Help. Need opinions. My application needs a gravel base ranging from 2 to 6 inches and I'm concerned about settling. Should I use crushed rock or Pea gravel (or larger round gravel)? I've heard that pea gravel will not settle to crushed rock.
Ok, we are putting in a 25' circle and will be placing a fire pit in the center. We are going to till the area up and scoop out most of the dirt. How low should we dig out? We are in Kentucky and our soil is mostly that orange clay dirt. Another question I have is should I put a layer of gravel then the wire then poor the cement over that? Or should I do no gravel, wire or re barb then the cement? New to this but I want to get it done right.
awesome@ cant believe theres so few comments. i kinda get the twthering the compactor thing, but my construction knowledge is not good enough to comprehend it w/o seeing it
Many thanks, I have been researching "how to build a crushed stone foundation for a shed" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Damkietor Nonpareil Dominion - (do a google search ) ? It is a smashing one of a kind product for building better sheds and woodworking without the hard work. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my friend got amazing success with it.

What does lifts refer to?
A lift is like a layer on a cake. Instead of one big layer it’s done in several small layers.
No water on the compaction is badddddd
