I much prefer the Fifine K688 on your voice when compared to the PodMic. PodMic is definitely built better but sonically, too much of the mids and low end response is scooped out.

I am, but I don't think the new mic is A TON better. TBH I can't hear a huge difference in my voice, but my voice is very... flat?! lol. If you are recording your audio (and not using in stream type of situation) you can consider enhancing your audio in editing softwares like Premiere. It helps a lot!!
I use this arm and I love it: amzn.to/45tkfvH It's sturdier (so makes less noise) than some cheaper arms!! The cheap arms makes really horrible noises that get recorded in videos...
U said u use xlr and usb at same time... Your usb is connected to software while your xlr is connected to audio interface? Why the hassle if same outcome pls teach us?
It was mostly for testing purposes but I can see if I want a backup it would be nice to have an extra recording on the computer! But yes, recording on both XLR and software is a lot! The XLR connection should have better quality
I have it over 2 months I can say it’s a very good mic especially for its low prise but for my sound card, cause I was using it with my focusrite 2nd gen it wasn’t working as well in the XLR. BUT with the usb c it’s also very good but make sure to get a 3.0 usb c cable cause they don’t send it with the 3.0 which is required (idk why very weird tbh) but over all very good

I think it's pretty good! On par with my $100 rode podmic and way better than a Blue Yeti if you ever tried that mic!
How to connect it to android
I'm not familiar with Android... are you able to connect it via USBC?
I tried using usb straight to my computer it never worked all i here is a hsssss sound
The computer might have never detected the mic! Maybe check for mic input settings both on the computer and the software you're trying to use!
For on the move, I will still prefer the Shure MV7 though. ;-)
