10, this data switch feature stopped working irrespective of location where I am taking calls. More over, I have been having serious issues on Vodafone number, I do not get the calls. It appears to be switched Off most of the time unless I switch the data to Vodafone. I have contacted Vodafone carrier, raised a complain which went until porting to Airtel with a last minute cancellation with assurances given by Vodafone, They have replaced the SIM card 3 times, changed the plan and also got my number re-activated as a fresh customer. Nothing worked. This issue started only after the Android 10 update, where in I started to have issues with Incoming calls on vodafone though I have the network it appears as switched off and also the feature "Use Mobile data for VoLTE calls via secondary SIM" which used to work with a combo of VoLTE 4G+ Advanced LTE on Jio and just 4G on Vodafone, data switching stopped working. Kindly suggest on these two issues. I have performed Network reset and restored the phone as well to factory defaults. Regards, Ashwin

Will say OnePlus 7t and this are equal but for different user OnePlus that make it better better updates ,camera, design (many will like tear drop over full small bezel), charging Speed, software,more minimal. Rog:- performance, screen response, speaker, gaming focus,cool features are more, battery life. So both are good but for different users
Because we can get to know how a good network reception when signals are weak . That's why it's good for us so we can get to know how network reception is good in that particular phone.
The Asus ROG Phone 2 is a great device. Screen, sound, air triggers, haptics are all superb. As you mention, the haptics are the best on the Android side I’ve experienced. Not iPhone 11 level, but darned good. I used aptX HD. Forgot to test LDAC, but I seem to recall it being listed. Sadly, here in the USA, Asus disables VoLTE and VoWifi. Shame. Great FAQ! Sir can you please suggest "every" famous smartphone company like Samsung , Nokia, Xiaomi, realme, Huawei, Lg , Motorola , oppo vivo..... to produce "some" "Very Compact Size" smartphone with a "POWERFUL PROCESSER" at least like Snapdragon 625. @@daniel14871 yes but with small screen and better optimization we can expect better battery backup. If we consider redmi 7a it has 4000mah battery even though it is 5.4inch that means it can be managed put at least 3000-3500mah in all compact phones.

Well there is one difference which you missed here Ranjit i.e Between 8gb & 12gb variant ... i.e on 8GB Rog 2 has -> 4G LTE Cat-16 150Mbps UL , 1.0Gbps Dl & on wifi it has 802.11ac, 2x2 MIMO , whereas 12GB Rog 2 has -> 4G LTE Cat-18 211Mbps Ul , 1.2 Gbps Dl & on wifi it has 802.11ad, 4x4 MIMO

Also Rog 2 has ufs 3.0 ( highest memory speed available currently for android device ) + 855 clocked at 2.96ghz + gpu also oc d so , it doesn't matter whichever you buy you will get the top power anyway

I wish he did some more research about ROG phone 1, so he knows what Asus says and what actually does. For example in when android 10 comes soon: Asus ROG 1 also had "soon" android pie, then made a comment it will come in Q3 (which ends in few days) and suddenly on forum they said they don't know when anymore.. So whatever Asus says is sometimes not relevant at all.
That's why they don't have confidence to have more stocks always out of stock..people should do a research by them self first and these reviews though they know issues they are like advertising companies now a days they don't point such things...

Camera is better on oneplus 7t. Software too is it's biggest forté. Asus is a great smartphone. but not an all rounder. cameras don't have eis or ois support. Image processing is far better on oneplus. I too am confused between the two. I have to buy one.
Dude tbh oxygen os is currently overrated. It's good but it isn't anything to be compared upon. Further even Asus phones now have a really really close to stock OS and they do provide good software support too

asus are well known in ruining up the things, max pro m1 had widevine support L1 and they removed it in one of the patch update and again restored, so the question like these are critical

Ranjit sir pls answer this in full review - 1) Im an 6z user, as the phone is very practical which u have said in faq, upgrading from 6z to rog makes any sense? same ui na 2) Because of top and bottom bezels for speakers, are u missing edge to edge display these days? 3) And regarding the price will it change after Big billion days?
Upgrading from 6z to rog2 won't make any sense as both come with approximately same chip .. but if you get good resale value for 6z then Rog2 would be a wonderful device ! Yeah i think u could miss edge to edge display after upgrading but u get used to rog 2 since it had 120hz display I think their pricing depends upon other device launches!
The vents and the ports are sensitive bro! Won't survive water test! Normal water drops on screen is okay but it will take damage with full submersion.
OnePlus is better than this in all aspects. Because OnePlus provides regular security patch and 2 year android updates . Asus rog 1 still didn't get android pie. But my OnePlus 5t got pie last year.

Hi sir! I have questions and I hope you can answer it all because I am planning to buy ROG2. I am a gamer and I hate my phone because it lags. 1. Is there really a huge difference when using the Aerocooler? Because some say its useless as it still overly heats. That is actually one of the reason why I would like to buy 12GB because of the Aerocooler since 8gb dont have that. 2. Can the gamepad of it be bought separately and for how much? Go for ROG 2 becouse it is the only phone that can handle pubg at max settings at 120fps. The iPhone while having a better processor(but seriously the difference isn't noticable because there aren't any games as of now that are intensive enough to take full advantage of the a13 and to show the power difference between the 855+ and the a13) lacks in ram and 120hz display (not to mention it's 720p on a 65k phone which is absolutely ridiculous) and battery life is also much better

The Asus ROG Phone 2 is a great device. Screen, sound, air triggers, haptics are all superb. As you mention, the haptics are the best on the Android side I’ve experienced. Not iPhone 11 level, but darned good.
I used aptX HD. Forgot to test LDAC, but I seem to recall it being listed.
Sadly, here in the USA, Asus disables VoLTE and VoWifi.

Well there is one difference which you missed here Ranjit i.e Between 8gb & 12gb variant ... i.e on 8GB Rog 2 has -> 4G LTE Cat-16 150Mbps UL , 1.0Gbps Dl & on wifi it has 802.11ac, 2x2 MIMO , whereas 12GB Rog 2 has -> 4G LTE Cat-18 211Mbps Ul , 1.2 Gbps Dl & on wifi it has 802.11ad, 4x4 MIMO

Also Rog 2 has ufs 3.0 ( highest memory speed available currently for android device ) + 855 clocked at 2.96ghz + gpu also oc d so , it doesn't matter whichever you buy you will get the top power anyway

I wish he did some more research about ROG phone 1, so he knows what Asus says and what actually does. For example in when android 10 comes soon: Asus ROG 1 also had "soon" android pie, then made a comment it will come in Q3 (which ends in few days) and suddenly on forum they said they don't know when anymore..
So whatever Asus says is sometimes not relevant at all.
That's why they don't have confidence to have more stocks always out of stock..people should do a research by them self first and these reviews though they know issues they are like advertising companies now a days they don't point such things...

Camera is better on oneplus 7t. Software too is it's biggest forté. Asus is a great smartphone. but not an all rounder. cameras don't have eis or ois support. Image processing is far better on oneplus. I too am confused between the two. I have to buy one.

It's good but it isn't anything to be compared upon. Further even Asus phones now have a really really close to stock OS and they do provide good software support too

OnePlus is better than this in all aspects. Because OnePlus provides regular security patch and 2 year android updates . Asus rog 1 still didn't get android pie. But my OnePlus 5t got pie last year.

Go for ROG 2 becouse it is the only phone that can handle pubg at max settings at 120fps. The iPhone while having a better processor(but seriously the difference isn't noticable because there aren't any games as of now that are intensive enough to take full advantage of the a13 and to show the power difference between the 855+ and the a13) lacks in ram and 120hz display (not to mention it's 720p on a 65k phone which is absolutely ridiculous) and battery life is also much better
