you’re such a special human, man. always speaking life into your viewers, making a connection with us, letting us know you’re exactly like us and that we truly can do whatever we put our minds to. thank you for always offering us a different perspective from an older & wiser persons point of view without it being negative. you’re more appreciated than you know ❤️
What a special comment! Truly can't think you enough for sharing this with me. I could hit 100,000 subscribers tomorrow and it wouldn't be as special as this. Thank you so much!
So many of us come from broken homes now. It is sad. But...we overcome...that is what we do! I trust you have as well. Hate that we share the pain of divorce but glad we can relate with each other!
New favorite video you have done! The mic settings are perfect too. You are such a special and caring and wonderful human being Derek. Thank you for sharing all this knowledge with us.
You've had a very interesting journey my friend, a very inspiring journey! From rags to riches. You're always so thoughtful and humble and so down to Earth. THIS is what makes your RUclips channel so good. I've thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this community and I've learnt some great advice. You're like a mentor to us all. I do hope this path of twists and turns, dead ends and ditches that I am currently on leads me to success and happiness. And even though now it feels like I'm getting no where, I do believe that with enough dedication and drive I will get somewhere.
You are definitely going somewhere, Draig. You have to know that this struggle is going to pay dividends in the future. It is forging your character and making you a stronger man. I know you are vulnerable right now with an unclear path but I truly believe the answer is right around the corner and I know you are going to be a better man for having survived this time of your life.
You are very inspirational man, im going thru some stuff in my life which i cant really do anything about and i try to manage my way thru each day happy and feeling like i did something today. I am working towards maybe more fulfilling life than successful life but those two often go somewhat hand in hand in different ways. I appreciate your videos and attitude, been subscribed for a couple of months but been scrolling through these gems everyday. Keep it up man you are so great and wise💪🏻💯
Man you don't know what that does for me when you tell me that these help you. This is exactly why I post videos. I hate that you are going through a hard time but there is also a part of me that understands that without this struggle you are enduring, you would not be able to grow into a stronger man. You will get through this! If there is ever anything specific you want me to talk about, please let me know! Hang in there brother. Life is going to be great!
Not even 3 minutes and you said something so powerful. I’m only 23. I have so much regrets from my early teen years, but hearing you say that “that is tomorrow…and I get to choose what I do tomorrow”. It’s late at night, I’m extra sensitive. So simple yet so deep, thank you for that
i'm finally catching up with your videos, i binged a ton of them around 6 months ago. i absolutely love your whispered voice and really appreciate this video :) it does bring a lot of hope to me about the future. thank you for doing asmr and connecting to us!! i just graduated college and have been experiencing a lot of imposter syndrome at my job, and have been worried about a lot. thank u so much for your transparency with everything and i can't wait for more videos!!
I suffered with imposter syndrome myself for many years. I am glad these videos help because that is exactly why I talk about this stuff. I wish I could have heard a lot of this early on and it would have saved me a lot of stress and worry.
Really appreciate your down to earth and personal content. Been a sub for a bit and I feel so inspired after your videos like this. Hope you hit your goal man!!
I'm so glad you can gain some inspiration from my story. I am definitely living proof anyone can make it! Thank you for sharing and for the encouragement. I hope you hit your goals too!
it’s awesome and really nice to hear your story and how you worked for where you got and you’re experiences especially at a younger age and with me being 17 approaching my adult hood leaving the teenage years it’s great to learn and find out new things from someone like you who is very experience thank you and love the videos you’ve come to be the only asmr channel i really watch since this past year and i’m glad you’re doing it
I'm so honored that you feel these help you, Joey. You are young and have a lot of life in front of you. I have started posting life lessons on my Derek Manis channel so once I get all those posted I think it will be a great guiding path for young people to follow and avoid a lot of the road blocks I encountered along my journey. Thank you for your kindness along this journey with me, Joey!
Hey Reality, thanks again for another great video. My goodness do I get happy when you upload. Im not sure if you recall but a few months back I was in a rather dark place and I had commented on a video of yours and you took time out of your day to give me some great advice that I still think about to this day. I just want to say thank you for all you do and all the positive energy you put into this world. I appreciate you.
Its a two way street. I make the videos but your comments energize me to keep going. There is an old saying...."A society grows great when wise men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit under." You say my videos help you but you help me by letting me know! Appreciate you so much!
Trust me bro...those feelings ain't gonna stop. I'm 52 now and I got a lot more gone than you do. You got time...just trust in yourself and put in the discipline!
this video is absolutely beautiful. the message too. its so good. everything about u is soo inspiring. i just graduated and im going to uni and i am very very nervous. this video just helped me and reminded me that theres always a way where i can just start over again. thank u so so much honestly.
In my video that is uploading right now...I thought of you when I spoke about being scared and unsure of which way to go. The video will be up soon and I hope it brings you more encouragement. It has been 30 years since I was in the position you are in now but I still remember what it feels like. I have faith that, like me, you will also figure it out and end up in a wonderful place!
I'm 32, and I have not accomplished anything in life, really. I battle a lot of anxiety and depression. It's hard to get motivated. I have a lot of excuses which I need to get rid of. Your story gives me hope that it's not too late for me. I appreciate your videos man!
Its certainly not too late. You just have to push through and do it even though you don't want to. It feels horrible either way. Its pain if you do it and pain if you don't but the pain of doing it leads to good. You either are disciplined and do it or you don't do it and feel the pain of disappointment. Just push through bro...you can do it!
I absolutely appreciate you. I hope to hear more from you in the future. Sometimes it’s just not that easy being scared, insecure and feeling alone… Thank you for understanding and comforting us when we’re lost. ♡
That means the world to me and you are very welcome. Its a win win if you get something out of these because I make them to give back to the world and you confirming that these help you makes me keep going! Bless your heart!
Thank you, Yusra! I am glad you find this interesting. I have been an open book but there is more to tell. I have been asked to do another one of these but this time talking about more personal matters rather than work. It is coming soon:)
Excited to watch, just getting to bed, I hope your night is going well! 8:33 was super relaxing when you were talking in a more unintelligible whisper away from the camera. Maybe a new video idea!?
1st off amazing video!!!Love your whispers and the settings are on point. 2nd YOUR REALLY 51?!?!Jesus i thought you were around 40!!!Mans like a good wine😂 3rd lovely talk,i learned a bit to be honest as im always worried about future stuff,so hearing your experiences definetely helps.Again,ty for the video and the tingles.Hope you have a wonderful day!❤
I made some audio enhancements on this one due to the fact I kept turning away from the mic and it sounded odd without modifications. Glad you still enjoyed it and appreciate the kindness about my age!
In the classic "draw my life" videos, its more about explaining your life as a whole from the beginning like where you were born and your family growing up to all the little things in between to where you are now. It would really be so awesome if you explained everything in a longer video. I don't want to write this to pressure you to making that video, i love this video, but i want to here your whole story.
Of course, I love you my dear Soul Mate 😁🤪 that's why I subscribed! Not only this. Im totally in love in your whispers Derek! It was pleasure to listen to this story with Your calm voice 💚❤️
Not only did I find this channel, watch a lot of your videos, I also find out you and I live in the same state. I also just got a job at Toyota….yesterday….. so many good signs
@@sheagod69 Oh wow! Amazing! Toyota is such an amazing company. I have mad respect for the Japanese culture. Congrats on landing such an amazing job! Super stable and great benefits and easy enough schedule that you can handle a side biz if you wanted to!
Such an interesting and also hard working life :) I am kinda interested in what sort of work you had to put to revive that Toyota dealer! Maybe a nice topic for a video?
Love this video! Very motivational with fantastic advice. Congratulations on such a successful life. Cool to here that you live in Indiana as well! I am in Bloomington. Go Hoosiers!
Ironically I currently work at a Toyota dealership I started as a receptionist but now I’m the sales administrator! It’s not what I want to be doing in life my passion is making music but u struggle finding investors because it’s not cheap to be heard. Though The dealership teaches me many skills mainly communication and for that I am grateful. Some days I get that same stagnant miserable feeling but I know I’m still young I’m 22 in the right Devine timing everything will work out!
One of the first few vidoes of yours i have watched and didint know you lived in indiana i do to! Also keep up the great work cant wait to see more from you (i live in fishers)
Wow this was awesome!! Thank you for this video :) What do you think other then your past jobs and being in sales made you catapult in real estate and really do amazing in just few years? Truly awesome to see your journey I just turned 30 and made my first 100k + last year in sales and from 16-30 my goodness the amount of jobs I did lol talk about labor intensive. From construction to truck driver to wear house work lol ex ex ex.. Really cool to see your journey and then see where I’m at in mine 🙏🏽, this video was much needed.. thank you!!
I'm so glad you can relate to this and hopefully gain some hope for what the future holds for you. With growth like you have experienced recently, it is likely you will be able to propel yourself like I did. My real estate succeeded quickly because of the clientele I built up over the years selling electronics and cars. I carried that database over to real estate and it just exploded. I also utilized sites like Realtor.com and Zillow.com to pay for leads and that helped me get up and running quickly too. Technology has made real estate so much easier than it used to be in the past.
Have been watching your vids and I can tell we have some differences in worldview, but man I want to say what an amazing role model of a guy you are. I think young men are a bit lost these days in terms of knowing what a positive vision of masculinity looks like, and I really think you have to be one of the top examples I can think of. Keep doing what you’re doing.
Really appreciate you saying this. I see the same issue you see and doing my part to try and help. I'm getting through to the few who have found me...just struggling to get a bigger audience but am growing ever slowly.
I recently lost my mom to cancer I’m 18 with a part time job looking to go to university studying film production. Part of me feels so lost at the moment, but I’m just taking one day at a time. This provided me with a sense of relief and calm thankyou.
It evolves slowly but you truly are in control of your life. I know you can't bring your mom back but you can decide how to guide your life from here on. Every decision is so important. When my brother died I began a spiritual quest because if there is an afterlife, I wanted to make sure I got the chance to see my brother again. I also dove myself into my work because I realized how short life can be and how quickly it can end. I knew time was of the essence if I was going to accomplish my goal of finding financial freedom while I still had time to enjoy it. At 18 you have time to breathe...time to really plot and plan what you want....how you wish to honor your mother's legacy and ultimately where you want your life to be. I hope that in 10 years, we are still connected and you are somewhere wonderful in your life. That choice is entirely yours and something tells me you will get there. This experience is going to make you capable of handling a lot of things people your age cannot. Use this power to your advantage. There truly is beauty in the pain....you just got find it and harness it to move you forward each day! Thank you for sharing this with me!
When I made it I was shocked too. It was July of that year and I had made $300k and I just couldn't believe it. I just wanted to do real estate as a hobby but it exploded on me. I will be discussing how to be successful in real estate on my Derek Manis channel. I started a sales training video series and am up to 5 videos so far in the last 5 days. I expect it will take about 100 videos to complete and am committed to making one video per day. Once it is completed, I will start making shorts videos to try to send people to the site to promote it but want to get them all made before I try to get a lot of folks over there.
Funny world we live in. Pretty girls who get there knockers out will make 100k subs in months. This guy makes meaningful content and yet to hit 5k in 3 years, blows my mind. I can tell you don’t really care about the subs but keep doing what you’re doing, you’re up there with the best
Its so funny you say this because I know in my heart my channel would be so much bigger if I was a hot chic. I'm ok with it though. I have a lot of great subscribers that I know value what I talk about and make it worth my time to keep posting. I am slowly growing so that helps too. Any progress at all is motivational to me so I just keep posting. Sincerely appreciate you taking the time to write this comment. It made my day!
@@ASMRReality would be very interested to get more of an insight into your work and how you go about your work day as a video. Not sure how feasible a video like that would be as I imagine a lot of it is spent with clients, but whatever you could come up with would make an interesting video
Spent a lot of my life in that spot of just grinding out in a job I didn't like because I didn't know where to go. Man you just have to find some quiet time and really dwell on it. It will come to you!
I made a video on my other channel (Derek Manis). I explain how I did it. I have made a few real estate videos here too. I did have the advantage of having a large database of people from my car career and that really helped launch my real estate business.
Hey! I never usually comment on videos, but I just couldn’t hold back on this one. I’m currently a junior in college and, to be honest, I have no idea what I want to do with my life. But this video has lit a fire inside me to look for a career that makes me excited! There’s so much pressure to find a job that performs well-even if it’s not something that satisfies your personal desires. I was wondering if you’ve come across any books or articles that helped create the mindset you have now? I’d love to hear your recommendations and possibly chat in the future about this! Thanks for the absolutely amazing video!
Awaken The Giant Within was probably the most influential book I read that got me on the right path and motivated me to believe it was possible to get myself out of poverty. Since then, the book that changed my life the most was "Twelve Rules for Life" by Jordan Peterson. I quite my 20 year career with Toyota right after reading that book because I knew I wasn't doing what made me happy. Wishing you the best, my friend! I'd be happy to chat with you anytime if you need anything!
I love this video, i am 18 in college but i’m not sure if i want to continue on this route. I have to ask, did u go through any college education? ik you said you became a finance manager at one of the dealerships and that’s amazing, but i just wonder was all this done without a college education?
I did it with no college at all bro and so can you. Most dealerships promote from within so if you are a good salesperson, they will promote you to finance manager then sales manager then general manager. It made a great living for me and allowed me to retire early!
I know I found your channel somewhat late, but I really love the content, your energy, and you seem like a great guy overall. However, I'm in a situation where I have no idea what to do with my life. I'm 17 years old in Finland, finishing my third year of construction school, and on route to become an excavator driver. I've worked two summer jobs and had about a year in the business, but I really don't see myself doing it in the future, and I just feel so lost because I don't know what else to do. I feel like I've wasted three years of my life if I quit the business. Any advice? I'd really like to work in sales, but I'm just terrified to take that leap.
I’m 23 years old. College is not for me. I found my passion and know I can make money off of it, but in order to start making money off of it and make it into a functioning business I need a lot of money. I’m currently working at a steakhouse and certainly don’t make enough money to support my dreams. Any advice? Should I go back to college, finish and find a job or start making money (im not really sure how in this market). Thank you!
College was not for me either. I would encourage you to follow your passion and find a way to make it happen. Hard for me to say exactly what I would do in your position with such little info but if you want to discuss it further you can email me. asmrreality@yahoo.com
I'm addicted to these hearts and not sure what I will do if they ever stop coming. Thank you for your consistency in my life. You may think I am joking but I am not!
You would be surprised how easy it is to buy leads. Realtor.com has free leads but they take part of your commission when you sell the person a home. Zillow.com charges by the month but you make a lot more money than what they charge. I make $4 for every $1 I spend with them. That is how I got started and from there, your previous clients send you people they know and family and it just starts growing! I have started a sales training course on my Derek Manis page. I have been posting one video a day for the last 5 days and plan to keep going every day with it. Eventually I will be to true sales training but I'm getting through the basics of getting started with the right mindset before I dive into the actual sales training. It will be coming soon though.
No worries at all. Heck its my discord and I forget to check it sometimes...lol. I am not creative unfortunately. I can barely draw a square. My brother got all the creative side. Moving is awful...hopefully you will be done with that soon!
I want to get a car and move in January, I turn 21 in august. I live with my dog and cat alongside a roommate of mine I met in college before I withdrew from my first semester. If anyone has tips I’d love to share, I take public transit everywhere and could use advice on getting some wheels, I have a decent credit score too.
Do you have a job? If you do, you should be able to get a loan for a car from the bank you have your account with. Feel free to email me asmrreality@yahoo.com and we can discuss this.
You should not say those things about yourself. Ugly and depressed are not good labels. You may not look like you want to look and you may not feel as happy as you want but saying it that way is much better than using those words. I recently made a video on my Derek Manis channel titled "what did you say to me" about this very topic. You are so young and have your whole life ahead of you. Your looks will evolve as will the way you feel. Things will get better. Just start to work on yourself and you will begin to see changes! Watch that video!

@@sheagod69 Oh wow! Amazing! Toyota is such an amazing company. I have mad respect for the Japanese culture. Congrats on landing such an amazing job! Super stable and great benefits and easy enough schedule that you can handle a side biz if you wanted to!
Oh whattt Right before bed!! 🙌🏼 excited for this video
Hope you were able to stay awake for all of it!
Such an interesting and also hard working life :)
I am kinda interested in what sort of work you had to put to revive that Toyota dealer! Maybe a nice topic for a video?
Great idea! It was not easy but I don't regret a day of it! Thank you so much for you consistent kindness to me!
Your whispers are so crispy! Not sure how you do it lol 😴
Not sure how either but just glad you like them enough to keep listening. Thank you so much!
Love this video! Very motivational with fantastic advice. Congratulations on such a successful life. Cool to here that you live in Indiana as well! I am in Bloomington. Go Hoosiers!
Always great to hear from a local! Very few local people here so definitely appreciate you being here.
For sure! Love your videos! I've got that notification bell on!@@ASMRReality
Always uplifting to hear your take on life.🙌
Grateful you like my content, my friend.
Your voice is very relaxing! Thank you😊. Hello from Wyoming 👋
Might be my first subscriber from Wyoming! Happy to have you here!
What about posting music online like Justin Bieber did. Thats how he got found by Usher.
One of the first few vidoes of yours i have watched and didint know you lived in indiana i do to! Also keep up the great work cant wait to see more from you (i live in fishers)
Welcome to the team, neighbor! Maybe some day we will cross paths!!!
Great video, thank you❤❤❤
Love the video. Thank you for the advice ❤
Love that you found help in this! Thank you for sharing!
A video on sales tactics that you have learned would be awesome to see!!
You might like my other channel "Derek Manis." It is not ASMR but I go into more life and sales advice on that channel.
Wow this was awesome!! Thank you for this video :)
What do you think other then your past jobs and being in sales made you catapult in real estate and really do amazing in just few years?
@@ASMRReality this means a lot!! again I appreciate everything you do and that’s for you knowledge, so happy to have found you :)

dope ass video bro keep doing this
SO happy you like this!
sir, you are a legend!
Humbled by that comment, my friend. Just glad you are here with me!
I'm getting through to the few who have found me...just struggling to get a bigger audience but am growing ever slowly.
love your videos!!!!
Love you for loving them!
Absolute legend
If you said that to my face I would bow to you! I'm here to serve and humbled at your compliment!
@@ASMRReality thankyou I hope so too
When you said 500k my jaw dropped
When I made it I was shocked too. It was July of that year and I had made $300k and I just couldn't believe it. I just wanted to do real estate as a hobby but it exploded on me. I will be discussing how to be successful in real estate on my Derek Manis channel. I started a sales training video series and am up to 5 videos so far in the last 5 days. I expect it will take about 100 videos to complete and am committed to making one video per day. Once it is completed, I will start making shorts videos to try to send people to the site to promote it but want to get them all made before I try to get a lot of folks over there.
Very relaxing ❤
Thats what I like to hear!
@@JDalston I think I can figure something out to kind of show what my work is like. Appreciate the idea!
Great words from a great man.

Thank you, Nathan!
Great video! I’m in my late 20’s an I don’t like my job/career path in commercial real estate lending but I have no idea where to go next
Spent a lot of my life in that spot of just grinding out in a job I didn't like because I didn't know where to go. Man you just have to find some quiet time and really dwell on it. It will come to you!
@@ASMRReality thank you so much 🙏🏻
Thank you so much love you bro!
Love you enough to make the video you asked for! Its coming soon bro!
Great human being :)
Humbly saying thank you for this beautiful comment.
How did you get into real estate? Did you contact people? I’m assuming due to your sales background you could just jump into it?
I made a video on my other channel (Derek Manis). I explain how I did it. I have made a few real estate videos here too. I did have the advantage of having a large database of people from my car career and that really helped launch my real estate business.
The way my jaw dropped when you talked about transitioning to real estate.
It came as a shock to me too!
Always good
Life is good brother!

@@ASMRReality Thank you so very much!
Love you man
I feel the love! Hope you do too!
hello, i’m 18 looking at starting real estate as a career early, do you think you could make a video on how to get started and some tips?
I made this video about getting started in real estate on my other channel.
Hope this helps you! ruclips.net/video/14Pz7Wlvkbw/видео.html
Any advice? I'd really like to work in sales, but I'm just terrified to take that leap.
also i have dipped my toes into day trading with a demo account etc but not researched enough to start doing it with real money.
❤❤
I'm addicted to these hearts and not sure what I will do if they ever stop coming. Thank you for your consistency in my life. You may think I am joking but I am not!
@@ASMRReality Awww shucks! Thanks for making me smile!! ❤❤
How were you able to find such success in real estate?
This is awesome!!! 😃 do you consider yourself creative? Also apologise I’ve not replied to you on discord, I’ve been moving house 😄
@@ASMRReality just sent you an email, I appreciate your passion!

No apology needed! You have done so much for me already!
It looks backward...
Yep it was. I recorded it with the wrong side of my phone.
I’m 14 and I’m ugly and depressed what should I do with my life this was very calming btw
Watch that video!
great viddd
Thank you, Cherrypi! Glad you liked this one!
I cant read anything its all mirrored 🥹
Sorry about that. Not sure how to fix that?? Do you know how?
