Hey! Nice review! The MV7 sounds way better, if you put it towards the corner of you mouth about a fist away, you'll reduce a lot the plosives and the air that gets in the mic, and sound is more clean! Keep it below the red on the meters! Great one! Take care!!😊
Thank you so much! That’s a great tip, I never know if my voice is too quiet or too loud so I am trying to figure out a good distance 😆 I’ll have to try this!
The Shure sounds a bit richer and more dimensional, and I love the "dark" mode! But the FiFine sounds quite lovely unless comparing it side by side to the Shure.
I agree, after using it for a while and relistening back to this video, the Shure has a deeper “richness” to it while the Fifine can sound a little pinched, but it could also be my voice!
I’m not a big audio buff I didn’t hear I big difference at all as someone who was listening on mobile and even on desktop through speakers so both are great mics
Almost impossible to tell the difference in sound quality - The Sure did have the edge but was definitely NOT worth the extra cost. How long each mic will last is probably where the real difference lies
i keep watching comparisons and mv7 sounds a lot more flat compared to the K688 imo. The preamp in the K makes it sound warmer and fuller in all tests I've watched anyway..even the lower end black one
Hi Paula, I got the k688 fifine mic last weekend for my streams and RUclips. When I record it sounds a bit muffled, can I ask what you record your audio with?
Lol literally just did the same swap. Had my Blue Yeti for 10 years and it's had enough spit abuse. haha Looking forward to the k688 which arrives tomorrow. (Through XLR)
@@PaulaMads That's good to hear! The yeti has been a staple for many years and it's been the go to mic but my rooms are never treated with sound proofing. I needed a dynamic one for sure. Any regrets with the K688?
Which mic do you prefer?

The MV7 sounds much better IMO but the K688 is good enough for most people.
Yes, both mics are great but I agree if you listen closely there is a quality difference!

Awesome. I’m also not a big expert yet with my audio so for typical consumer use, it’s great there’s lots of price points to choose from

I agree! I also love how non-fussy the Fifine is, it’s just plug and play. You can’t beat the convenience.

Hello! I was using OBS studio when I was sharing my screen. But for voiceovers with no video, I use Audacity.
And I max out the gain on the mic, hopefully that helps!
Both sooo good!
Hard to pick!
I need some more mics!

@@TheSarzFather I was so sad when my yeti finally started breaking haha but the k688 has been great!!
