The best of three worlds
It is past gas?
I guess it's kinda randomly asking but do anybody know of a good place to watch newly released movies online?
@Carlos Enrique I watch on FlixZone. Just search on google for it :)
@Samuel Kevin yup, I've been watching on FlixZone for since march myself :D
Joe: shut up stop saying yeah.
Nolan: ready to get started?
Joe:yeah...
This hat situation is unsettling, like a forehead window
pretty sure that was intentional lmao
who needs eyebrows
deeply troubling
Crazy eyes with the pointy teeth dudes creepy lookin
@@benpropper6577 yes he is
James is a great host because he always backs up his co hosts.
I think its part of his stage training from UCB. Always say yes to an idea presented by one of the other actors on stage. Run with it and see where it goes.
I really respect that.
You guys should do a podcast on Group B
Y’all are the shit and make incredible content, don’t give up on this. You guys are definitely keeping car culture in millennials alive 🙌🏽
Past gas is starting to feel more and more like the adult swim of donut media
These guys should advertise this on donut media.
They do
The ball hair trimmer?
I wish y'all added pictures of every car y'all talked about
Looking at the thumbnail it is amazing how similar they look. You could basically put a Golf in Photoshop and drag the top, most rearward corner of the back window down and back and extend the wheelbase and it would look like a Delorean.
The mk1 golf should be on every petrol heads bucket list of cars. They produced the mk1 golf here in South Africa until 2008 i think. I owned a 350z and a mk1 golf last year. Now driving a nissan pickup
My favorite episode ever
I wish so badly that they could bring back this level of video production
I like how you guys are telling the stories that aren't always the headliner stories, keep digging deep for the good history stories that build the car culture that we love today!
As an architecture student. He is so cool and inspirational for me, I never knew him until now, thanks Donut!
Holy shit I always listened to this on Spotify and this is the first time I actually see joe and he really looks like Adam Sandler
I need one of those Donut skateboards
past gas on group b?
We love when the adjustable strap head covers the brows. Such a look
I'm 21.
College dropout.
Listening to this podcast while scraping undercoat off my car.
Same age in the UK, listening while adding conduit to the rear harness of mine :')

College dropout
Drug addict
Listening to this while putting da laptop in da civic
(It’s only for a quick tune lol)
This was unexpected but very appreciated. OG Need For Speed games introduced me to Italdesign and Giorgetto Guigaro, and it's my favorite design house. Thank you for this wonderful gift! It was very fun and informative.
you guys need to show example pics of the thing you’re mentioning pleaseeee!!
Love the pod boys, always gets me fired up for Sundays
I love the podcast, keep up the good work guys, I listen every Monday on my way to work 👌🏾👍🏾
Love your new show! keep up the good work!

up. great podcast too.
The VW Fox is a Brazilian car originally called as Voyage in Brazil, it's the sedan version of the VW Gol, Jamie also have a Saveiro, the ute version of the Gol and Voyage.
I think my favorite part of Past Gas is watching Nolan try his best to be the exasperated HR filter for James and Joe.
Best one thus far guys, great stuff
Long live the yellow bar of freedom. Nice hat too Joe🤪
Wait, James is Nolan’s father ?
Yes
ngl dude i’ve been watching donut everyday for like 4 months and i still don’t know if it’s a joke or not
%100 percent
Yep
@@cole6921 It's a joke, James is only 8 years older than Nolan lol.
i love seeing the classic up to speed animations
Joe looks baked af
Missed a f-bomb when you’re talking about the gt😂
I love James’ expression @37:55
I love these podcasts n have rewatched most of em at least once some up to 5 times already they're great, one thing I'd like to hear tho would be nice to hear some BMW stories 🤘
Past gas is the best podcast 🔥

Hell yeah keep the nu metal references comin!
Or should I say, keep em rollin rollin rollin on in...
I stumbled across the fact that one man designed ALL of my favorite cars a few months back researching the Subaru svx! I’m stoked you guys decided to talk about him as there are few documentaries on him in English also now I don’t have to learn how to make video essays! I almost did tho that’s how stoked I am on guigario!
Damn dude stepping up production value for sure
This was a great episode hopefully you would Di an episode on top gear
What an awesome intro lol I love Donut Podcasts!!!
Golf gang baby! Got the 1.9tdi for my baby mk1 last week!
I wonder what if they brought back the rabbit vw truck right now that would be great
Another interesting layer for Bill driving the Mangusta in Kill Bill is that the group of assassins including the Bride all have snake codenames.
Love you guys 🙌
I really, really enjoyed this episode.
Nolan, get a Golf!! I have a MK7 Golf and I love it.
I just bought a Volvo C30. The most fun hatch I've ever driven. Easily tuned and modded. reliable, and no constant CEL lol.
1960 Alpha Romeo 2000 description: a 56’ Corvette with a miniature Ford Edsel grill.
this was a cool podcast to listen to.
41:43 the Cadillac cien concept wouldve aged well; even being fast and furious
At the beggining it looks like webber has a 7head cause of that hat's wide gap
I kinda would like an podcast about dale earnhardt, just for fun :)
The Isuzu impulse/piazza is one of his most underrated designs.
VW Rabbit Pickup aka Caddy (MK1) is probs my fav VW car ever.
i still can't believe how sick the donut deck behind Joe is... I need one!
I first started watching up to speed. Found out about podcasts, then listened to all of them while I'm driving and at work. This is my first time watching you guys and first time seeing Joe. I know he made reference that he wasn't in dead pool but he kind of looks like what he sounds like lol
The VW Fox is a Brazilian project. It was created a few years after Golf, to replace VW Beetle in Brazil. As a premise, VW BX platform must use aircooled engines. For that reason, VW BX (Fox) platform has a longitudinally-mounted engine.
VW Brazil took Scirocco design as inspiration, and a modified VW Passat undercarriage, adapted to receive aircooled engines. Turns out the aircooled VW Gol (Fox) and Saveiro (Fox "Caddy") were underpowered and sales flopped. Then, VW decided to install a 1.8 litre with the infamous 49G camshaft, more compression ratio, 5-speed, closed ratio gearbox, sport exhaust, a bigger carburetor, Recaro seats, snowflake wheels, amongst other aesthetical and performance changes to create the VW Gol GT - Brazilian interpretation of the Golf GTI. Even the golf-ball shift knob this hot hatch received. Shortly after, they took the VW Gol with aircooled engines off of the line and replaced by 1.6 or 1.8 litre watercooled engines.
Sales skyroketed from there and VW Gol retained the title for best-selling car in Brazil for decades to come.
The pool is also cool over here in the MR2 waters. 4AGE, 3SGTE, 2ZZ. We've got three hot tubs bother
37:55 this shot where James is gone is very funny for me some how
It's wild that fiat was italy's general motors back then and now it's America's chrysler
Growing up, my dad had an 03 Jetta and an 02 Mini Cooper s. Around 2006 mini came out with the “clubman” which I didn’t know was a wagon until I bought an 09 in 2019 and actually looked at the registration. The thing is roomy af for a mini and for sure looks cooler. Fast forward to 2021 and my dad is going on and on about a Jetta wagon when he finally buys and tows one home for his next project. Now we have a mini hatchback a mini wagon a Jetta sedan and a Jetta wagon and it’s a whole vibe. My sister drives a 128i and I am trying so hard to convince her to get a bmw wagon but she hates wagons lmao. Anyway, I wanna start a club. Hit me up lol
Swagons United Club California because wagons succ haha
Look under the hood of A first gen Supra. Compare the air can with first gen Eclipse. Compare the air meter with late 80's Mazda's. There is other likenesses to other manufacturer's vehicles as well.
Next compare the names VTEC, Vortec, Voltec, Duratec, Ecotec and Ecoboost.
Funny story: my first car was a wagon. A 1990 Toyota Carolla station wagon, and I had it for about 6 months, till my dad sold it cuz I never had the interest to drive at the time, which is ironic cuz my huge ass car enthusiast self dreams of driving a 2000hp GTR lmao
Hi, Nolan, Joe and James.
You are doing a great job!!!👍👍👍👍👍😁😁😁😁😁😁👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
Just wanted to point out that the Cadillac Cien Concept is actually a mid engine car with a 7.5-liter, V-12 powerplant (Which is is a concept engine from GM Powertrain dubbed the Northstar XV12) while the Cadillac 16 Concept is the one with the V16 (named after the no. of cylinders its engine has).
Otherwise, great job!!!!!
Hey, also, can you make a Up to speed/Wheelhouse/Past gas episode on the American company Vector, please?????
Thank you very much.
Regards, Swapneel Dey.
* Regards, Swapneel Dey from India.
This was probably my favorite episode yet! I love these podcasts!
Ayyy Nolan noticed us
Me trying to lift while joe is describing what a girlfriend is. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why is the audio cut off for the first 2 seconds of video?
Whoooooooooo 🤪 the yellow bar is back BABY!!!!
The whole used car market is aching for inventory right now, enthusiast cars especially, but if you search by "VW Rabbit" you'll find a couple of MK1s'... but yeah those are endangered species in the US.
Shouldn't we get a new hilow episode today too?
yeah i was wondering where is hilow.
mini up to speed on the fox?
B5 passat is also longitudinal fwd
@37:55.. James just disappeared lol
How does a car designer earn a living? Like, I mean, there just aren't that many cars, and it it only takes an afternoon to draw one, what do you do with the rest of your day? How do you keep the workflow coming in?
More of A hobby, you will need another job.
Super late to the game. But can yinz do a pod cast on the ghost camaro of the bosnia war???
Yes we need that.
So the Fox is a long nose Jetta due to the longitudinal engine placement? should have made it an FR instead of FF. Would have sold more and made it stand out more.
@joeweber why are your brows hidden by that hat???
They changed the police siren up to a wawa type instead of the "normal" police siren , people were calling the police because they thought it was a UFO flying around. [I know I was a kid then it was definitely a weird sound]
Eeey I'm one of those furries that follows you on twitter, thanks for the shoutout
Nolan's pantera experience ruined a dream for me too.
where's the sound at the beginning???
can you please do an episode on the life and times of phil remington, best automotive fabrication bodyman there ever was!
The way we use mudiga it means breading
I have a daewoo lanos as trackcar so lil shout i guess👌
Everyone loves some past gas.
James use the squeaky in public, freak people out
I saw an audi quattro today so yeah that was cool
A turbocharger shaped pasta!!!
The Iso Griffo is a perfect Nolan car because it’s actually powered by a Chevy engine. Learned that in a Petrolicious episode. I WANT IT SO BAD
Joes hat position completely endorsed by Gabi
@J Swett keep your propaganda off my post
Pump you and I are the same fucking person. I do that with the squeaker too and it confuses the shit out of my dogs😂 makes for great playtime
anyone notice the smilarity between joe an T.J. Miller? they look really alike
@nolanjsykes looks somewhat British in that TommoF1 pic, I don’t know. I just thinks he looks like a guy on SKY TV.
Past gas on henry ford
